How to Deposit and Withdraw on OKX: USDT Networks and Fees (2026)

Updated Rules checked 2026-10-22

The most common way to deposit on OKX is to get USDT ready on another platform or wallet, then go to “Assets” → “Deposit” on OKX, copy the address and send it in. To withdraw, choose an on-chain withdrawal on the “Withdraw” page and send the funds to your own wallet or another exchange. OKX charges no deposit fee. Withdrawals carry a network fee per transaction: on 2026-10-22, USDT cost 1.5 USDT on TRC20 and 0.43 USDT on ERC20.

The mistake most likely to cost you money is picking the wrong network. OKX’s help center states that “the platform does not currently support USDT on BSC”, which means BEP20 USDT cannot be deposited into OKX. The coin and the network must match on both the sending side and OKX, and coins like XRP also need a tag (Memo/Tag). If you leave it out or choose the wrong option, you may not get the funds back.

Two more prerequisites: your OKX account must complete identity verification (KYC) before you can deposit or withdraw, and after you change your login password or verification method, withdrawals are blocked for 24 hours. Below I’ve put together the web and app steps, the fees for each USDT network, and why withdrawals get stuck and what to do about it.

Key points:
1. OKX charges no deposit fee; the withdrawing side pays the fee. A deposit below the minimum shown on the deposit page will not be credited. Only some coins can be recovered, and recovery costs an extra fee.
2. OKX does not support USDT on BSC (BEP20), and BEP20 was not on OKX’s USDT withdrawal list on 2026-10-22 either. When moving USDT in from another platform, use a network both sides support.
3. USDT on OKX’s withdrawal fee page on 2026-10-22: TRC20 1.5 USDT (minimum withdrawal 10 USDT), ERC20 0.43 USDT, Solana 0.3 USDT, Aptos 0.0023 USDT. Fees are adjusted with network conditions.
4. To send to another OKX user, choose the “OKX user” internal withdrawal and enter their phone number, email or UID. It arrives instantly with no network fee, and the recipient must have completed identity verification.
5. Withdrawals are blocked for 24 hours after you change your login password, phone, email or Google Authenticator. Crypto bought through P2P may trigger a T+3, T+7 or T+15 withdrawal restriction.

The information below was checked against OKX’s official pages on 2026-10-22 (fact-check date).

How to deposit on OKX: web and app steps

OKX calls moving crypto in a “Deposit” and moving it out a “Withdrawal”. The steps below follow OKX’s how to deposit (app) (updated 2026-10-06) and how to deposit (web) guides, using OKX’s English interface labels.

  1. App: tap “On-chain deposit” on the home screen, or tap “Assets” → “Deposit” → “Deposit”. Web: log in to the website and click “Assets” in the top-right corner → “Deposit”.
  2. Choose the “Coin” and “Network”. The withdrawal network on the sending side (another exchange or a wallet) must be the same as the deposit network you choose here.
  3. Under “Deposit to”, choose whether the funds go to your “Funding account” or “Trading account”.
  4. Copy the deposit address and paste it into the withdrawal address field on the sending side, or scan the QR code OKX shows with the sender’s scan feature. For coins that need a tag, the tag appears above the address, and you must fill in both.
  5. Check progress: in the app, open “Deposit history” in the top-right corner of “Assets” → “Deposit” → “Deposit”; on the web, go to “All deposit history”. The deposit only shows as successful after all block confirmations are complete.

Which USDT network should you use, and why not BEP20?

OKX’s deposit basics guide lists three conditions for a deposit to arrive: both sides use the same coin and network, the amount is above the minimum deposit, and the token contract address matches. After choosing the coin and network on the deposit page, click “Token contract” to see the contract address and confirm that the coins with the same name on both platforms really are the same token.

BEP20 is the network to watch. On Binance, Bitget and other platforms, BNB Smart Chain (BEP20) is often the cheapest network for withdrawing USDT, but OKX’s deposit guide states that “the platform does not currently support USDT and other digital assets on BSC”, and BEP20 was not on OKX’s USDT network list on 2026-10-22. To move USDT into OKX from another platform, pick a network both sides support, such as TRC20, ERC20, Solana or Aptos. For networks labeled “USDT0” (OKX’s Polygon, Arbitrum One, Plasma and others), compare the sender’s contract address first. If you’ve already sent funds on the wrong network, see how to recover a wrong-network deposit; for deposit and withdrawal terms, see deposit and withdrawal terms explained.

Where to find the Memo/Tag, minimum deposit and confirmations

  • Tag: coins like XRP need a tag (Memo/Tag) in addition to the address, usually a string of numbers. If you forget it or enter it wrong, OKX’s procedure is to submit a request through the app’s self-service tool for deposits that haven’t been credited (what to do if you forgot or entered the wrong tag).
  • Minimum deposit: shown on the deposit details page and different for each coin and network. OKX’s deposit and withdrawal fee guide states that deposits below the minimum will not be credited; currently only some coins can be recovered, and recovery costs an extra fee. The minimum deposit for each USDT network is not stated in OKX’s public guides, so check the deposit page.
  • Confirmations: the deposit page shows the confirmations needed for the deposit to be credited and the confirmations needed to unlock withdrawals. The deposit is credited once the first number is reached; until the second is reached, that asset cannot be withdrawn or sold on P2P. Block confirmations depend on the network, and OKX states that it cannot intervene or estimate the time.
  • One deposit per transaction: OKX states that you cannot bundle several deposits into one transaction, or they will not be received. Some deposit addresses were also updated starting 2025-03-27. Old addresses still work, but it’s best to copy your OKX address again if you saved it elsewhere or in an allowlist (why hasn’t my deposit been credited).

Which account does deposited USDT go to? Transferring between Funding and Trading accounts

An OKX main account is split into a “Funding account” and a “Trading account”. According to OKX’s asset transfer guide, crypto you buy (such as USDT) goes into the Funding account first, and you have to transfer it to the Trading account before you can trade spot or futures. If you set “Deposit to” to the Trading account when depositing, the funds go straight to the Trading account once credited. OKX does not state which account the deposit page selects by default, so just check that field before you deposit.

  • App: “Assets” → “Transfer” → choose “Within main account” → choose the from and to accounts → choose the coin and enter the amount → “Confirm”.
  • Web: “Assets” → “Transfer” → choose “Funding and Trading accounts” → the rest is the same as above.
  • Transfers between accounts are free, instant and have no limit. If a transfer fails, it’s usually because the assets are tied up in open positions, an unpaid loan or an Earn product you’ve subscribed to; close the position, repay the loan or redeem first. Futures use leverage: if the price moves against you, your position may be liquidated and you lose the margin.

No USDT yet? OKX’s official fiat deposit options

OKX lists three official ways to buy crypto with fiat. Whether you can use them, and which currencies are available, depends on where you live and your verification status; what you see on the order page is what applies.

How to withdraw from OKX: on-chain withdrawal steps

OKX offers two kinds of withdrawal: on-chain (sent over the blockchain to a wallet or another exchange) and withdrawal to an OKX user (an internal transfer). The on-chain steps below follow OKX’s how to withdraw (app) (updated 2026-10-02) and web withdrawal guide:

  1. In the app, tap “Assets” → “Withdraw” → “Withdraw crypto” and choose the coin; on the web, click “Assets” → “Withdraw”.
  2. Choose on-chain withdrawal, then a new or saved address, then the network. The network must match the one on the recipient’s deposit page. Choosing the wrong recipient type (exchange or wallet) is fine: OKX states that the withdrawal will still be processed as long as the network, address and other details are correct.
  3. Enter the address and amount. The amount must be above the minimum withdrawal and cannot exceed your account’s withdrawal limit. For coins that need a tag, enter both the address and the tag.
  4. In the app, “Select account” lets you withdraw from the Funding account or the Trading account. If the Funding account doesn’t have enough, the difference is taken from the Trading account.
  5. Complete two-factor authentication (2FA) and confirm. If you have a phone, email and authenticator app all linked, withdrawals require the authenticator app plus email verification; SMS cannot be used.

What are OKX’s USDT withdrawal fees and minimums?

OKX charges withdrawal fees per transaction, regardless of the amount, and adjusts them with network congestion. The table shows the common USDT networks on 2026-10-22:

Network (OKX display name)Withdrawal fee (USDT)Minimum withdrawal (USDT)Notes
Tron (TRC20)1.510Most expensive in the table, with the highest minimum

Source: OKX withdrawal fee page; I read the official public data that page loads (fee-amount-infos), checked on 2026-10-22. That day OKX offered 16 withdrawal networks for USDT; the table only includes the common ones. Fees change, so go by what the withdrawal page shows before you submit.

Withdrawing 100 USDT costs 1.5 USDT on TRC20, which is 1.5% of the amount; 0.43 USDT on ERC20; and only 0.0023 USDT on Aptos. The TRC20 fee is 5 times the Solana fee and about 650 times the Aptos fee. Small amounts feel it more: TRC20 requires a minimum withdrawal of 10 USDT, and if you withdraw exactly 10 USDT, the fee is 15% of it. Four TRC20 withdrawals a month cost 6 USDT; on ERC20 they cost 1.72 USDT. All of this assumes the recipient supports the same network. If the networks differ, a cheaper one is no use.

Factor in how fast the fees change, too. In the fact-check records of several articles on this site, OKX’s USDT fee on ERC20 was 0.35 USDT on 2026-10-11, 0.55 USDT on 10-12, 0.31 USDT on 10-21 and 0.43 USDT on 10-22. So go by the amount the withdrawal page shows at the time, and treat the figures in this article the same way. For USDT withdrawal fees at 13 exchanges, see USDT withdrawal fees compared.

Is the fee taken from your balance or from the withdrawal amount?

It depends on which version you use. According to OKX’s deposit and withdrawal fee guide (updated 2026-08-05), the web and newer apps (for example Android 6.151 and above) take the fee from your balance when it’s enough. If the balance covers only part of it, the balance is used up first and the rest comes out of the withdrawal amount. Choosing “Withdraw all” takes the fee straight from the withdrawal amount. Older apps (6.150 and earlier) always take it from the withdrawal amount, so the amount received equals the withdrawal amount minus the fee. If you need the recipient to get an exact figure, use the web or a newer app and make sure your account still holds enough for the fee.

How to set up the Address Book and withdrawal allowlist

It’s a good idea to save addresses you use often in the Address Book and then turn on the withdrawal allowlist (OKX’s name for a withdrawal whitelist). According to OKX’s withdrawal allowlist guide (web) (updated 2026-08-14):

  • Path: “Assets” → “Withdraw” → choose the coin → “On-chain withdrawal” → “Manage address book” → turn on “Allowlist mode”. Once it’s on, you can only withdraw to addresses in your Address Book and cannot type in a new address. Turning it off requires email and phone verification.
  • On the web you can add up to 50 addresses at a time, and there is no limit on the total number of addresses.
  • When adding an address you can skip verification for it: 30 days by default (extended automatically if you withdraw during that period), or permanently, or not at all so you verify every time.
  • There is also a “New address withdrawal lock”. With it on, new addresses added to the allowlist cannot receive withdrawals for 24 hours. It’s an anti-theft setting: even if your account is compromised and someone adds a new address, they have to wait a day before they can withdraw.

For a full rundown of the allowlist, anti-phishing code, passkeys and other settings, see exchange account security settings.

Is there a fee to send to another OKX user?

No. According to the FAQ on withdrawing to OKX users (updated 2026-08-11), when both sides are OKX users, choose “OKX user” as the recipient on the withdrawal page and enter the phone number, email, UID or sub-account name linked to the recipient. The funds move within the platform, arrive instantly, carry no network fee and need no blockchain confirmation.

  • The recipient must have completed identity verification, and the amount must be above the minimum withdrawal.
  • If you’re not sure the recipient is an OKX user, choose on-chain withdrawal as usual and paste the address. When the system recognizes an OKX address, it automatically ticks “Internal transfer, no network fee”.
  • You can cancel within 1 minute of submitting, free of charge. If wrong details send the funds to someone else’s account, OKX recommends contacting that person to return them first and contacting support only if you can’t reach them.
  • Common reasons a transfer won’t go through: you recently changed your password or security settings (wait 24 hours), you just turned on allowlist mode (new recipients are only available after 24 hours), your account triggered risk controls (OKX recommends completing one on-chain withdrawal first), or the recipient’s region doesn’t support internal withdrawals.

How long do OKX withdrawals take?

OKX does not publish a fixed arrival time. According to why hasn’t my withdrawal arrived (updated 2026-08-26), a withdrawal goes through four statuses: “Withdrawal requested” → “Pending” → “Withdrawing” → “Sent”. The first two are a queue; OKX says this usually takes a few minutes and longer when traffic is heavy, and you can cancel within 1 minute during these two stages. “Withdrawing” means waiting for block confirmations, which depends on the fee and network congestion. “Sent” means the assets have left OKX, and from then on you need to check with the recipient that they’ve been credited.

In a few cases it takes longer: when the hot wallet runs short and funds have to be moved from cold storage, OKX states that withdrawals may be delayed by up to 24 hours, and cancelling and resubmitting won’t make it faster (hot and cold wallet guide). For withdrawal history, the app shows the last 90 days and the web lets you view or download the last year.

OKX withdrawal stuck or failed? What to do

OKX’s why can’t I withdraw (updated 2026-08-05) sorts the causes into eleven categories. Start by checking whether the withdraw button can be clicked and what the error message says. The common ones are below:

Sources: why can’t I withdraw, T+N security protection guide (updated 2026-09-15), OKX fee page (24-hour withdrawal limit), checked on 2026-10-22.

A T+N appeal needs proof of payment and the last month’s statement for that payment method (PDF or screenshot), and OKX states it replies within 3 calendar days. If your account is frozen or restricted, OKX sends an email explaining why; check your inbox and spam folder and reply as the email instructs. Freeze causes and fixes at each exchange are covered in what to do if your exchange account is frozen, and withdrawal limits by KYC and VIP level are in exchange withdrawal limits compared.

OKX states that anyone who contacts you through QQ, Telegram, WeChat or other unofficial channels and asks you to transfer funds, scan a code or share a verification code is a scammer, even if they use an avatar or nickname that looks like OKX’s official one. Treat anyone who says you must first pay an “unfreezing fee”, “deposit” or “tax” before you can withdraw as a scammer; common tactics are covered in fake exchange withdrawal scams. If this happens to you in Taiwan, you can call the 165 anti-fraud hotline (165 反詐騙專線).

FAQ

Does OKX charge a deposit fee?

OKX charges no deposit fee; the sending side pays the network fee. When you move USDT into OKX from another platform, the fee is deducted on the sending platform and OKX charges nothing extra. The amount must be above the minimum deposit shown on the deposit page, or it will not be credited (OKX’s deposit and withdrawal fee guide).

Can I deposit USDT into OKX via BEP20?

No. OKX states that it does not currently support USDT on BSC. BEP20 was not on OKX’s USDT network list on 2026-10-22, so to move USDT in from another platform, use a network both sides support, such as TRC20, ERC20, Solana or Aptos, and confirm that the token contract address matches.

Which network is cheapest for withdrawing USDT from OKX?

On 2026-10-22 the lowest fee was Plasma (USDT0) at 0.0000058 USDT, followed by X Layer (USDT0) at 0.0022 USDT and Aptos at 0.0023 USDT; TRC20 was the most expensive at 1.5 USDT. Which one you can use depends on the networks the recipient supports, and fees are adjusted with network conditions, so go by the withdrawal page.

Is there a fee to send crypto to a friend on OKX?

If your friend is also an OKX user, an “OKX user” internal withdrawal is free and arrives instantly. Just enter the phone number, email or UID linked to their account. They must have completed identity verification, and you can cancel within 1 minute of submitting.

How long after changing my OKX password can I withdraw?

24 hours. OKX states that after you change your login password, phone, Google Authenticator or email, withdrawals are blocked for 24 hours and the block lifts automatically when time is up. Linking an email, phone or authenticator app for the first time lets you withdraw right away with no wait.

My OKX withdrawal shows “Sent” but the recipient hasn’t received it. What now?

“Sent” means the assets have left OKX, so check with the recipient. First, in your withdrawal history, click the icon next to the “TxID” to check the on-chain status. If the block isn’t confirmed yet, wait. If the wrong network was used, the tag was left out or the recipient doesn’t support that coin, contact the receiving platform, because on-chain transfers are irreversible and OKX cannot recall them.

How much can I withdraw from OKX per day?

OKX’s 24-hour withdrawal limit depends on your fee tier. On the fee page on 2026-10-22, it was USD 10,000,000 for regular users, USD 20,000,000 for VIP 1 and USD 80,000,000 for VIP 8 and VIP 9. On the web, after you choose a coin, the “24h available limit” appears on the right of the withdrawal page.

Can I withdraw a deposit as soon as it’s credited?

You have to wait until the deposit reaches the confirmations needed to unlock withdrawals before you can withdraw it or sell it on P2P. The deposit page shows the confirmations needed for crediting and for unlocking separately. If crypto you bought through P2P triggers T+N, you’ll also need to wait another 3, 7 or 15 days.

If you don’t have an OKX account yet, sign-up steps and the referral code are in OKX referral code, and the identity verification steps are in the OKX KYC guide. Trading fees and VIP thresholds are in OKX fees, and an overview of the platform is in the OKX review.
