Updated Rules checked 2026-10-12
Whether you can see if your exchange account has a referral code, and whose code it is, depends on the exchange. I went through the official documentation of 13 exchanges, and only 5 state that invitees can see their own bound referral code or referrer: OKX, Bybit, MEXC, Pionex and Ourbit. Seven of them, Binance, Bitget, Gate, KuCoin, HTX, XT.COM and WEEX, offer no official place for invitees to check. BingX’s “My Referrer” is where you add a code, and BingX doesn’t say whether it shows your referrer once you’re bound.
On exchanges where you can’t see your referrer, look at your rebate records instead: if rebates arrive in your account after you trade, the referral is working. If you’re sure you aren’t bound, check the deadline for adding a code first. Binance and MEXC allow 30 days after sign-up, Bybit and Pionex 14 days; after that, your only options are switching or opening another account.
This site can’t see anyone’s exchange account and can’t check a binding for you. You have to log in to your own account to follow the paths below.
Key points
Of the 13 exchanges, 5 officially state that invitees can see their own bound referral code or referrer: OKX, Bybit, MEXC, Pionex and Ourbit.
Binance doesn’t say where invitees can see their referrer, but it does state that shared rebates are converted to USDC every hour and paid to the spot account within 6 hours.
OKX states that the “My Rewards” page shows the rebate rate the affiliate gives you; if you don’t see this module, no rebate has been set for you.
Bybit’s Account Info page shows the bound affiliate code, but some affiliates’ IDs aren’t displayed because of privacy settings, and Bybit says this doesn’t affect attribution.
The window for adding a code after sign-up is 30 days at Binance and MEXC and 14 days at Bybit and Pionex (only 3 days at Pionex once you’ve placed a trade).
The information below was checked against official pages on 2026-10-12 (fact-check date) and is provided for reference.
Where do you check your referral code at 13 exchanges?
| Exchange | Can you see the bound referral code? | Where to see rebate payouts | Can you add one after sign-up? | Not bound? |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Binance | Binance doesn’t describe a place for invitees to check | Converted to USDC every hour, paid to the spot account within 6 hours | Within 30 days of sign-up, with no deposits or trades, you can add it yourself | Binance switching guide |
| OKX | Yes: “My Rewards” shows the rebate rate; the European Economic Area (EEA) documentation says the “Invite perks” page shows the invite code | Activity Center → “My Rewards”; EEA version: funding history | Can’t be added; the EEA documentation describes a switch request | OKX switching guide |
| Bybit | Yes: the affiliate code field on the Account Info page (some IDs are hidden by privacy settings) | No automatic exchange rebate that applies to this site | An affiliate’s code can be added within 14 days of sign-up | Bybit switching guide |
| Bitget | No official place to check | Not stated officially | No official process for adding one found | Bitget switching guide |
| Gate | No official place to check | Wallet → Transaction History → filter for “Referral Rebate Income” | No official process for adding one found | Gate switching guide |
| MEXC | Yes: My Invites → “My Referrer” | Paid before 01:00 (UTC) the next day; MEXC doesn’t name the record | Self-service binding within 30 days of sign-up | MEXC switching guide |
| BingX | “My Referrer” is where you add a code; BingX doesn’t state whether it shows the referrer after binding | Not stated officially | Possible before your first deposit (including buying crypto) and before you’ve invited anyone | BingX switching guide |
| KuCoin | No official place to check | KuCoin only says it’s paid automatically, not where to see it | You can submit a “Link Referrer” request, which KuCoin reviews; conditions not stated | KuCoin switching guide |
| HTX | No official place to check | Not stated officially | No official channel for adding one found | HTX switching guide |
| XT.COM | No official place to check | Spot account → Fund records → Distribution (Futures/Spot Cashback), T+1 | Only at sign-up | XT.COM switching guide |
| WEEX | No official place to check | Not stated officially | The referral can’t be changed once sign-up is complete | WEEX switching guide |
| Pionex | Yes: profile picture → Referral Code (app) / Dashboard (web) | USDT History on the main account | Within 14 days of sign-up (3 days if you’ve placed a trade) | Pionex switching guide |
| Ourbit | Yes: “My Referrer” on the referral page | “Self-Rebate Records” on the referral page | Accounts without a referrer can add one | Ourbit switching guide |
The table is based on each exchange’s official documentation; the source links are in each exchange’s section below. “No official place to check” means the help center has no page where invitees can see their referrer. It doesn’t mean the interface definitely lacks one, so go by what your own account shows.
How do you know whether you have a referral code bound?
An account can be in one of three referral states, and each is handled differently:
- Bound, with rebates: rebates arrive in your account after you trade. Nothing to do.
- Bound, but the rebate is 0%: the referral exists, but the referrer isn’t sharing any rebate with you. OKX states that “0% still means you’re bound,” and Pionex also states that 0% means the referrer hasn’t allocated a rebate. In this case the account already has a referrer, so you can’t add a code; all you can do is check the switching rules.
- Not bound: if you’re still within the deadline, add a code. If the deadline has passed, check the rules for switching or opening another account.
This is the order I’d suggest for checking:
- Start with the official place to check, if there is one (OKX, Bybit, MEXC, Pionex and Ourbit have one).
- On exchanges without one, make a small trade, wait until the rebate payout time has passed, and look for the rebate in your funding records.
- If you’re still not sure, give your UID to the exchange’s support team and ask them to check. Give only your UID, never your password, a verification code or an API key.
- If you signed up through a rebate site, bind your UID on the rebate site. If it’s approved, your account is under that site’s referral code.
Step 2 should be done before your deadline for adding a code. Binance lets you add a code only if you haven’t deposited or traded, and BingX only if you haven’t deposited, so trading first and checking afterward may cost you the chance to add one. For these two, the safer approach is to go straight to the page for adding a code while you’re still within the deadline: if it works, you’re done; if it’s refused, compare your account against the official conditions to see whether you already have a referrer or some other condition isn’t met.
How to check rebate records: XT.COM as an example
Rebates are calculated on the fees you pay, so you can work out how much you should receive first and then compare it with your records:
Expected rebate = trade value × fee rate × rebate rate
XT.COM’s VIP 0 futures taker fee is 0.06% (XT.COM VIP fee announcement). Opening a 10,000 USDT position at market costs 10,000 × 0.06% = 6 USDT in fees; closing the 10,000 USDT position at market costs another 6 USDT, for 12 USDT round trip. According to XT, an invitee’s rebate reaches the spot account the day after the trade (T+1) and appears under “Spot account → Fund records → Distribution” as “Futures Cashback” (“Spot Cashback” for spot) (XT.COM invitation rebate guide). The amount you see the next day should be close to 12 USDT times your rebate rate.
If you sign up with this site’s XT.COM referral code, the automatic exchange rebate on futures is Futures 60%, Spot 35%. The table below shows fees and rebates at different trade sizes, which you can compare against your fund records:
| Monthly volume | Fees (0.06%) | Auto rebate (60%) | Net fees |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1,000 USDT | 0.6 USDT | 0.36 USDT | 0.24 USDT |
| 10,000 USDT | 6 USDT | 3.6 USDT | 2.4 USDT |
| 100,000 USDT | 60 USDT | 36 USDT | 24 USDT |
Example at a futures fee rate of 0.06% and the current 60% automatic rebate (rate updated 2026-10-24). Your exchange statement prevails.
If the numbers don’t match, first check whether any trades were excluded. XT’s risk control rules state that an order opened and closed within 60 seconds has its rebate cancelled (XT.COM partner risk control rules). Futures also use leverage, and a price move against you can get the position liquidated, so keep test trades as small as possible. Other exchanges’ exclusion rules are covered in can rebates be cancelled?
Where do you check your Binance referral code?
Binance’s referral feature is under “Profile → Referral → Referral Pro” on the website, and under “Referral” → Referral Pro on the app’s home screen (Binance Referral Pro guide). The Referral Pro FAQ doesn’t say where invitees can see their own referrer; it only states that invitees receive a rebate when the referrer chooses to share (Binance Referral Pro FAQ).
On Binance, the way to confirm is to watch for rebate payouts. Since 2025-02-13, both referrers’ commission and invitees’ shared rebates are paid in USDC by default, converted every hour and credited to the spot account within 6 hours (Binance USDC payout announcement). Binance’s example: trades made between 14:00 and 15:00 are credited by 21:00 the same day at the latest. Binance’s API documentation calls the invitee’s payment a “referral kickback,” separate from the referrer’s “commission rebate” (Binance rebate history API documentation). For rebate records older than 7 days, the FAQ suggests downloading a statement.
If you’re bound but your futures rebate suddenly stops, the same FAQ explains that a referrer’s futures commission lasts 1 year; when it ends, the invitee stops receiving futures rebates too, unless the referrer’s futures commission rate is 30% or higher.
If you’re not bound: a main account registered within the last 30 days, with no deposits or trades and no current referral, whose identity details haven’t been used on another account in the past 180 days, can add a code itself on the Binance referral binding page. An old account registered more than 90 days ago that has never had a referrer and hasn’t traded or used any products on Binance in the past 90 days can ask an affiliate for a recall link, log in and click “Bind Now” (Binance Affiliate Recall Program FAQ, checked 2026-10-15). Once a referral is established, it can’t be changed or removed. If you don’t meet these conditions, see how to switch your Binance referral code.
How do you check your OKX referral code?
OKX has two official FAQs, and they describe this differently. The global affiliate FAQ says: app menu → User Center → “My Rewards” shows the rebate rate the affiliate gives you, from 0% to 20%; if you don’t see this module, no rebate rate has been set for you. Rebate details are under menu → Activity Center → “My Rewards” (OKX affiliate FAQ, updated 2026-09-15).
The European Economic Area (EEA) FAQ goes into more detail: under “User Center → Account information → Invite perks,” the page shows your invite code and rebate rate. If you can see “Invite perks,” your account has an invite code bound; a 0% rate still counts as bound, it just means that channel has no rebate set. Rebates are paid back trade by trade, so you’ll see a series of small credits under “Assets → Order center → Funding history” (OKX affiliate FAQ (EEA), updated 2026-10-01). Which version you have depends on what you see after logging in.
If you’re not bound: both FAQs state that a referral code can only be entered before sign-up is complete and can’t be added later. OKX also warns against deleting your account or opening another one to change referral codes (OKX referral program FAQ). The EEA FAQ additionally describes a switch request: the new affiliate needs the “Win Back Invitation” feature in its back office, review usually takes up to 24 hours, and requests must be at least 30 days apart. The global version says channel attribution can’t be changed once assigned. The actual steps and the differences between the two versions are covered in how to switch your OKX referral code.
How do you see the affiliate code bound to your Bybit account?
Bybit has a dedicated help article for this: on the website, hover over “Profile” → “Account,” then on the “Account Info” page click the affiliate code field to see the affiliate code bound to your account. Some affiliates’ IDs aren’t displayed on this page because of their privacy settings. Bybit suggests recalling where you got the affiliate code (for example YouTube, social media or a referral page), and states that this doesn’t affect your attribution to the affiliate’s community (Bybit guide to adding and checking an affiliate code, updated 2026-06-05).
Bybit has no automatic exchange rebate that applies to this site, so you can’t use “am I receiving an exchange rebate?” as the test. If you signed up through Fee Otter, bind your UID on Fee Otter; if it’s approved, your account is under Fee Otter’s affiliate code, and you’ll see your rebates in your Fee Otter account from then on. This extra rebate is paid by Fee Otter, not the exchange, and not Kevin Wu. For details, see Bybit fee rebate: Fee Otter.
If you’re not bound: a main account registered within the last 14 days that has no affiliate or referral code yet can click “Join an Affiliate’s Community” on the “Account Info” page, enter the affiliate’s code and a reason, and submit. Only affiliate codes are accepted, not regular users’ referral codes; requests after 14 days aren’t accepted, and once you join, it can’t be cancelled or changed. If you don’t see this option, your account doesn’t qualify. For other options, see how to switch your Bybit referral code.
Can you check your Bitget referral code?
Bitget’s help center has no page where invitees can see their own referrer. The affiliate FAQ and the referral program announcement only cover the referrer’s commission, for example that commission starts being paid at 10:00 (UTC+8) the day after the trade (T+1); they don’t say where an invitee’s rebate appears (Bitget referral program announcement).
You have two ways to confirm. If the referral code itself comes with an automatic exchange rebate, check your asset records after trading to see whether a rebate arrived; if you’re bound to a rebate site, bind your UID on that site. You can find your UID in the personal center after logging in to Bitget.
If you’re not bound: Bitget’s announcement states that “inviting users who are already registered” isn’t recognized, and no official process for adding a code after sign-up can be found. For options such as deleting your account and signing up again after 30 days, and the risks, see how to switch your Bitget referral code.
How do you confirm your Gate referral rebate?
Gate doesn’t say where invitees can see their referrer, but it’s clear about rebate records. Its 2023 referral program announcement states that after an invitee’s trade completes, the rebate goes to the spot account automatically, usually right away and within 1 to 2 hours in special cases. The path is Wallet → Transaction History → Filter → Commission → Referral Rebate Income (Gate referral program upgrade announcement).
Because Gate says rebates usually arrive right away, you can filter your records shortly after your first trade. If you see “Referral Rebate Income,” the referral is in place; if nothing shows up after 2 hours, give your UID to support and ask them to check.
If you’re not bound: Gate’s referral rules state that each user can sign up through only one referral method (Gate referral rules), and no official process for adding a code can be found. Ask support before opening an account with a new email address; see how to switch your Gate referral code.
Where do you see your MEXC referrer?
MEXC states that once you’ve bound a referrer, you can see their information under “My Invites → My Referrer” (MEXC self-service referrer linking guide). If this page has no referrer information, you aren’t bound yet.
As for timing, MEXC’s commission-sharing announcement says the invitee’s share is paid before 01:00 (UTC) the next day, which is before 9 a.m. the next day in Taiwan time (MEXC commission-sharing announcement). The announcement doesn’t say which record the payment shows up in; you can look in your asset funding records the next day.
If you’re not bound: a main account registered within the last 30 days can enter the referrer’s invite code or UID on the self-service binding page in the help center and confirm the binding. The referrer must have registered before you, and the binding can’t be changed afterward. If the page says your account doesn’t support self-service binding, contact support. See how to switch your MEXC referral code.
Where is “My Referrer” on BingX?
BingX’s registration FAQ gives the location: in the app, tap your profile picture on the home screen, then the small arrow to the right of it to open “Personal Info Settings,” and choose “My Referrer”; on the website, click your profile picture and find “My Referrer” on the “Account & Security” page (BingX registration FAQ). BingX describes this as the place to add a referral code; the FAQ doesn’t say whether it shows your referrer after binding. Go by what your own screen shows.
BingX doesn’t name the record for rebate payouts either, so all you can do is look for rebate credits in your asset records after trading.
If you’re not bound: if you haven’t deposited yet (including transfers from other platforms and using the buy crypto feature) and haven’t invited anyone, you can add a code under “My Referrer”; once you’ve deposited or invited someone, you can’t. After binding, it can’t be changed or removed. For BingX’s official “identity transfer” option, see BingX KYC transfer guide.
How do you confirm your KuCoin referral code went through?
KuCoin’s referral page states that once an invitee signs up with a referral link or code, they’re linked to the referrer; the referrer can set a dedicated cashback rate for the invitee (no higher than the referrer’s current commission rate), and cashback is paid automatically (KuCoin referral program). KuCoin doesn’t say where invitees can see their referrer or which record shows the cashback.
So on KuCoin, the moment you can confirm is at sign-up: check that the referral code field contains the code you want before you submit. After sign-up, look for cashback credits in your asset records, or give your UID to support and ask them to check.
If you’re not bound: you can submit a “Link Referrer” request in the Self-Service section of the Help Center, and if you already have a referrer, you can request “Unlink Referrer”; KuCoin reviews both and doesn’t state a deadline, conditions or review time (checked 2026-10-22). If an old account has never completed identity verification, you may still have an option; see how to switch your KuCoin referral code.
How do you check your HTX invite code?
HTX’s invitation rules give a path: in the app, “Invite Rewards → My Invites”; on the website, your profile picture at the top right → “My Invites” (HTX invite-to-trade reward rules). This shows the rewards you earn from inviting others, not your own inviter. HTX doesn’t say where invitees can see their inviter.
The same rules state that no trading rewards are paid once an invited user reaches Prime 9 or above, and invited users’ Prime level is capped at Prime 8 by default. Since you can’t look up your inviter afterward, checking that the invite code field holds the code you want before you submit is the most important step on HTX.
If you’re not bound: no official channel for adding an inviter or changing it can be found, so the only option is opening a new account. For the conditions and risks, see how to switch your HTX referral code.
Where do you see XT.COM rebates?
XT.COM doesn’t describe a page where invitees can see their referrer, but it’s very specific about rebate records. Rebates are credited to the spot account the day after the trade (T+1), under “Spot account → Fund records → Distribution.” The invitee’s entry is called “Futures Cashback” or “Spot Cashback,” which XT explains as the fees you save on spot and futures trading after accepting a friend’s invitation. The other type, “Futures/Spot Commission,” is the commission you earn from inviting others (XT.COM invitation rebate guide). For how to reconcile the amounts, see the calculation above.
The same guide lists common reasons a referral didn’t bind: the invite code was entered wrong at sign-up, or before opening the invitation link you had already downloaded an app tied to another channel through an ad or other source, and then signed up in that app. Issues with signing up in the app are covered in will a referral code bind if you sign up in the app?
If you’re not bound: a referral code can only be entered at sign-up, and no official process for adding or changing one can be found. For the conditions for opening a new account, see how to switch your XT.COM referral code.
Can you check your WEEX referral code?
WEEX doesn’t say where invitees can see their referrer. Its partner FAQ covers the referrer’s side: if an invitee’s information doesn’t appear in the referrer’s management system, first check whether they signed up through the link the referrer shared and whether the UID is correct (WEEX partner FAQ). So the way to confirm is to give your UID to the referrer or rebate site to check, or to see whether rebates arrive in your account after you trade.
If you’re not bound: WEEX’s registration guide states that the invite code is optional at sign-up and the referral can’t be changed once sign-up is complete (WEEX registration guide). The only option is opening a new account with a phone number or email address that has never been registered; see how to switch your WEEX referral code.
Where do you see your Pionex referral code?
Pionex shows the bound referral code directly. In the app, log in and tap “Pionex” → your profile picture → “Referral Code”; on the website, it’s the referral code field under your profile picture → “Dashboard” (Pionex guide to adding a referral code). The same place is also where you add a code.
Pionex’s referral benefit is a fee discount: you pay the full fee when you trade, and the discount is refunded in USDT to your main account afterward, with details in the main account’s USDT History. If the discount shows 0%, the referrer hasn’t allocated a rebate to invitees; this rate is set when the referrer creates the referral code and can’t be changed later.
If you’re not bound: you can add a code within 14 days of sign-up; if you’ve already placed a trade since signing up, only within 3 days of sign-up. In the app, enter it under “Referral Code” and confirm; on the website, click “Set” on the Dashboard and enter it. Once bound, it can’t be changed, removed or transferred under any circumstances. See how to switch your Pionex referral code.
Where do you see your Ourbit referrer and self-rebates?
After you log in, Ourbit’s referral page shows “My Account,” “My UID” and “My Referrer.” Below that, “Self-Rebate Records” lists every futures and spot (non-margin) trade you made as an invitee, along with the self-rebate time, rate and amount. Under the referral page rules, spot rebates are paid around 08:00 the next day and futures rebates around 09:00 the next day (UTC+8), and actual timing may be delayed (Ourbit referral page).
Since 2024-09-03, all Ourbit spot trading pairs have had 0 fees, while futures remain at 0.02% maker and 0.04% taker (Ourbit zero spot fee announcement). With no spot fees there’s no spot rebate, so if you only trade spot, an empty Self-Rebate Records list is normal.
If you’re not bound: the referral page has a “Bind Referrer” window where accounts without a referrer can enter the referrer’s invite code. The window states that users who are already bound can’t change the binding, and the invite code can’t be modified once bound. See how to switch your Ourbit referral code.
Forgot to enter a referral code? How the deadline for adding one works
Six exchanges officially allow you to add a code after sign-up: Binance, MEXC, Bybit, Pionex, BingX and Ourbit. Using an account registered on 2026-10-01 as an example:
| Exchange | Official deadline | Approximate last day for a 10-01 sign-up | Other conditions |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bybit | Within 14 days of sign-up | 10-15 | Only an affiliate’s code can be added |
| Pionex | Within 14 days of sign-up; 3 days if you’ve placed a trade | 10-15; 10-04 if you’ve traded | Can’t be changed once bound |
| Binance | Within 30 days of sign-up | 10-31 | No deposits or trades yet |
| MEXC | Within 30 days of sign-up | 10-31 | The referrer must have registered before you |
| BingX | No limit in days | Before your first deposit | You haven’t invited anyone yet |
| Ourbit | No deadline stated officially | As long as the “Bind Referrer” button is still there | No referrer yet |
I worked out these dates by adding the number of days to the sign-up date. None of the exchanges states whether the sign-up day counts, so it’s best to act a day or two early. Pionex’s 3-day limit is the easiest to miss: place a trade right after signing up, and your window shrinks from 14 days to 3. The full rules are in can you add a referral code after sign-up?, and what to do once the deadline has passed is in the guide to switching referral codes.
FAQ
How do I know whether I have a referral code bound?
First check whether the exchange has an official place to check; if not, see whether rebates arrive after you trade. On OKX, Bybit, MEXC, Pionex and Ourbit you can see the bound referral code, referrer or rebate rate in your account; on other exchanges, judge by rebate credits in your funding records, or give your UID to support and ask them to check.
Where do I check my Binance referral code?
Binance doesn’t describe a page where invitees can see their referrer, so the most practical method is to see whether USDC rebates arrive in your spot account. Shared rebates are converted to USDC every hour and credited within 6 hours. The referral feature itself is under “Profile → Referral → Referral Pro” on the website, and under “Referral” on the app’s home screen.
Does a 0% rebate rate on OKX mean I’m not bound?
No. 0% means you’re bound, but that channel has no rebate set. OKX’s EEA FAQ states that OKX can’t change the rate on the affiliate’s behalf or pay rebates retroactively; you need to ask the affiliate to set a rebate on your invite code. The global FAQ says that if you don’t see the rebate module on the “My Rewards” page, no rebate rate has been set for you.
I can’t see an affiliate ID on Bybit’s Account Info page. Does that mean I’m not bound?
Not necessarily. Bybit states that some affiliates’ IDs aren’t shown on the Account Info page because of privacy settings, and this doesn’t affect your attribution. If you signed up through a rebate site, bind your UID there; approval confirms it.
Where do I check my Bitget referral code?
Bitget’s help center has no page where invitees can see their referrer. You can confirm by checking whether rebates arrive in your account after you trade, or by binding your UID on a rebate site. Bitget also states that inviting users who are already registered isn’t recognized.
I didn’t enter a referral code. Can I still add one?
Binance, MEXC, Bybit, Pionex, BingX and Ourbit allow it if you meet their conditions. For the other 7, the exchange either states that you can’t, or no process for adding one can be found. The shortest window is Pionex’s 3 days once you’ve placed a trade, followed by the 14 days at Bybit and Pionex; Binance and MEXC allow 30 days, and BingX allows it until your first deposit.
After I add a code, will I get rebates on fees I paid before?
None of the exchanges states officially whether trades made before you added the code get rebates retroactively, so go by the rebate records in your account. If you’re going to add a code, doing it before your first trade is the safest.
I have a referral code bound. Why am I not getting rebates?
The most common reasons are that the referrer isn’t sharing a rebate with you (a 0% rate) or that the trades themselves are excluded. For example, XT.COM doesn’t pay rebates on orders opened and closed within 60 seconds, and Binance futures rebates stop when the referrer’s 1-year period ends. The full checklist is in used a referral code but didn’t get a rebate?
Do I need to give a password or API key to check my binding?
No. Exchange support teams and rebate sites only need your UID to check a binding. If anyone asks for your password, a verification code or an API key, don’t give it to them; common tactics are covered in how to spot a rebate scam.
If you haven’t signed up yet, the easiest approach is to enter a referral code at sign-up. You can compare each exchange’s referral code and automatic fee rebate rate in the exchange referral code overview, and rebate terms are explained in the rebate glossary. Among Taiwan’s New Taiwan dollar (TWD) exchanges, MAX and BitoPro have referral codes too.
