Updated Rules checked 2026-10-21
As checked on 2026-10-21, on-chain ETH staking rates at exchanges mostly sit between 1.9% and 2.9% a year, and SOL rates, excluding bonuses, mostly between 4% and 5%. Binance ETH Staking shows a reference APR of 2.24% and SOL Staking 4.52%; OKX shows 1.90% for ETH and 4.71% for SOL. Much higher figures, such as the 6% to 8% shown by WEEX and BingX, are mostly flexible-savings tier subsidies paid only on the first 0.1 to 0.2 ETH. They are not the yield of on-chain staking itself.
I put the ETH and SOL products of the 13 exchanges this site covers into two tables, with the official annual rate, the receipt token you get, how many days redemption takes, and the commission each exchange states officially. I also calculate the blended annual rate of the tiered products for 1 ETH and 10 ETH, and roughly how much 1 ETH earns in a year.
Staking pays you back in coins, not a guaranteed amount of fiat money. When the coin price falls, an annual rate of around 2% will not cover the drop. The comparison tables come first, followed by commissions, redemption and risks.
Key points: On 2026-10-21, Binance ETH Staking (WBETH) showed a reference APR of 2.24%; Binance officially charges a 7.5% commission on rewards, and redemptions arrive in about 12 days. Binance SOL Staking (BNSOL) showed a reference APR of 4.52%, already net of a 10% commission, with 4-day redemption. OKX ETH Staking (BETH) yields 1.90% a year, and the official FAQ states that this already includes a 5% service fee. Bybit’s On-Chain Earn offers two ETH options, stETH (2.15%) and mETH (1.9%), with redemption processing times of 8 days and 11 days. Gate’s ETH staking shows 3.98%, of which 1.50% is a bonus paid in GT that only applies to the first 1 ETH and runs until the end of 2026.
The data below was verified against official pages on 2026-10-21 (data check date) and is provided for your reference.
Which exchange has the highest ETH staking rate? 13 exchanges compared
The “Type” column has two main values. “On-chain staking” means the exchange uses your ETH to run validator nodes, so the yield follows the Ethereum network. “Flexible savings” is the exchange’s ordinary earn product: the platform sets the rate itself, often in tiers. All rates float; the table is a snapshot from 2026-10-21.

Binance also offers ETH in Simple Earn Flexible (1.18% market rate, plus another 0.10% on the first 0.2 ETH) and Locked (7 days 1.30%, 90 days 1.70%), and Bybit has a 0.8% ETH flexible product. These products issue no receipt token and follow different rules from the table above, so they are left out of the main table. HTX’s Earn home page labels ETH 2.0 as “4.00%–15.00%”, but the ETH 2.0 product page shows a current max APY of 2.11%. HTX does not explain the difference; the table uses the product page figure.
Which exchange has the highest SOL staking rate?
Solana settles rewards once per epoch (roughly 2 to 3 days), so SOL staking rates also update about every 2 to 3 days. The table below is again split into on-chain staking and flexible savings, snapshot 2026-10-21.
| Exchange | Product | Type | Official annual rate | Receipt token | Redemption time | Commission | Source |

Binance also has SOL Locked products (7 days 3.00%, 90 days 4.00%), and KuCoin has a 90-day SOL fixed-term product at 4.50%. Both are Simple Earn products that issue no receipt token, so they are not in the main table.
Staking vs flexible savings: how much does an “8%” product actually pay?
On-chain staking yields come from the blockchain itself, so the figures across exchanges sit close together: about 2% for ETH and about 4% to 5% for SOL. Flexible savings rates are set by the exchange, which often pays the top rate only on a small first slice of your balance. Calculating the blended annual rate from the officially published tiers (each tier’s amount times that tier’s rate, summed and divided by the principal) gives these results:
| Product | Highest advertised | 1 ETH blended | 10 ETH blended |
|---|---|---|---|
| WEEX ETH Flexible | 8.00% | 3.20% | 2.12% |
| MEXC ETH Flexible | 7.0% | 1.55% | About 1.06% |
| BingX ETH Flexible | 6.00% | 0.87% | About 0.36% |
| Ourbit ETH Simple Earn | 4.8% | 0.93% | About 0.54% |
| Gate ETH staking (including GT bonus) | 3.98% | 3.98% | About 2.86% |
Calculation: this site’s own figures from the official tiers on 2026-10-21, assuming the rates stay the same for a year.
Take 1 ETH in WEEX: the first 0.2 ETH × 8% = 0.016 ETH, and the remaining 0.8 ETH × 2% = 0.016 ETH, for 0.032 ETH in total, or 3.20%. At 10 ETH the blended rate drops to 2.12%, about the same as on-chain staking at Binance or OKX. With 1 ETH, BingX and Ourbit come in under 1% blended, lower than on-chain staking without tiers.
SOL works the same way. With 10 SOL, the blended rate is about 5.20% for WEEX flexible, about 3.90% for MEXC, about 4.88% for Gate (including the GT bonus) and about 0.57% for BingX. With 100 SOL, it is about 4.12% for WEEX, about 4.01% for Gate and about 3.09% for MEXC. The larger the amount, the closer you get to the last tier’s rate, so when comparing, look at the last tier first and the advertised maximum second.
How much commission do exchanges take on staking?
Only a few exchanges state their cut on a public page. These are the official statements I found:
- Binance ETH Staking: the FAQ states a 7.5% commission on staking rewards, which are distributed T+1 after they are generated on-chain. The page does not say whether 2.24% is before or after the fee. If it is after the fee, the pre-fee rate works out to about 2.42% (2.24% ÷ 92.5%, this site’s estimate).
- Binance SOL Staking: the FAQ states a 10% commission on the validator APR, and the APR shown is already net of it; the pre-fee rate works out to about 5.02% (4.52% ÷ 90%, this site’s estimate).
- OKX ETH Staking: the FAQ states a 5% service fee (gas fees included), and the listed annual rate already accounts for it; the pre-fee rate works out to about 2.00%.
- Bitget On-chain Earn: standard redemption is free. If you choose fast redemption (arrives in about 10 minutes), Bitget deducts 10% of your earnings as a service fee.
- Bybit, Gate, KuCoin, HTX and the others: their public pages do not state a commission rate, so the tables mark them “Not stated officially”.
So when comparing, look past the annual rate and check whether the fee has already been taken out. Where the exchange states it is already deducted (OKX ETH, Binance SOL), the figure is the reference value you will actually receive.
How much does 1 ETH earn from staking in a year? (estimate)
Assuming the 2026-10-21 annual rates hold for a full year, 1 ETH earns the rewards below. Real rates change every day, so this table is only for comparing levels across exchanges:
| Exchange and product | Rate used | One-year reward (ETH) | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Gate ETH staking (including GT bonus) | 3.98% | About 0.0398 | The 1.50% bonus is paid in GT and runs until the end of 2026 |
| WEEX ETH Flexible | Blended 3.20% | 0.0320 | Tiered; the larger the amount, the lower the rate |
| Binance WBETH | 2.24% | About 0.0224 | Accrues through the exchange rate; roughly equal to daily compounding, about 2.27% |
| Bybit stETH | 2.15% | About 0.0215 | 8-day redemption |
| HTX ETH 2.0 | 2.11% | About 0.0211 | Minimum 0.1 ETH |
| KuCoin ksETH | 2.04% | About 0.0204 | 5-day redemption |
| OKX BETH | 1.90% | About 0.0190 | Includes the 5% service fee |
| MEXC ETH Flexible | Blended 1.55% | About 0.0155 | Tiered |
Calculation: this site’s own figures from the official annual rates on 2026-10-21, excluding compounding and rate changes.
Gate’s figure deserves a second look. According to the official interface, the GT bonus ends at 2026-12-31 00:00 (UTC+8), which leaves only about 71 days from 2026-10-21. If the base rate of 2.48% stays the same, the real annual rate for 1 ETH held a full year is about 2.48% + 1.50% × 71 ÷ 365 ≈ 2.77%, not 3.98%. The bonus is also paid in GT, whose price moves up and down too. SOL works the same way: the 2.50% GT bonus only covers the first 1 SOL, and over a full year the rate comes to about 3.73% + 2.50% × 71 ÷ 365 ≈ 4.22%.
The other thing people often overlook is the coin price. Staking rewards are counted in ETH. Say you earn 0.0224 ETH in a year, but ETH falls 10% over the same period: the value in USD becomes 1.0224 × 0.9 ≈ 0.92, a loss of about 8%. Staking increases the number of coins you hold; it cannot protect their price.
APR vs APY: what is the difference?
APR is an annual rate without compounding, while APY already includes compounding, so for the same level of earnings the APY figure is higher. In the tables, Binance, Bybit, KuCoin, Bitget and Gate show APR, and HTX shows APY. OKX’s API field says APY, but its ETH Staking FAQ says APR.
Take Binance BNSOL: 4.52% is an APR, and rewards are reflected in the BNSOL exchange rate every epoch (about 2 to 3 days), which amounts to automatic compounding. With about 146 epochs a year and an unchanged APR, that converts to an APY of about 4.62%. WBETH updates its exchange rate daily, so a 2.24% APR converts to an APY of about 2.27%. The gap is small, but when you compare HTX’s APY with other exchanges’ APR, keep in mind they are not the same kind of number.
How long does it take to redeem staked ETH and SOL?
Leaving ETH staking means waiting in a queue on the Ethereum network, and the amount that can exit each day is capped, so exchange redemption times shift with it. The rules each exchange stated on 2026-10-21:
- ETH: Binance takes about 12 days, and its FAQ states the waiting period may be adjusted without notice, though requests already submitted are not affected. Bybit stETH takes 8 days and mETH 11 days; KuCoin 5 days. OKX and HTX only say it depends on network conditions, with no fixed number of days. Bitget’s standard redemption follows on-chain node timing, while fast redemption takes about 10 minutes but deducts 10% of earnings.
- SOL: Bybit and Gate take 3 days, Binance and Bitget 4 days, KuCoin 5 days, and an OKX Learn article says 5 days.
- Fast redemption has limits: since 2026-04-27, OKX allows regular users 5 BETH and 50 OKSOL per day, VIP1 50 BETH and 500 OKSOL, and VIP3 and above 100 BETH and 1,000 OKSOL. Anything above that goes through standard redemption.
- No rewards during redemption: Binance, OKX, HTX and Bitget all state that rewards stop accruing once you submit a redemption.
If you need the money quickly, another route is to sell the receipt token directly on the spot market (for example on the WBETH/ETH, BNSOL/SOL or OKSOL/SOL pairs). The fill price will not necessarily match the exchange rate, though, and you pay trading fees.
What are WBETH and BNSOL? Why do you get fewer tokens?
These are liquid staking tokens. They represent your staked coins plus the rewards accumulated on them, and you can trade them, transfer them or use them as collateral. They come in two designs:
- Rising exchange rate: Binance WBETH and BNSOL, Bybit mETH and bbSOL, Gate GTSOL. Rewards are not paid out separately; instead, 1 token can be exchanged for more and more ETH or SOL over time. On 2026-10-21 the rates were 1 WBETH ≈ 1.1089 ETH and 1 BNSOL ≈ 1.1367 SOL, and at Bybit 1 mETH could be exchanged for about 1.1011 ETH and 1 bbSOL for about 1.1745 SOL. So getting only about 0.9 tokens for 1 staked ETH is normal; nothing has been deducted.
- 1:1 with separate rewards: OKX BETH and OKSOL, KuCoin ksETH, HTX BETH. The token maps 1:1 to the original coin, and rewards are paid separately in the token. For example, OKX pays BETH rewards to the funding account at 3:00 (UTC) every day, and HTX takes a snapshot at 16:00 (UTC) daily and pays out T+1.
Binance’s WBETH and BNSOL can be used as collateral for loans or for unified account margin. If you use them for margin or futures trading, a losing position can still be forcibly liquidated, and staking rewards will not shield you from that.
Other coins: what are ATOM and TRX staking rates?
Besides ETH and SOL, ATOM (Cosmos) and TRX (TRON) are also offered for staking by several exchanges. ATOM’s annual rate looks high mainly because it comes from the network’s inflationary token issuance, and unstaking on-chain takes 21 days, which the redemption times in the table below reflect:
| Exchange | ATOM | TRX | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| Gate | 18.90%, 21-day redemption | 3.19%, 15-day redemption | Official V4 API |
| Bybit | 13.89%, 25-day redemption processing | No TRX in On-Chain Earn | Official V5 API |
| Bitget | 8.70%–15.00% | — | Staking page |
| Binance | Locked: 7 days 7.80%, 90 days 9.10% | Flexible 2.76%; Locked: 7 days 1.88%, 90 days 1.98% | Simple Earn |
| HTX | — | Staking 3.36% APY | HTX Earn |
Source: official exchange pages and official APIs, snapshot 2026-10-21. Binance’s ATOM and TRX figures come from its Simple Earn Locked and Flexible products.
What are the risks of staking on an exchange?
Staking on an exchange is easy, but it is not the same thing as a bank deposit. Here are five things to know first:
- No protection for the coin price. You get back the original coins, such as ETH or SOL. When the price falls, rewards of 2% to 5% a year cannot offset the drop.
- Platform risk. Your coins sit on the exchange, so whether you can get them back depends on the exchange’s operations, security and reserves. For each exchange’s reserve ratios, see exchange proof of reserves compared; for records of hacks and withdrawal suspensions, see exchange safety record.
- Slashing and validator performance. Exchanges say different things. Binance’s ETH Staking page mentions “quantity protection and slashing protection”, while its SOL Staking FAQ says the Solana network currently has no protocol-level automatic slashing, but rewards may be reduced or not paid when a validator performs poorly. Bitget’s On-chain Earn FAQ says there is “no slashing risk”. Other exchanges’ public pages do not say, so it is best to assume it can happen.
- Redemption involves queues and limits. ETH exits queue on the network, Binance has a daily total redemption cap, and OKX fast redemption has a daily limit. In a sharp market drop, you may not be able to get the original coin back and sell it right away.
- Bonuses end. Gate’s GT bonus runs until the end of 2026, and the high rates at WEEX, MEXC and BingX only apply to the first small amount. When a campaign or the tiers change, the blended annual rate changes with them.
How was this data collected?
Most exchanges load their earn pages with JavaScript, so I read the public APIs that the official pages themselves call, then checked them against the figures shown on the pages and in the FAQs:
- Binance: ETH staking from
bapi/earn/v1/public/pos/cftoken/project/getPurchasableProject, SOL staking from the data the SOL Staking page loads, and flexible and locked products fromsimpleEarnProducts. Ourbit:operateactivity/staking?zone=HOLD. - What I could not find: XT could not be opened from the checking environment due to regional restrictions; the Pionex website could not be opened on the check date, and I only found an official blog post from 2022; HTX’s SOL staking redemption rules are visible only after logging in. These fields are marked “Not stated officially” or “Could not be read”, and I did not fill them with figures from other websites.
The figures on this page are updated regularly. Staking rates change every day, so before you subscribe, go by what the exchange’s page shows at that moment.
FAQ
What is the annual rate for ETH staking?
On 2026-10-21, on-chain ETH staking rates at exchanges were mostly between 1.9% and 2.9%: Binance 2.24%, Bybit stETH 2.15%, HTX 2.11%, KuCoin 2.04% and OKX 1.90%. Gate shows 3.98%, but 1.50% of that is a GT bonus available only on the first 1 ETH; the base yield is 2.48%.
Which exchange has the highest SOL staking rate?
Among on-chain SOL staking products on 2026-10-21, Gate shows the highest rate at 6.23%, but 2.50% of that is a GT bonus available only on the first 1 SOL. Without bonuses, Bitget BGSOL shows 4.91% on its campaign page, HTX 4.75%, OKX 4.71%, Bybit bbSOL 4.67% and Binance 4.52%, all less than 0.4 percentage points apart. WEEX flexible pays 8.00% on the first 3 SOL, but that is the platform’s tiered savings product, and anything above 3 SOL earns only 4.00%.
How long does Binance ETH Staking redemption take?
On 2026-10-21 the redemption waiting period for Binance ETH Staking was 12 days, counted from when you submit the request; once it arrives, the ETH goes to your Spot wallet. The official FAQ states the waiting period may be adjusted without notice, and there is also a daily total redemption cap. If you need funds urgently, you can sell WBETH for ETH on the spot market, but the price will not necessarily equal the exchange rate.
Can you lose money staking on an exchange?
In coin terms, your holdings usually do not shrink, but in fiat terms you can lose money. Staking rewards are counted in ETH or SOL, and if the price falls 10%, roughly 2% a year in ETH rewards will not cover the loss. There are also the risks of the exchange itself running into trouble or suspending withdrawals, and of validators being slashed; exchanges differ in what slashing protection they describe.
I got less WBETH than the ETH I staked. Was something deducted?
No. WBETH rewards are reflected in its exchange rate: on 2026-10-21, 1 WBETH could be exchanged for about 1.1089 ETH, so staking 1 ETH gets you only about 0.9 WBETH, with the same value. BNSOL, mETH, bbSOL and GTSOL use the same design.
Are OKX BETH and Binance WBETH the same?
No. OKX’s BETH maps 1:1 to ETH, rewards are paid separately in BETH to the funding account every day, and the annual rate already includes the 5% service fee. Binance’s WBETH pays no separate rewards; instead its exchange rate rises, and Binance officially takes a 7.5% commission on rewards. Their redemption rules also differ: Binance takes about 12 days, while OKX follows the network queue and also offers a fast redemption limit of 5 BETH per day (regular users).
Should I choose staking or flexible savings?
It depends on whether you care more about where the yield comes from or about flexibility. On-chain staking yields come from the blockchain and are more stable, but redemption takes 3 to 12 days. Flexible savings can mostly be redeemed at any time, but the high rate usually applies only to the first 0.05 to 0.2 ETH, and with 1 ETH or more the blended rate is often lower than on-chain staking. This is only a difference in how the two products work, not investment advice.
To compare stablecoin earn rates, see USDT flexible savings rates compared. For products that settle your coins into another coin, see what is dual investment, and for campaigns where you stake coins to mine new tokens, see the exchange Launchpool guide. Overviews of each exchange are in the Binance review, OKX review, Bybit review, Bitget review, Gate review, KuCoin review and HTX review. If you also trade spot or futures, that is where rebates come in: the Binance referral code KEVINWU currently carries a rebate of 20% (updated 2026-10-23), the OKX referral code is KEVINWU, and the Bitget referral code is KEVINWU; for Bybit’s rebate option, see Bybit fee rebate. All exchanges’ referral codes are collected in the crypto exchange referral codes hub.
