LBank Fees Explained: Spot, Futures, VIP and Withdrawal Fees (2026)

Updated Rules checked 2026-10-19

LBank’s fees for regular users (VIP 0) are 0.1% Maker and 0.1% Taker on major spot pairs, and 0.02% Maker and 0.06% Taker on USDT-margined perpetual futures. Spot fees are not the same on every pair: majors such as BTC/USDT and ETH/USDT are 0.1%, many pairs are 0.2%, and a few go to 1% or higher. The official fee schedule has no platform-token discount, so lowering your fees mainly comes down to Maker orders, VIP levels and promotional vouchers.

This guide puts spot, futures, VIP thresholds, funding rates and USDT withdrawal fees in one place. Every number comes with an official source, I work through the math, and at the end LBank is compared with the 13 exchanges this site has already covered.

Key points
LBank’s VIP 0 fees on USDT-margined perpetual futures are 0.02% Maker and 0.06% Taker, charged on the position’s notional value.
LBank’s spot fees depend on the trading pair: in the official trading-rules data on 2026-10-19, 630 of 1,667 spot pairs were at 0.1%, 976 at 0.2%, and another 60 at 1% or more.
LBank’s VIP level is based on three metrics: 30-day spot volume, 30-day futures volume and 30-day average daily assets. Meeting any one of them is enough, and levels update every day at 10:00 (UTC+8).
LBank charges no deposit fees. USDT withdrawal fees depend on the network: when checked on 2026-10-19, BEP20 was 0.2 USDT, ERC20 1 USDT and TRC20 1.5 USDT.
LBank’s official fee schedule has no platform-token discount column.

The data below was checked against LBank’s official pages on 2026-10-19 (fact-check date) and is provided for reference.

What’s the difference between Maker and Taker?

LBank’s perpetual futures fee guide defines them this way: an order placed at a set price that does not fill immediately against orders in the order book, and instead sits in the book waiting for someone to fill it, is a Maker order; an order that fills immediately against orders already in the book is a Taker order. The English version adds that market orders are always Taker.

The official guide’s example: with BTC at 80,000 USDT, you buy 0.2 BTC of perpetual futures with a market order. The notional value is 16,000 USDT, and you pay a Taker fee of 16,000 × 0.06% = 9.6 USDT. When the price rises to 90,000 USDT, you sell with a limit order; the notional value is 18,000 USDT, and the Maker fee is 18,000 × 0.02% = 3.6 USDT. On the same 10,000 USDT trade, Taker pays 6 USDT and Maker pays 2 USDT, a threefold difference. On LBank spot, VIP 0 Maker and Taker fees are identical, so placing a Maker order saves nothing on spot fees; its only use there is controlling your execution price.

How are LBank spot fees calculated?

Spot fee = trade value × that pair’s fee rate. LBank sets one rate per spot pair. LBank’s guide to checking trading rules lists a range of 0%–0.2% Maker and 0.1%–0.2% Taker for spot, and 0%–0.06% Maker and 0%–0.2% Taker for leveraged tokens. I sorted the 1,667 spot pairs in LBank’s web “Trading Rules” data from 2026-10-19 as follows:

Source: LBank’s web spot “Trading Rules” data and the order page’s fee lookup (2026-10-19). Pair fees may change, and LBank’s Fee Schedule page also notes that a few coins are excluded from these rates during certain periods, and that your actual trade records are what count.

This is the easiest trap on LBank spot. Buying majors such as BTC or ETH costs 0.1%, the same as VIP 0 at most large exchanges. Switch to a 0.2% small-cap coin and the same 10,000 USDT costs 20 USDT. On a 1% pair, one buy and one sell come to 200 USDT, or 2% of your principal. The official guides don’t list which coins carry high fees, so check before you order: on the spot trading page, open “Setting” → “Trading Rules” in the top-right corner and search for the pair to see its Maker and Taker fees.

  • Zero-fee pairs: when checked on 2026-10-19, no spot pair was at 0%; USDC/USDT was 0.1% too. If you want to switch quickly between USDT and other major coins, consider the Convert feature covered under “Other fees” below.
  • Which coin the fee is taken in: LBank does not state officially whether a buy is charged in USDT or in the coin you receive. You can check each fee under “Order Center > Trade History”.
  • Where VIP rates apply: LBank does not state officially whether the spot rates in the VIP table also apply to the 0.2% and 1% pairs.

How are LBank futures fees calculated?

ItemMakerTaker
VIP 0 rate (same for opening and closing)0.02%0.06%
Opening 10,000 USDT2 USDT6 USDT
Opening + closing 10,000 USDT4 USDT12 USDT

Per LBank’s perpetual futures fee guide: trading fee = notional value × fee rate, and notional value = number of contracts × execution price. Opening and closing are each charged once. USDT-margined futures settle in USDT. On 2026-10-19, LBank’s public futures API listed 842 USDT-margined perpetual contracts, with maximum leverage of 200x on BTCUSDT and ETHUSDT. Querying the same API for coin-margined futures returned an empty list.

Fees are charged on position value, not on margin. With 1,000 USDT of margin at 10x, the position value is 1,000 × 10 = 10,000 USDT. Opening as Taker costs 10,000 × 0.06% = 6 USDT, closing costs another 6 USDT, so the round trip is 12 USDT, or 1.2% of your margin. If you open and close with Maker orders, it is 10,000 × 0.02% × 2 = 4 USDT.

Open the same 1,000 USDT of margin at 20x and the position value is 20,000 USDT. A Taker round trip costs 24 USDT, 2.4% of your margin, paid before the price has moved at all. The higher the leverage and the more often you trade, the larger the share of your capital that goes to fees. If the price moves against you, a leveraged position can also be liquidated and you lose the margin on that position.

0.02%/0.06% is the VIP 0 rate for standard futures. The guide to checking trading rules lists a futures fee range of 0%–0.02% Maker and 0%–0.1% Taker, so individual contracts may differ; go by what the futures trading page shows under “Setting” → “Trading Rules”. How to open a futures position and choose a margin mode is covered in the LBank futures guide; for how futures fees are calculated across exchanges, see how futures fees are calculated.

Source: tier thresholds and fee table on the LBank VIP page (checked 2026-10-19). The rules follow LBank’s VIP levels and benefits guide (2025-12-05):

  • Any one metric is enough: the three metrics don’t stack and don’t all need to be met; you get the highest level you qualify for.
  • How they’re calculated: spot volume is the two-sided trade value of buys plus sells, excluding margin and spot borrowing trades; futures volume is the two-sided notional value of opening plus closing perpetual and delivery futures; average daily assets is the 30-day average of a daily 00:00 snapshot of all your assets on the platform (spot, futures, earn and wallet).
  • How often it updates: automatically every day at 10:00 (Beijing time, the same as Taiwan time). After a level change, the new rates take effect within a few minutes.
  • Level protection: each level comes with one 30-day protection period, triggered automatically the first time you are at risk of dropping a level. Levels reached through asset balance alone have no protection. Volume from market-maker accounts, accounts under risk control, and pure bonus funds does not count.
  • VIP 1 trial card: users currently at VIP 0 whose first single on-chain deposit or P2P trade reaches 5,000 USDT can get a 15-day VIP 1 trial card. It takes effect as soon as it’s claimed and cannot be stacked or extended.
  • Green channel: submit proof of your trading volume or assets at another exchange over the past 30 days; once approved, you move up 2 levels from the matching level, up to SVIP (LBank VIP program announcement).

VIP 1 still pays 0.06% Taker on futures; only Maker drops from 0.02% to 0.019%. If you mostly enter and exit futures with market orders, VIP 1 makes almost no difference, and the Taker rate only falls to 0.04% at VIP 2. Reaching VIP 2 through volume takes 10,000,000 USDT of futures trades in 30 days, which most retail traders will never hit.

The asset route has much lower thresholds. VIP 1 needs 10,000 USDT in 30-day average daily assets and VIP 2 needs 50,000 USDT, and assets in your futures account and in earn products both count. Take 300,000 USDT of futures volume a month, all as Taker: VIP 0 pays 300,000 × 0.06% = 180 USDT; VIP 2 pays 300,000 × 0.04% = 120 USDT, a difference of 60 USDT a month. That said, keeping large amounts on an exchange long term carries platform risk in itself, so I don’t recommend depositing more just to reach a fee level. For exchange reserves and security history, see the proof of reserves comparison and exchange security records.

Does LBank offer a platform-token fee discount?

Not that I could find. The fee calculator on the LBank VIP page says “pay fees in USDT”, and neither the VIP fee table nor the Fee Schedule page has a platform-token discount column. I also found no current rule in the LBank Support Center for paying fees with LBK at a discount. When I checked the spot trading-rules list on 2026-10-19, there was no LBK/USDT pair either.

LBank’s other way to cut fees is promotional vouchers. According to LBank’s voucher types and usage guide (2026-01-28):

  • Spot fee discount voucher: trades on the specified pair use a discounted rate. LBank’s example is BTC/USDT going from 0.1% to 0.05% with the voucher.
  • Futures fee discount voucher: LBank’s example is BTC/USDT going from 0.02%–0.06% to 0.02%–0.04% with the voucher.
  • Spot/futures fee cashback card: the fees it covers are returned to your spot wallet the next day, up to the card’s face value in total.
  • Futures bonus: can be used to cover trading fees and funding fees; the enhanced bonus can only be used as margin for opening positions and cannot cover fees.

All vouchers are handed out through promotions, have an expiry date and become void once expired, so don’t count on them as a fixed fee discount.

Funding rates are not trading fees

According to LBank’s funding rate guide, the funding fee is the perpetual futures mechanism that keeps the contract price close to the spot price, and it is paid between longs and shorts: when the rate is positive, longs pay shorts; when it’s negative, shorts pay longs. LBank charges no fee on these funding transfers. The formula is “funding fee = position notional value × funding rate”. The default interest rate is 0.01% per settlement interval, and when the gap between the premium and the interest rate is within ±0.05%, the funding rate equals 0.01%.

  • The settlement interval depends on the contract: when I checked LBank’s futures market-data API on 2026-10-19, 360 of the 842 USDT-margined contracts settled every 8 hours, 480 every 4 hours and 2 every hour. BTCUSDT settled every 8 hours, its funding rate at the time was 0.01%, and the next settlement was at 2026-10-19 16:00 UTC (10-20 00:00 Taiwan time).
  • Intervals can change: LBank has changed the settlement frequency of several contracts at once (funding rate settlement frequency announcement). The announcement says changes affecting multiple contracts are announced at least two weeks in advance, but the notice period may be shorter during extreme market volatility.
  • Where to check: on the futures trading page, pick the pair and click the funding rate and countdown at the top right; a pop-up shows that contract’s settlement interval. In the app, tap “Funding Rate/Funding Time”.

A worked example: on a 10,000 USDT long with a funding rate of +0.01%, each settlement costs 10,000 × 0.01% = 1 USDT. A contract that settles every 8 hours does so 3 times a day, for 3 USDT; hold for 4 days and you’ve paid 12 USDT, the same as the 12 USDT of a Taker round trip. A contract that settles every 4 hours does so 6 times a day, so the same rate costs 6 USDT a day. More than half of LBank’s USDT-margined contracts settle every 4 hours, so check the contract’s settlement interval before holding a position overnight. The full explanation of funding rates is in what is a funding rate.

  • Deposits: LBank’s deposit guide states that LBank charges no fee on crypto deposits. The blockchain network may charge a separate network fee, which the sender pays.
  • Withdrawals (cashing out): fees vary by coin and network. The amount you receive = withdrawal amount − withdrawal fee. Fees may be adjusted with network conditions, and the withdrawal page shows what applies (LBank on-chain withdrawal guide). On the BTC mainnet it was 0.00005 BTC on 2026-10-19.
  • Internal transfers: sending to another LBank user by UID, phone number or email is free, doesn’t go through the blockchain and arrives instantly; once confirmed, it can’t be reversed (LBank internal transfer guide).
  • Convert: LBank’s spot Convert guide says it has 0 fees, with no extra charge from the platform, and currently supports only USDT pairs. Convert does not lock the price: the rate is calculated from the live order book and the quote refreshes every 7 seconds. Before you convert, you can compare the quote with the spot order book.
  • Buy Crypto (credit card, bank transfer): the deposit guide states that these fees are charged by the bank, card issuer or payment provider, not by LBank, and the amount depends on the payment method.
  • P2P: I found no explanation of P2P trading fees in the LBank Support Center; LBank does not state them officially.

LBank’s USDT withdrawal fees rank differently from many exchanges: ERC20 is only 1 USDT, while TRC20 is the most expensive of the common networks at 1.5 USDT, and BEP20 and Plasma are the cheapest at 0.2 USDT each. The withdrawal guide also warns that the coin, address and network must match exactly, or the assets may be lost. When choosing a network, first check which one the recipient supports instead of just picking the cheapest. For USDT withdrawal fees across exchanges, see the USDT withdrawal fee comparison.

Source: LBank figures were checked for this article on 2026-10-19; the other 13 exchanges come from this site’s fee guides for each exchange (checked against official pages on 2026-10-11). All are VIP 0 rates without platform-token discounts; OKX is for standard spot pairs, and KuCoin for Class A coins.

LBank’s 0.06% futures Taker fee is on the same level as Bitget, KuCoin, HTX and XT, a little higher than the 0.05% at Binance, OKX, Gate, BingX and Pionex, and lower than WEEX’s 0.08%; MEXC and Ourbit are lower still. A 0.1% spot fee on majors is the market norm, but LBank has no platform-token discount, and the 0.2% to 1% rates on small-cap pairs push costs up noticeably. Judged on VIP 0 alone, LBank is not a low-fee exchange. For how VIP 0 fees rank across exchanges, see exchanges with the lowest fees.

How do you check your own fee level?

  • Web: on the homepage, click “Overview” → “Fee Schedule” to open the Fee Schedule page, which has two tabs, trading and deposit/withdrawal; your VIP progress is on the VIP page (guide to checking trading rules).
  • App: on the home screen, tap your avatar → “VIP Zone” to see your current level, upgrade progress and remaining protection days (VIP levels and benefits guide).
  • Fee for a single pair: on the spot or futures trading page, open “Setting” → “Trading Rules” in the top-right corner and search for the pair.
  • What you were actually charged: for futures on the web, click “Transaction History” on the futures page; in the app, tap “Transaction History” to the right of your futures positions → “Filled” to see the fee on each trade (perpetual futures fee guide). For spot, go to “Order Center > Trade History”.

5 ways to save on LBank fees

Ranked by how much a typical retail trader (mostly futures, 300,000 USDT of volume a month, occasional spot) can save:

  1. Use Maker orders on futures whenever you can: switching from 0.06% Taker to 0.02% Maker cuts the fee on 300,000 USDT a month from 180 USDT to 60 USDT, saving 120 USDT, the most of any method here. The trade-off is that Maker orders don’t always fill, and when you need to get in or out fast you still have to take. VIP 0 spot Maker and Taker fees are the same, so this only helps on futures.
  2. Check the pair’s fee before trading spot: on the same 10,000 USDT buy, a 0.1% pair costs 10 USDT and a 1% pair costs 100 USDT. Take a quick look at the fee under “Trading Rules” before you order; if you often trade small-cap coins, this step may save you more than any other method.
  3. Weigh the VIP 2 asset threshold: upgrading through volume is hard, but 50,000 USDT in 30-day average daily assets gets you VIP 2, which cuts futures Taker to 0.04% and saves 60 USDT a month on 300,000 USDT. VIP 1 leaves the futures Taker rate unchanged and only lowers spot to 0.08%. Keeping assets on an exchange carries platform risk, so there’s no need to deposit funds just for a level.
  4. Pick the right withdrawal network and use internal transfers: withdrawing USDT over BEP20 costs 0.2 USDT, over TRC20 1.5 USDT (checked 2026-10-19), provided the recipient supports it; sending to other LBank users by internal transfer is free.
  5. Watch the funding settlement interval: funding isn’t a trading fee, but it is a cost of holding a position. 480 of LBank’s USDT-margined contracts settle every 4 hours, so at the same 0.01% rate you pay twice as many times a day as on an 8-hour contract.

FAQ

What are LBank’s fees?

For regular users (VIP 0), LBank charges 0.02% Maker and 0.06% Taker on USDT-margined perpetual futures, and 0.1% Maker and 0.1% Taker on major spot pairs. Spot fees depend on the pair: on 2026-10-19, 976 pairs were at 0.2% and 60 at 1% or more. At the top SVIP level, spot is 0%/0.03% and futures 0%/0.02%.

How are LBank futures fees calculated?

LBank futures fee = notional value × fee rate, where notional value is the number of contracts times the execution price, regardless of leverage. With 1,000 USDT of margin at 10x, the position value is 10,000 USDT: Taker costs 6 USDT to open and 6 USDT to close, 12 USDT in total. If you hold through a funding settlement time, the funding fee is added on top.

Why is my LBank spot fee higher than 0.1%?

LBank sets one fee rate per spot pair, and 0.1% applies to 630 pairs such as BTC/USDT and ETH/USDT. In the official trading-rules data on 2026-10-19, 976 pairs were at 0.2%, 48 at 1%, and another 12 above 1%. Before ordering, you can look up the pair’s fee under “Setting” → “Trading Rules” on the spot trading page.

How much does it cost to withdraw from LBank?

LBank withdrawal fees depend on the coin and network, and deposits are free. When checked on 2026-10-19, USDT cost 0.2 USDT over BEP20, 0.5 USDT over Arbitrum One and Solana, 1 USDT over ERC20 and 1.5 USDT over TRC20; the BTC mainnet fee was 0.00005 BTC. Internal transfers to other LBank users are free.

Does LBank offer a platform-token fee discount?

LBank’s official fee schedule has no platform-token discount column, and the VIP page’s calculator says fees are paid in USDT. What can lower your rate is your VIP level and the fee discount vouchers and fee cashback cards handed out in promotions, which have expiry dates.

How do you upgrade your LBank VIP level, and how often does it update?

LBank VIP is based on 30-day spot volume, 30-day futures volume and 30-day average daily assets; meeting any one of them gets you the level, and levels update every day at 10:00 (UTC+8). VIP 1 requires 500,000 USDT of spot or 5,000,000 USDT of futures volume, or 10,000 USDT in average daily assets. VIP 0 users whose first single on-chain deposit or P2P trade reaches 5,000 USDT can claim a 15-day VIP 1 trial card.

How often does LBank charge funding?

LBank’s funding settlement interval depends on the contract. On 2026-10-19, 360 USDT-margined contracts settled every 8 hours, 480 every 4 hours and 2 every hour. BTCUSDT settles every 8 hours. Funding is paid between longs and shorts, and LBank takes no fee from it.

Is LBank Convert really fee-free?

LBank states officially that spot Convert has 0 fees, with no extra charge from the platform. Convert does not lock the price: the rate is calculated from the live order book, the quote refreshes every 7 seconds, and only USDT pairs are currently supported. The price you get may differ from the spot order book, so you can compare before converting.

LBank’s security, reserves, pros and cons are covered in the LBank review; sign-up and identity verification steps are in the LBank KYC guide, and enabling futures and liquidation are in the LBank futures guide.
