WEEX Fees (2026): Spot, Futures, VIP and Whether WXT Offers a Discount

Updated Rules checked 2026-10-11

For regular WEEX users (VIP 0), spot fees are 0.1% for both Maker and Taker, and USDT-margined futures are Maker 0.02% and Taker 0.08%. The WXT platform token currently gives no fee discount. What holding WXT can do is raise your futures VIP tier, so you trade at a lower VIP rate.

Auto fee rebate (fee discount)Futures 60%, Spot 35%

On WEEX spot, Maker and Taker cost the same, so placing maker orders only saves money on futures. The futures Taker fee is 4 times the Maker fee, which makes the way you place orders the biggest factor in your total cost.

Sign up with this site’s WEEX referral code and the exchange automatically returns Futures 60%, Spot 35% of your fees. The rebate is calculated on the fees you actually pay; any part covered by trial bonus or fee vouchers doesn’t count.

The fees below were checked against WEEX’s official pages on 2026-10-11 and are provided for reference.

Key points:
1. For regular WEEX users (VIP 0), spot fees are 0.1% for both Maker and Taker, and USDT-margined futures are Maker 0.02% and Taker 0.08% (checked against official explanations on 2026-10-11).
2. The futures Taker rate is 4 times the Maker rate; since 2025-05-30, the Maker rate on 167 futures pairs has been raised to 0.03%–0.08%.
3. WXT currently can’t be used to pay fees. The 50% futures discount for holding 100,000 WXT ended on 2024-12-30, and WXT now only counts toward futures VIP thresholds.
4. A 5-day asset balance of 10,000 USDT makes you futures VIP 1, with Taker at 0.075%; 30,000 USDT is VIP 2, with Taker at 0.06%.
5. Checked on 2026-10-12, the cheapest USDT withdrawals on WEEX are on Plasma and Optimism (0.015 USDT each); BEP20 costs 0.05 USDT and TRC20 1.5 USDT.

What are WEEX’s spot and futures fees?

The futures rates come from WEEX’s spot and futures fee calculation guide (updated 2026-01-08) and WEEX’s VIP privileges guide (updated 2026-02-12); the spot rates come from WEEX’s VIP benefits upgrade announcement (updated 2026-01-08). For zero-fee USDC/USDT, see WEEX’s USDC/USDT zero spot fee announcement; for the list of pairs with higher Maker fees, see WEEX’s Maker fee adjustment announcement for some futures pairs; for the USDC futures delisting, see WEEX’s notice on delisting USDC-margined perpetual futures. WEEX’s official fee page is the WEEX fee schedule, but its tables load dynamically, so the figures in this article follow the help center announcements. WEEX’s official fee announcements list only USDT-margined futures; they give no rates for coin-margined futures.

Some older help pages haven’t been updated. For example, WEEX’s “How are trading fees calculated?” page gives a futures Taker fee of 0.06%, which was the 2024 rate. On 2024-11-01 WEEX moved the Futures Pro Taker fee back to 0.08% (WEEX’s Futures Pro fee restoration announcement), and the 2026 fee guide and VIP table also show 0.08%. If the numbers you find don’t match, check the help page’s update date first.

What’s the difference between Maker and Taker on WEEX?

WEEX defines it this way: an order that doesn’t fill right away and instead goes into the order book (market depth) to wait for a match is a Maker order; an order that fills immediately against orders already on the book is a Taker order. Market orders are always Taker, and so are IOC and FOK orders. A limit order isn’t guaranteed to be Maker: if its price can already fill immediately, it still counts as Taker. To make sure you’re the maker, choose “Post Only” when you place the order.

For example, say BTC is at 60,000 USDT and you go long 0.1 BTC on the BTCUSDT futures contract, a position value of 6,000 USDT. Entering with a market order is Taker: 6,000 × 0.08% = 4.8 USDT. Placing a limit order below the current price and waiting for it to fill is Maker: 6,000 × 0.02% = 1.2 USDT. Same position, a 3.6 USDT difference in entry fees. Spot has no such difference: at VIP 0, Maker and Taker are both 0.1%, so buying 6,000 USDT of BTC costs 6 USDT whether you place a maker or a taker order. For the gap between Maker and Taker rates across 13 exchanges, see Maker vs Taker fees.

1,000 USDT1 USDT0.9 / 0.8 USDT0
10,000 USDT10 USDT9 / 8 USDT0
100,000 USDT100 USDT90 / 80 USDT0

From 2024-10-01, WEEX restored spot fees from 0% to 0.1% each for Maker and Taker (WEEX’s spot trading fee update announcement). The same announcement states that projects listed through WE-Launch get zero spot fees as a launch offer. Spot VIP 1 requires 500,000 USDT in 30-day spot trading volume, which most people will find hard to reach through spot alone.

WEEX doesn’t state officially which coin spot fees are deducted from. WEEX’s spot trading user agreement only says fees are deducted directly from your account without separate notice. Check your trade history for how much was actually deducted and in which coin.

Zero-fee pairs (such as USDC/USDT, or coins during a WE-Launch launch offer) have no fees to return, so they earn no rebate. WEEX calculates commission on the trading fees the invitee actually pays (WEEX Partner Program terms, Section 5.1).

WEEX charges futures fees only when an open, close or position reduction actually fills; unfilled and canceled orders cost nothing. Fees are calculated on position value regardless of leverage and are deducted from the position margin. The official formula is: fee = opening price × contract face value × number of contracts × Maker or Taker rate (WEEX’s spot and futures fee calculation guide). For how notional value is calculated, with worked examples for 13 exchanges, see how futures fees are calculated.

Worked example: with 1,000 USDT of margin at 10x leverage, the position value is 1,000 × 10 = 10,000 USDT. Opening with a Taker order costs 10,000 × 0.08% = 8 USDT; closing with a Taker order (assuming the price hasn’t moved) costs another 8 USDT, so the round trip is 16 USDT, or 1.6% of your margin. Opening and closing with Maker orders: 10,000 × 0.02% × 2 = 4 USDT. Maker open, Taker close (for example, when a stop-loss triggers): 2 + 8 = 10 USDT. At 20x leverage, the round-trip Taker fee on the same 1,000 USDT of margin becomes 32 USDT.

The example shows that fees follow position size: the higher the leverage, the more you pay in fees on the same margin. Leverage also magnifies losses, and if the price moves against you, your position may be liquidated. Before opening a position, you can estimate the liquidation price with the liquidation price calculator and add up fees and funding together with the perpetual futures cost calculator.

How do WEEX VIP tiers work?

WEEX futures VIP tiers can be reached in three ways, and meeting any one of them is enough: 30-day futures trading volume, 24-hour WXT holdings, or 5-day asset balance (USDT).

Tier30-day futures volume (USDT)24-hour WXT holdings5-day asset balance (USDT)Futures MakerFutures Taker
VIP 00000.020%0.080%
VIP 1≥ 1,000,000≥ 5,000≥ 10,0000.020%0.075%
VIP 2≥ 5,000,000≥ 50,000≥ 30,0000.018%0.060%
VIP 3≥ 10,000,000≥ 250,000≥ 50,0000.018%0.055%
VIP 4≥ 30,000,000≥ 500,000≥ 100,0000.016%0.050%
VIP 5≥ 50,000,000≥ 1,000,000≥ 200,0000.016%0.048%

The table follows WEEX’s VIP privileges guide (updated 2026-02-12), and its rates match WEEX’s VIP fee adjustment notice (effective from 2025-09-15). The top tier, VIP 8, is Maker 0.010% and Taker 0.040%, and requires 500 million USDT in 30-day futures volume, 3.5 million WXT held, or a 5-day asset balance of 1 million USDT. The announcement notes that the “5-day asset balance” criterion takes effect from April 30.

Spot VIP has a separate table, based only on 30-day spot trading volume:

Tier30-day spot volume (USDT)Spot MakerSpot Taker
VIP 000.10%0.10%
VIP 1500,0000.08%0.09%
VIP 21,000,0000.07%0.08%
VIP 32,000,0000.05%0.06%
VIP 45,000,0000.04%0.05%
VIP 510,000,0000.03%0.04%

Spot VIP 8 (100 million USDT in 30-day spot volume) is 0% (WEEX’s VIP benefits upgrade announcement). WEEX doesn’t state officially whether a VIP tier reached through WXT or asset balance also gets the spot VIP rates.

WEEX doesn’t state officially how often tiers are recalculated. Two rules are visible. If you no longer meet any VIP condition, there’s a 14-day downgrade protection period during which you keep your VIP rates, and once it ends your tier is reassessed based on your data at that time (WEEX’s VIP benefits upgrade announcement). WXT holdings are measured over 24 hours: a 2025 VIP campaign announcement states that the WXT holdings snapshot period is 24 hours, and tier changes show up only after 24 hours (WEEX VIP campaign announcement).

For regular retail traders, the easiest tier to reach is VIP 1 through a “5-day asset balance of 10,000 USDT”, which lowers the futures Taker fee from 0.08% to 0.075%. A 30,000 USDT asset balance gets you VIP 2 with Taker at 0.06%, a quarter cheaper than VIP 0. The cost of this approach is keeping your funds on the exchange. How VIP rates interact with referral rebates is covered in how VIP tiers affect referral rebates.

Can the WXT platform token discount WEEX fees?

Unlike BNB, OKB and BGB, WEEX’s WXT currently can’t be used to pay fees or get a discount. The perk did exist once: from 2024-11-01, holding 100,000 WXT in your spot account for 3 consecutive days cut futures fees by 50%, to Maker 0.01% and Taker 0.04% (WEEX’s announcement of 50% off futures fees for WXT holders). On 2024-12-27, WEEX announced that once the VIP-exclusive rates launched on December 30, “the 50% fee discount campaign for holding 100,000 WXT will end at the same time”, and lower rates would come from VIP upgrades instead (WEEX’s announcement on the launch of its best VIP rates). When I checked on 2026-10-11, I found no current rule in the WEEX help center for paying fees with WXT.

Today WXT’s only role in fees is counting toward futures VIP: holding 5,000 WXT over 24 hours is VIP 1 (Taker 0.075%), 50,000 WXT is VIP 2 (Taker 0.06%), and 250,000 WXT is VIP 3 (Taker 0.055%). With 300,000 USDT of futures volume a month, all Taker, VIP 0 pays 240 USDT, VIP 1 pays 225 USDT and VIP 2 pays 180 USDT. Whether holding WXT is worth it to save 15 to 60 USDT a month depends on WXT’s price and volatility, and holding the token can itself lose money.

WEEX has also run “Trade to Earn” campaigns that return futures fees in WXT. The first round ran from 2025-11-26 to 2025-12-25 and the second started on 2025-12-26; you had to register to qualify, and the return rate was tiered by trading volume (WEEX’s Trade to Earn extension announcement, WEEX’s Trade to Earn Round 2 announcement). These are limited-time campaigns, not a fixed discount; check the campaign page to see whether one is running. As for rebates: WEEX calculates commission on the fees actually paid after fee discounts, so the lower your VIP rate, the smaller the base for your rebate.

Do WEEX funding rates count as trading fees?

If you hold a perpetual futures position, you’ll also run into funding fees. WEEX states that “WEEX does not charge any funding fees; funding fees are exchanged between users”. When the funding rate is positive, longs pay shorts; when it’s negative, shorts pay longs. You pay or receive only if you still hold a position at the settlement time (WEEX’s funding fee guide).

  • Formula: funding fee = funding rate × position value, where position value = face value × number of contracts × latest mark price. It doesn’t depend on leverage or on how much margin you post.
  • Settlement frequency: WEEX’s funding rate FAQ says it’s charged every 8 hours (WEEX funding rate FAQ), but settlement times differ by pair, so go by what the contract info shows.
  • Example: on a 10,000 USDT long with an assumed funding rate of +0.01%, you pay 1 USDT per settlement; with 3 settlements a day, that’s 3 USDT. When the rate turns negative, the same long receives money instead.
  • Where to check: Assets → Futures bills → Funding fees.

Funding fees are money traders pay each other, not a fee the exchange collects, so they earn no rebate. If you hold futures positions for several days, your funding fees can add up to more than your opening and closing fees. For settlement intervals and rate caps across 13 exchanges, see what the funding rate is.

Does WEEX charge for deposits, withdrawals, Quick Buy and P2P?

  • Deposits: WEEX’s deposit FAQ doesn’t mention any platform deposit fee, but the wallet or exchange you send from charges an on-chain network fee. The minimum USDT deposit on TRC-20 and ERC-20 is 1 USDT; anything below that won’t be credited (WEEX deposit FAQ).
  • Withdrawals: WEEX’s withdrawal FAQ states that withdrawal fees are “collected by miners, not by the platform”. The amount varies by coin and network, and you can look it up at the bottom of the withdrawal page or on the “Withdrawal fees” tab of the WEEX fee schedule (WEEX withdrawal FAQ). The same coin can cost very different amounts on different networks, so compare before you withdraw.
  • Internal transfers: transfers to another WEEX user are free (WEEX internal transfer FAQ).
  • Quick Buy: buying crypto with fiat is handled by third-party payment providers. WEEX describes it as a “zero-fee deposit experience”, but the price is quoted by the provider, so compare it with the market price before you pay (WEEX Quick Buy guide).
  • P2P: WEEX charges no P2P trading fee, but payment channels may charge fees, and advertisers set their own prices. P2P requires identity verification, and you can only trade in the fiat currencies supported for your verified country (WEEX P2P FAQ). Check the P2P page to see whether the New Taiwan dollar (TWD) is available.

USDT withdrawal fees: according to WEEX’s official fee data from 2026-10-12, USDT costs 0.015 USDT each on Plasma and Optimism, 0.05 USDT on BEP20, 0.1 USDT each on TON and Polygon, 0.5 USDT each on ERC20 and Solana, and 1.5 USDT on TRC20. ERC20 has a minimum withdrawal of 20 USDT, and TON requires a Memo. For fees and minimum withdrawals by network on 13 exchanges, see USDT withdrawal fees compared.

If you use copy trading, there’s also a profit share for the trader. WEEX’s help page (updated 2026-01-08) says that when a follower makes a profit, the trader takes 10% of the net profit (profit minus fees), settled daily; there’s no profit share on losses (WEEX copy trading: trader profit share). Copy trades still pay the futures fee rate on opens and closes. Withdrawal fees, deposit fees and the copy trading profit share aren’t trading fees and don’t generate rebates.

How do I check my own WEEX fee tier?

What do you actually pay on WEEX after a referral rebate?

WEEX’s referral rebate is calculated on the “fees actually paid”, after fee discounts and trial bonus are taken out. The partner terms say commission is calculated on the trading fees the invitee actually pays, minus fee discounts, bonuses, subsidies and other costs WEEX gives specific users (WEEX Partner Program terms). WEEX sets the rebate rates for futures and spot separately, and the two rates differ.

In these cases you get no rebate, or the rebate is deducted:

  • Fees paid with futures trial bonus or fee vouchers: WEEX’s commission FAQ states that when trial bonus or vouchers offset fees, no fee of real value is generated, so there’s no commission (WEEX commission FAQ). Funds are used in the order vouchers → trial bonus → principal, so any vouchers you have are used up first.
  • Zero-fee pairs and promotional contracts: no fee, no rebate.
  • Abnormal trading: for opening and closing positions within 5 minutes, self-trading, or using multiple devices or accounts to farm fees, WEEX deducts rebates depending on the circumstances (WEEX abnormal trading policy).
  • Funding fees, deposit fees and withdrawal fees.

Example at a spot fee rate of 0.1% and the current 35% automatic rebate (rate updated 2026-10-24). Your exchange statement prevails.

Example: 300,000 USDT of futures volume a month

Say you trade 300,000 USDT of futures volume in a month, all on pairs with standard rates:

  • VIP 0, all Taker: 300,000 × 0.08% = 240 USDT.
  • VIP 0, half Maker and half Taker: 150,000 × 0.02% + 150,000 × 0.08% = 30 + 120 = 150 USDT.
  • VIP 0, all Maker: 300,000 × 0.02% = 60 USDT.
  • VIP 2 (30,000 USDT asset balance or 50,000 WXT held), all Taker: 300,000 × 0.06% = 180 USDT.

Multiply any of these fee amounts by the futures rebate rate to get that month’s rebate; you can confirm the rate and amount with the estimators above. When you combine a VIP rate with a referral code, your actual cost = fee at the VIP rate × (1 − rebate rate). The two discounts multiply rather than add, as explained in the rebate glossary. The WEEX referral code and how to sign up are covered in WEEX referral code; for a comparison of exchange fees after rebates, see actual exchange fees after referral rebates. For the official VIP 0 rates of 13 exchanges ranked from lowest to highest, see lowest-fee crypto exchanges ranked.

What are the ways to save on WEEX fees?

Ranked by how much a typical retail trader can save:

  1. Use Maker orders on futures: going from Taker 0.08% to Maker 0.02% cuts the fee by three quarters. In the 300,000 USDT-a-month example above, switching entirely to Maker saves 180 USDT. Two limits: 167 pairs have Maker fees raised to 0.03%–0.08%, so check the rate on the trading page before you place an order; and spot VIP 0 charges 0.1% for both Maker and Taker, so maker orders save nothing on spot.
  2. Get a rebate with a referral code: the fees you actually pay on both Maker and Taker orders count, with separate rates for futures and spot; see the estimators for amounts. WEEX states that the referral relationship can’t be changed after successful registration (WEEX registration guide), so enter the code when you sign up. For what you can do afterwards, see the WEEX referral switch guide and can you add a referral code after signing up.
  3. Reach VIP with asset balance or WXT: reaching VIP 1 on volume takes 1 million USDT in 30 days, which isn’t easy for most people. A 5-day asset balance of 10,000 USDT or 5,000 WXT held gets you VIP 1 (Taker 0.075%), and 30,000 USDT or 50,000 WXT gets you VIP 2 (Taker 0.06%). On 300,000 USDT of Taker volume a month, VIP 1 saves 15 USDT and VIP 2 saves 60 USDT.
  4. Platform token: don’t count on a WXT discount: WXT currently can’t be used for a fee discount; it only counts toward VIP thresholds or limited-time return campaigns such as Trade to Earn. If you’re thinking of buying WXT just for fees, first work out whether the savings from the previous point are enough to offset the risk of WXT’s price swings.
  5. Use Quick Buy less and skip unnecessary withdrawals: Quick Buy prices are third-party quotes, so compare them with the market price before you deposit. To send funds to another WEEX account, use an internal transfer, which is free. If you do need to withdraw, compare network fees on the withdrawal page first. These aren’t trading fees, so rebates don’t cover them.

FAQ

What are WEEX’s fees?

For regular WEEX users (VIP 0), spot fees are 0.1% each for Maker and Taker, and USDT-margined futures are Maker 0.02% and Taker 0.08% (checked against WEEX’s official guides on 2026-10-11). 167 futures pairs have Maker fees of 0.03%–0.08%, USDC/USDT spot has zero fees, and higher VIP tiers get lower rates.

How are WEEX futures fees calculated?

WEEX futures fee = position value × rate, so it’s based on position value, not margin. With 1,000 USDT of margin at 10x, the position is 10,000 USDT: a Taker open costs 8 USDT and the close another 8 USDT, 16 USDT for the round trip. Fees are charged only when orders fill; canceled orders are free.

How are WEEX fees deducted?

WEEX futures fees are deducted from the position margin; if you have vouchers or trial bonus, they’re used first, in the order vouchers → trial bonus → principal. WEEX doesn’t state officially which coin spot fees are deducted from, only that they’re deducted directly from your account, so check your trade history.

Where can I see my WEEX fees?

After logging in, open the WEEX VIP program page to see your current tier and the matching fee rates. The trading fee tables are on WEEX’s fee schedule page, and withdrawal fees are on the “Withdrawal fees” tab of the same page. For how much you actually paid on each futures trade, check the fill details on the futures trading page.

What are WEEX’s withdrawal fees?

WEEX withdrawals (cash-outs) carry an on-chain network fee. WEEX states it’s “collected by miners, not by the platform”, and the amount varies by coin and network. You’ll find the exact amount at the bottom of the withdrawal page or on the “Withdrawal fees” tab of the official fee page; transfers to other WEEX users go through internal transfer for free.

How much does WEEX charge to withdraw USDT?

Checked on 2026-10-12, withdrawing USDT from WEEX costs 0.015 USDT each on Plasma and Optimism, 0.05 USDT on BEP20, 0.5 USDT on ERC20 and 1.5 USDT on TRC20. The fee is fixed per withdrawal regardless of the amount, so go by what the withdrawal page shows before you withdraw; for a comparison of 13 exchanges, see USDT withdrawal fees compared.

Can holding WXT lower my fees?

Not at the moment. The 50% futures fee discount for holding 100,000 WXT ended on 2024-12-30, when the VIP-exclusive rates launched. WXT now only counts toward futures VIP thresholds: holding 5,000 WXT over 24 hours, for example, is VIP 1, with a futures Taker fee of 0.075%.

Can I use the referral rebate and VIP rates together?

WEEX calculates rebates on the fees actually paid after fee discounts, so your rebate is the fee at your VIP rate multiplied by the rebate rate: actual cost = fee at the VIP rate × (1 − rebate rate). WEEX doesn’t state officially whether VIP users can still receive rebates; for how different exchanges handle this, see how VIP tiers affect referral rebates. If your rebate hasn’t arrived, see what to do if your rebate hasn’t arrived for how to check.

The situations in which rebates get canceled are covered in can your rebate be cancelled; for the difference between the commission a referrer earns and the rebate an invitee gets, see referrer commission vs. invitee rebate. To compare other exchanges, see the exchange referral codes roundup.
