Binance Fees (2026): Spot, Futures, VIP and BNB Discount

Updated Rules checked 2026-10-11

For regular Binance users (VIP 0), spot trading fees are 0.1% for both Maker and Taker, and USDⓈ-M futures are 0.02% Maker and 0.05% Taker. Paying fees with BNB gets you 25% off on spot (down to 0.075%) and 10% off on USDⓈ-M futures (Taker drops to 0.045%).

Auto fee rebate (fee discount)20%
Referral codeKEVINWU

If you sign up with a referral code, Binance also returns 20% of your fees. This applies to spot (including margin) and USDⓈ-M futures, and it’s calculated on the net fees you actually pay.

This guide puts spot, futures, VIP tiers, the BNB discount, funding rates and withdrawal fees in one place, with an official source for every figure and a worked example of how futures fees are calculated. The rates below were checked against Binance’s official pages on 2026-10-19 and are provided for reference.

Key points:
1. For regular Binance users (VIP 0), spot fees are 0.1% for both Maker and Taker, and USDⓈ-M futures are Maker 0.02% and Taker 0.05% (checked against the official fee page on 2026-10-19).
2. Paying fees with BNB takes 25% off spot, bringing it to 0.075%, and 10% off USDⓈ-M futures, bringing Taker to 0.045%.
3. Futures fees are calculated on position value: with 1,000 USDT of margin at 10x, opening and closing with Taker orders costs 10 USDT in total.
4. Since 2026-07-21, moving up to a VIP tier requires holding BNB first (5 BNB for VIP 1); referral rebates apply only to regular users and VIP 1–2.
5. According to official data from 2026-10-12, withdrawing USDT from Binance costs 0.01 USDT on BEP20 and 1.5 USDT on TRC20.

Spot rates come from the Binance spot fee page; futures rates and the 10% BNB discount come from the Binance futures trading fee explainer (updated 2026-05-01). The futures explainer states that the rates it uses are examples and that the fee schedule is what counts. The futures tab of the fee page only shows after you log in, so this guide doesn’t list futures rates by VIP tier. (Checked 2026-10-19)

Maker vs. Taker: what’s the difference

A Taker order “takes” an order already sitting on the order book. Market orders and limit orders that fill immediately both count as Taker. A Maker order is a limit order that doesn’t fill right away and waits for someone else to trade against it, which adds liquidity to the market.

Example: BTC is at 60,000 USDT and you buy 0.1 BTC with a market order on USDⓈ-M futures. The trade is worth 6,000 USDT, and at the 0.05% Taker rate the fee is 3 USDT. If you instead place a limit order at 59,950 USDT and it fills once the price dips, the trade is worth 5,995 USDT, and at the 0.02% Maker rate the fee is about 1.2 USDT, 60% less.

For VIP 0 users on spot, Maker and Taker are both 0.1%, so placing limit orders saves nothing on spot. On futures the Taker rate is 2.5 times the Maker rate, and which one you use is the biggest single factor in your futures fees. For the gap between Maker and Taker rates across 13 exchanges, see Maker vs Taker fees.

How much are Binance spot fees, and which coin are they deducted from?

ItemStandard ratePaid with BNB
Spot Maker0.1%0.075%
Spot Taker0.1%0.075%
USDC pairs Taker0.095%0.07125%

The fee page also lists a Taker rate of 0.095% for USDC pairs (0.07125% with the BNB discount); the Maker column only says “Standard” and gives no specific figure. Binance states that spot fees are always deducted from the coin you receive. If you buy 10 ETH with USDC, you receive ETH, and the fee is 10 × 0.1% = 0.01 ETH; if you sell 10 ETH for 34,525.5 USDC, the fee is 34,525.5 × 0.1% = 34.5255 USDC. The estimated fee on the trading page is only a guide. To see exactly how much was deducted on each trade, check “Trade History” (Binance spot fee calculation guide, updated 2026-01-06).

You pay twice on a round trip: buying BTC with 1,000 USDT costs about 1 USDT worth of BTC in fees, and selling later at the same price costs about another 1 USDT. The round-trip cost is roughly 0.2%, so the price has to rise more than 0.2% before you start making money. With the BNB discount on, the round-trip cost drops to about 0.15%.

Once the BNB discount is on, fees are deducted in BNB, converted at the market price at the time of the trade. Binance also runs zero-fee trading pairs from time to time. These trades charge no fee, so they generate no referral commission, and the invitee gets no rebate on them (Binance Referral Pro FAQ). Which pairs are currently zero-fee is shown on the trading page.

Margin trading carries borrowing interest on top of trading fees; see the Binance margin fee page for rates.

How are Binance futures fees calculated?

ContractMakerTakerPaid with BNB
USDⓈ-M futures0.02%0.05%Maker 0.018%, Taker 0.045%
COIN-M futures0.02%0.05%Not stated officially

Futures fees are calculated on position value, not on margin. For USDⓈ-M futures the formula is: fee = contract quantity × fill price × fee rate. For COIN-M futures, position value is “number of contracts × contract size ÷ fill price”, and the fee is charged in the coin itself, for example BTC (Binance futures trading fee explainer). For the difference between notional value and margin, with worked examples for 13 exchanges, see how futures fees are calculated.

Worked example: with 1,000 USDT of margin at 10x leverage, the position is worth 1,000 × 10 = 10,000 USDT. Opening with a market order (Taker): 10,000 × 0.05% = 5 USDT; closing with a market order: another 5 USDT. The round trip costs 10 USDT, or 1% of your margin. Using Maker orders on both sides costs 10,000 × 0.02% × 2 = 4 USDT; paying Taker fees with BNB costs 10,000 × 0.045% × 2 = 9 USDT.

The higher the leverage, the larger the position for the same margin, and fees rise in proportion: the same 1,000 USDT of margin at 20x, opened and closed with Taker orders, costs 20 USDT. To pay futures fees with BNB, first transfer BNB into your USDⓈ-M futures account. If the futures account doesn’t have enough BNB, the fee is taken in USDT, with no discount. Leveraged positions may be force-liquidated when the price moves against you, and you can lose your entire margin. Before opening a position, you can estimate the liquidation price with the liquidation price calculator and add up fees and funding together with the perpetual futures cost calculator.

How much are Binance fees on a 1,000, 10,000 or 100,000 USDT trade?

At VIP 0, a spot market order costs 10 USDT in fees for every 10,000 USDT traded, or 7.5 USDT with the BNB discount. A 10,000 USDT USDⓈ-M futures position opened and closed with market orders costs 10 USDT in total. Multiply the amount by 10 and the fee goes up exactly 10 times:

Amount (USDT)Spot Taker, one trade (0.1%)Spot paid with BNB (0.075%)Futures Taker, open + close (0.05% × 2)Futures paid with BNB (0.045% × 2)
1,00010.7510.9
10,000107.5109
100,0001007510090

Spot figures are the fee for a single buy or sell; double them for a buy and a sell. For futures, the amount is position value (margin × leverage), not margin. Rates are Binance’s official VIP 0 rates checked on 2026-10-19; all fees are in USDT and don’t include the referral rebate.

If you signed up with a referral code, Binance also returns 20% of the fees above (for regular users and VIP 1–2, calculated on net fees). To work out your own amount, use the calculators under “What you actually pay after a referral rebate” below.

Binance fees compared with other exchanges: VIP 0 spot and futures rates on 13 exchanges

Binance’s VIP 0 rates sit in the middle of the 13 exchanges. Its 0.1% spot Taker rate is the same as seven others, including OKX, Bybit and Bitget; it’s lower than the 0.2% at HTX and XT, and higher than MEXC, Pionex and Ourbit, which currently charges 0% on spot. Its 0.05% USDⓈ-M futures Taker rate ties with OKX, Gate, BingX and Pionex for third lowest; only MEXC (0.02%) and Ourbit (0.04%) are lower.

Binance rates were checked against its official pages on 2026-10-19; the other 12 come from this site’s fee guide for each exchange (checked against each exchange’s official pages between 2026-10-11 and 2026-10-17). Futures are the standard rates for USDT perpetual futures. KuCoin’s spot rate is for Class A coins (Class B is 0.2% and Class C is 0.3%). The fee schedule for Taiwanese VIP users that Ourbit published in 2025 lists the futures Taker fee for Taiwan VIP 0 at 0.05%. All figures are standard rates, before platform-token discounts and referral rebates.

Factor in platform-token discounts and Binance spot paid with BNB comes to 0.075%, the same as Bybit paid with MNT, and lower than Bitget and KuCoin after their discounts (0.08%) and Gate (0.09%). The futures Taker rate paid with BNB is 0.045%; the Bitget, Gate and KuCoin tokens only discount spot fees, not futures. How do Binance VIP tiers work?

Under Binance’s rules from 2026-07-21, you first need to hold enough BNB, and then meet any one of the conditions below to reach that tier. Tiers update automatically once a day at UTC 08:00 (16:00 Taiwan time), and if you qualify for several tiers, you get the highest (Binance VIP program update announcement).

Spot rates come from the Binance spot fee page, which goes up to VIP 9. Spot volume includes spot, margin, Convert, copy trading and trading bot volume; OTC spot volume counts 4x. Futures volume includes both USDⓈ-M and COIN-M futures.

One thing stands out in the table: VIP 1 and VIP 2 only lower the Maker rate, and the spot Taker rate stays at 0.1%, so if you mostly use market orders, upgrading makes almost no difference. Taker only drops to 0.06% at VIP 3, but Binance’s referral commission applies only to regular users and VIP 1–2. Once you reach VIP 3 or above, the rebate stops, and it resumes only if you drop back to VIP 2 or below. The trade-off between VIP tiers and rebates is covered in how VIP tiers affect referral rebates.

How do you use BNB to get a discount on Binance fees?

  • Discount: up to 25% off on spot and margin, and up to 10% off on futures. VIP users get this discount on top of their VIP rates.
  • On the web: on the spot trading page, click “Fee Level” and turn on the BNB discount toggle, or go to the “Fees and Trading Overview” page and turn on “BNB Discount”.
  • In the app: “Account Center” → settings icon → “BNB Discount” → turn on “Use BNB to pay fees”. You can also set it under “Trade” → “Spot” → “…” in the top right → “Fee”.
  • Where to keep the BNB: for the spot discount, keep it in your spot account; for the USDⓈ-M futures discount, keep it in your USDⓈ-M futures account. If there isn’t enough BNB, you’re charged the full fee.

The above follows the Binance guide to paying fees with BNB (updated 2026-02-06), which states that the 25% discount applies “until further notice”. Binance doesn’t state whether the referral rebate is calculated on fees before or after the BNB discount; it only states that the rebate is based on net fees (after market maker rebates are deducted). Also keep in mind that holding BNB in your account means taking on BNB’s price swings.

Is the funding rate a Binance trading fee?

The funding rate on perpetual futures is a payment exchanged periodically between longs and shorts to keep the contract price close to the spot index. When the rate is positive, longs pay shorts; when it’s negative, shorts pay longs. Binance states that it doesn’t charge any fee on these payments (Binance funding rate explainer, updated 2026-03-06). For settlement intervals and rate caps across 13 exchanges, see what the funding rate is.

  • Settlement times: by default every 8 hours, at UTC 00:00, 08:00 and 16:00 (08:00, 16:00 and midnight 00:00 Taiwan time). Some pairs settle every 4 hours, and Binance may also change the interval for individual contracts during extreme volatility, so check each contract’s specifications page (Binance futures fees overview).
  • How it’s calculated: funding fee = position notional value (mark price × quantity) × funding rate. You only pay or receive it if you hold a position at the moment of settlement.
  • No rebate: referral commission comes from trading fees. Funding fees go to the other side of the trade, not to the exchange, so rebates don’t cover them.

Suppose the funding rate is 0.01% (just an example; the actual rate differs every period): a 10,000 USDT position pays 10,000 × 0.01% = 1 USDT per settlement. With settlement every 8 hours and an unchanged rate, that’s 3 USDT a day. Hold the position for more than three days and the accumulated funding fees may exceed the round-trip Taker fees (10 USDT).

Does Binance charge for deposits, withdrawals, Convert and P2P?

  • Crypto deposits: Binance states they’re free (Binance fee structure explainer). Fiat deposits are charged according to the payment method, and the amount is shown on the deposit page.
  • Withdrawals: the withdrawal fee is a blockchain network fee paid to miners or validators, not to Binance, and it changes with network congestion. The same coin on different networks has different fees and minimum withdrawal amounts. Choose the same network as the receiving address; if you pick the wrong one, the funds may not be recoverable (Binance withdrawal fee explainer). Check the current fee on the withdrawal page or the Binance deposit and withdrawal fee page.
  • Convert: Binance states that Convert quotes don’t include traditional trading fees and that nothing extra is charged on top of the quote. However, quotes move with the market and may differ from the spot market price, and that difference is the real cost. Convert volume is added to your spot VIP volume the next day (Binance Convert FAQ, updated 2026-04-20).
  • P2P: fees vary by fiat market and trading pair. I couldn’t find an official table of the fees currently in effect, so go by the fee shown on the order page before you place an order.
  • Liquidation: when a futures position is liquidated, an “Insurance Clearance” fee is charged. It’s also calculated as position notional value times a rate, and the rates are listed on Binance’s trading rules page.

USDT withdrawal fees: according to Binance’s official data from 2026-10-12, USDT costs 0.01 USDT on BEP20, 0.012 on Plasma, 0.07 on Polygon, 0.3 each on Solana and TON, 0.5 on ERC20 and 1.5 USDT on TRC20. The minimum withdrawal is 3 or 5 USDT, and TON requires a Memo. For fees and minimum withdrawals by network on 13 exchanges, see USDT withdrawal fees compared.

How to check your own fee tier

  • Web: log in and open the Binance fee and trading overview to see your current VIP tier and the rates that apply to you. You can also click “Fee Level” on the spot trading page.
  • App: “Trade” → “Spot” → “…” in the top right → “Fee”.
  • What each trade actually cost: check “Trade History”, which shows the final fee actually charged.

What you actually pay after a referral rebate

The referral rebate is based on net fees, meaning fees after market maker rebates are deducted, not on trade value. It applies to spot (including margin) and USDⓈ-M futures, and only for regular users and VIP 1–2. The futures rebate runs for 12 months from when you open your futures account (this limit doesn’t apply if the referrer’s futures commission rate is 30% or higher). Rebates are converted to USDC every hour and paid to your spot account within 6 hours (Binance Referral Pro FAQ, updated 2026-08-05).

Take someone who trades 300,000 USDT of futures a month. All Taker, the fees come to 300,000 × 0.05% = 150 USDT; paid with BNB, 135 USDT; all Maker, 300,000 × 0.02% = 60 USDT. The rebate then returns part of these fees. You can work out the amount with the calculators below, which update with the current rebate rate.

How can you save on Binance fees? 5 ways

Ranked for typical retail trading volumes, starting with the biggest impact:

  1. Use Maker orders on futures: going from Taker 0.05% to Maker 0.02% saves 60%. At 300,000 USDT of futures volume a month, fees fall from 150 USDT to 60 USDT. On spot at VIP 0, Maker and Taker cost the same, so this only helps on futures.
  2. Sign up with a referral code for a rebate: you don’t have to change how you trade, and part of your spot and USDⓈ-M futures fees comes back. Work out the amount with the calculators above. You need to enter the code at sign-up; afterward, only accounts under 30 days old that haven’t deposited or traded can add one.
  3. Turn on the BNB discount: 25% off on spot, 10% off on futures. It matters most for spot traders: at 20,000 USDT of spot volume a month, fees drop from 20 USDT to 15 USDT. The cost is that you have to hold BNB.
  4. Use Convert less and skip unnecessary withdrawals: Convert has no fee, but its quote may differ from the spot price. When withdrawing, pick a cheaper network that the receiving side also supports, and don’t move small amounts back and forth.
  5. VIP tiers: VIP 1 requires holding 5 BNB plus conditions such as 1 million USD of spot volume or 5 million USD of futures volume in 30 days, which most people won’t reach. On top of that, VIP 1–2 don’t lower the spot Taker rate, and VIP 3 and above get no rebate. Unless your volume is at that scale, the first four methods are more practical.

FAQ

How much are Binance’s trading fees?

For regular users, spot fees are 0.1% (the same for Maker and Taker), and USDⓈ-M futures are 0.02% Maker and 0.05% Taker. Paid with BNB, spot becomes 0.075% and the USDⓈ-M futures Taker rate becomes 0.045%. On spot at VIP 0, limit and market orders cost the same; Maker only gets cheaper from VIP 1, and Taker only drops to 0.06% at VIP 3. The rates that apply to you are shown on the fee overview page after you log in.

How are Binance fees deducted?

Spot fees are deducted from the coin you receive: buying ETH deducts ETH, and selling ETH for USDC deducts USDC. With the BNB discount on, BNB is deducted instead. USDⓈ-M futures fees are deducted from the futures account, for example in USDT; BNB is deducted only when the BNB discount is on and the futures account holds enough BNB.

Where can I see my Binance fees?

After logging in, open the Binance fee and trading overview to see your current VIP tier and the rates that apply to you. In the app, go to “Trade” → “Spot” → “…” in the top right → “Fee”. To see how much was actually deducted on each trade, check “Trade History”.

How are Binance futures fees calculated?

Position value × fee rate, charged once when you open and once when you close. With 1,000 USDT of margin at 10x, the position is worth 10,000 USDT, and opening and closing with Taker orders costs 10,000 × 0.05% × 2 = 10 USDT. The fee is based on position value, not margin, so the higher the leverage, the higher the fees.

What are Binance futures fees, and are they higher than other exchanges?

Binance USDⓈ-M futures cost 0.02% Maker and 0.05% Taker for regular users (VIP 0); paying with BNB takes 10% off, bringing them to 0.018% and 0.045%. Among the 13 exchanges this site covers, the 0.05% Taker rate is the same as OKX, Gate, BingX and Pionex, lower than Bybit (0.055%), Bitget, KuCoin, HTX and XT (0.06%) and WEEX (0.08%), and higher than MEXC (0.02%) and Ourbit (0.04%). Each exchange’s rates were checked against its official pages between 2026-10-11 and 2026-10-19.

How much does Binance charge on a 10,000 USDT trade?

At VIP 0, buying 10,000 USDT of spot with a market order costs 10 USDT in fees (0.1%), or 7.5 USDT paid with BNB, and you pay again when you sell. A 10,000 USDT USDⓈ-M futures position opened and closed with market orders costs 10 USDT in total, or 4 USDT with Maker orders on both sides. Futures fees are based on position value, so 1,000 USDT of margin at 10x is a 10,000 USDT position.

How much does it cost to withdraw from Binance?

The withdrawal fee is a blockchain network fee. It varies by coin and network and changes with network congestion, so there’s no fixed amount. Before you confirm a withdrawal, the withdrawal page shows the current fee and minimum amount. Crypto deposits are free.

How much does Binance charge to withdraw USDT?

Checked on 2026-10-12, withdrawing USDT from Binance costs 0.01 USDT on BEP20, 1.5 USDT on TRC20, 0.5 USDT on ERC20 and 0.3 USDT each on Solana and TON. The fee is fixed per withdrawal regardless of the amount, and it also changes with network conditions, so go by what the withdrawal page shows before you confirm; for a comparison of 13 exchanges, see USDT withdrawal fees compared.

Is paying fees with BNB worth it?

On fees alone, yes: 25% off on spot and 10% off on futures. What you need to weigh is BNB’s price swings. If you trade small amounts, you might save only a few USDT a month, so whether to hold BNB for the discount comes down to whether you were planning to hold it anyway.

Can I use a referral rebate and the BNB discount together?

You can turn on both. Binance doesn’t say they’re mutually exclusive, but it also doesn’t state whether the rebate is calculated on fees before or after the BNB discount; it only states that the rebate is based on net fees (after market maker rebates are deducted). You can see how much was actually returned under “Share Commissions” on the Referral Pro page.

For more on rebate rules, see referral commission vs. rebate, the rebate glossary, what to do if your rebate hasn’t arrived, when rebates get cancelled and can you add a referral code after sign-up. Referral codes and rebates for other exchanges are collected in the exchange referral code overview.
