Updated Rules checked 2026-10-22
The most common way to deposit on XT.COM is to have USDT ready on another exchange or in a wallet, then go to XT’s “Spot Account” → “Deposit”, copy the address and send the funds in. If you don’t hold any crypto yet, you can use “Buy Crypto” and choose P2P (C2C), a bank card purchase or a third-party payment provider. To withdraw, go to “Spot Account” → “Withdraw”, set the withdrawal type to “Address” and send the funds to your own wallet or another exchange. If the recipient is also an XT user, choose “XT User” for an internal transfer instead; XT states that these are free and arrive instantly.
KEVINWUThe mistakes most likely to cost you money are choosing the wrong network and leaving out the Memo. XT’s official tutorial states that the deposit network must match the network on the sending platform, and that choosing the wrong one may cause the funds to be lost and unrecoverable. If you deposit the wrong coin, XT “generally does not provide a recovery service”, and even when it does help, each recovery costs 100 USDT. As for identity verification (KYC), XT only says it “recommends” completing it, and its withdrawal limit guide lists a daily withdrawal limit for unverified accounts. That limit is lower than after verification, though, fiat cannot be withdrawn, and P2P and bank card purchases require verification first.
Below I have put together the deposit and withdrawal steps for the website and the app, the USDT withdrawal fee and minimum withdrawal on each network, and XT’s official handling when a withdrawal gets stuck, each with an official XT source.
Key points:
1. XT charges no fee for crypto deposits. XT’s official wallet API, read on 2026-10-22, lists 11 USDT networks, all open for both deposits and withdrawals.
2. Official data from the same day: USDT withdrawals cost 1 USDT on TRC20, 4 USDT on ERC20, 0.5 USDT on BEP20, 0.02 USDT on Polygon and 0.01 USDT on Aptos, and the minimum withdrawal is 10 USDT on every network.
3. XT calculates withdrawal fees dynamically from coin prices; the actual amount is whatever the withdrawal page shows.
4. Transfers to another XT user by ID, email or phone number are free, and XT states they arrive instantly.
5. After you change or reset your login password, or change your Google Authenticator, email or phone number, withdrawals and P2P trading are disabled for 24 hours. Coins bought on P2P can also only be withdrawn to addresses outside XT after 24 hours.
The information below was checked against XT’s official pages on 2026-10-22 (data check date) and is provided for your reference.
How to deposit on XT.COM: USDT deposit steps
Before you start, decide which network the sending side will use. If you are wondering whether to verify your identity first, see the XT KYC identity verification guide. Button names follow XT’s official help articles; if the interface has changed, go by what you see on screen.
Deposit steps on the website
- Log in to your XT account and click “Spot Account” → “Deposit”.
- Choose the coin you want to deposit, for example USDT.
- The page lists the networks available for USDT deposits. Choose the same one as the sending platform.
- The page shows the deposit address and QR code for that network. Click the copy icon and paste the address into the address field on the sending platform, or scan the QR code from the sending platform.
- Once the block confirmations are complete, the funds are credited, and you can check them under “Assets”.
Deposit steps in the app
- Log in to the XT app and tap “Deposit”.
- Choose the coin (for example USDT), then choose the deposit network.
- Copy the address or save the QR code, paste it on the sending platform, and check that the networks on both sides match once more before you submit.
- To track progress, go to “Assets” → “Spot” → “Funding Records”. Every entry comes with a transaction ID (TxID), and tapping it opens the block explorer, where you can see the confirmation status.
The steps are based on XT: how to deposit (web & app) (updated 2026-10-13) and XT: how to find the transaction ID (TxID). XT reminds you “not to simply go for the network with the lowest fee”: choose a network that both the receiving and the sending side support. For example, ERC20 tokens can only be sent to an ERC20 address.
Which USDT deposit networks are there, and how many confirmations do they need?
XT states how many confirmations each coin needs, and you can see the number when you open the coin on the deposit page. The table shows the USDT data returned by XT’s official wallet API on 2026-10-22; the deposit fee is 0 on all 11 networks:
| Network (XT’s name) | Minimum deposit (USDT) | Confirmations to credit |
|---|---|---|
| Tron (TRC20) | 0.1 | 3 |
| Ethereum (ERC20) | 0.1 | 12 |
| BNB Smart Chain (BEP20) | 0.1 | 15 |
| Polygon POS | 0.1 | 450 |
| Solana | 0.001 | 100 |
| The Open Network (TON) | 0 | 120 |
| Aptos | 0 | 1 |
| Arbitrum One | 0 | 100 |
| Optimism | 0 | 100 |
| AVAX C-Chain | 0 | 12 |
| XT Smart Chain | 0.1 | 12 |
Source: XT’s official wallet API (supported coins and networks), queried on 2026-10-22. For networks whose minimum deposit field is 0, XT does not explain whether there is truly no minimum, nor does it state what happens to deposits below the minimum. Before you transfer, go by what the deposit page shows.
Being credited does not always mean you can withdraw right away. According to XT: what are deposit/withdrawal confirmations, once a deposit reaches the confirmations needed to be credited, you can trade and transfer it, but an equivalent amount of assets stays temporarily frozen until the deposit reaches the confirmations for being “fully credited”, and only then can you withdraw it or use it for P2P trading. XT’s example is ETH, which needs 64 confirmations. XT does not publish a list of the unlock confirmations for each USDT network.
Two more points. First, XT announced on 2026-09-20 that USDT on the Optimism network had completed a contract swap, and from then on “only USDT deposits from the new contract address are supported”; deposits of USDT on the old contract may not be credited (XT’s Optimism USDT contract swap announcement). Second, XT Smart Chain in the table is a public chain with XT as its native token (introduction to XT Smart Chain). Before you deposit from, or withdraw to, another platform on it, make sure the other side supports this network.
What if you deposit on the wrong network or leave out the Memo?
XT’s help articles give coins such as XRP and XLM as examples of those that need a Memo (also called a label or Tag). Neither the official articles nor the API I checked list which USDT networks need a Memo, so whenever the deposit page shows a Memo, you must fill it in together with the address. XT’s summary of deposit errors (updated 2026-10-09) handles three kinds of cases:
- Missing or wrong Memo: the deposit is not credited, and XT returns it the way it came. Submit a ticket with your XT account (email or phone number), the deposit hash and the amount. XT states that once verified, the funds are returned to the sending (FROM) address within 2 weeks.
- Depositing a coin XT has not listed, or a contract that differs from the one XT lists: provide your XT account, the coin name and address, the amount and the TXID. Customer support decides whether the funds can be recovered; the whole process takes 1–2 weeks or longer, and XT does not guarantee recovery.
- Wrong address: if you sent to an address outside XT, XT cannot help. If you sent to an XT address on another chain, you can contact customer support for recovery, provided XT supports that chain and the contract address matches.
The fees are set out in XT’s fees for wrong deposits and delisted coins (updated 2026-10-13): XT generally does not provide a recovery service and may decide to help at its own discretion only in cases of major loss. Each recovery costs 100 USDT, and your account must first hold the equivalent of 100 USDT in USDT, BTC, ETH, TRX or XRP. So if you send 50 USDT to the wrong place, the recovery fee is higher than the amount itself. How recovery rules compare across exchanges is covered in how to recover a deposit sent on the wrong network, and terms such as network, Memo and transfer are explained in deposit and withdrawal terms explained.
Which account do deposits go to, and how do you move funds to the futures account?
They go to the spot account. XT: how to transfer assets (updated 2026-10-02) states that “deposits, withdrawals and spot trading all take place in the spot account”. XT also has separate margin, futures, earn and copy trading accounts, each isolated from the others. To use the money in another account, you need a transfer: on the website, go to “Assets” → “Spot Account”, choose the coin and click “Transfer”, pick the direction, the coin and the amount, then click “Confirm”. In the app, it is “Assets” → “Spot” → “Transfer”. XT states that transfers do not go through an on-chain network, arrive instantly and carry no on-chain fee.
If you want to trade futures, you can also deposit straight into the futures account: under “Assets” → “Futures Account”, click “Deposit”, choose the coin and the transfer network, then choose to deposit to the “Futures Account” (XT: how to transfer and view futures account funds). The other way round, money in the futures or earn account has to be transferred back to the spot account before you can withdraw it. Futures use leverage, and if the price moves against you, your position may be forcibly liquidated. How to activate futures and the risks are covered in the XT futures trading guide.
How to deposit without USDT: XT’s fiat channels for buying crypto
Under “Buy Crypto” on XT’s website and app, there are several ways to get crypto with fiat money. Whether you can use them, and which fiat currencies you can pay with, depends on where you are and on your KYC status; before you place an order, go by what the page shows.
- P2P (C2C): “Buy Crypto” → “P2P Trading” (called “OTC” in the app). Choose the fiat currency and the coin, pick an ad to buy from, pay through the seller’s payment method within the time limit, then click “I have paid”; the seller releases the coins after confirming the payment. XT’s introduction to C2C trading states that prices are set by users, not by XT, and that the seller’s coins are held in escrow by the platform during the trade. To use C2C, you must complete identity verification and enable phone verification and at least one form of 2FA. The website tutorial notes that if you have not received the coins within 15 minutes of clicking “I have paid”, you can contact customer support (XT: how to buy crypto on the website). The process and risks are covered in the P2P crypto buying guide.
- Bank card purchase: “Buy Crypto” → “Bank Card”. You can buy USDT with a Visa or Mastercard credit or debit card; at the moment only USDT is available. You must complete KYC before linking a card, tick the “Fiat Service Authorization Agreement” when you place the order, and then enter the one-time code sent to your registered phone (XT: how to buy crypto with a bank card). XT’s guide does not state the fee.
- Quick Buy (fiat deposit): “Buy Crypto” → “Quick Buy”. Choose the fiat currency to pay with (XT’s example is VND) and the coin to buy. The button reads “Buy with 0 fees”, payment is handed over to a partner payment platform, and XT says the coins usually arrive within a few minutes (XT: how to buy crypto with a fiat deposit). XT does not state whether the partner platform charges its own fee or how the exchange rate is set.
- Third-party payment: “Buy Crypto” → “One-Click Buy” or “Third-Party Payment”. Choose the fiat currency, the coin and the payment channel, tick “I have read and agree to the disclaimer”, and you are taken to the provider’s page to pay; the coins are deposited into your XT account automatically. The providers XT gives as examples are Banxa, Mercuryo, Simplex, Itez and Xanpool, and each requires its own identity verification. Banxa requires the payer to be the same person who passed KYC, and payments made with someone else’s card are refunded (XT: how to deposit and withdraw by credit card).
Card purchases also come with an overseas transaction fee charged by your bank; see credit card crypto fees for how it is calculated.
How to withdraw from XT.COM: on-chain withdrawal steps
Withdrawal steps on the website
- Log in to your XT account and click “Spot Account” → “Withdraw”.
- Choose the coin you want to withdraw, for example USDT.
- Set the withdrawal type to “Address”, then enter the withdrawal address or pick one from your address book.
- Choose the network. Based on the coin and the address, the page lists the supported networks and the network fee for this withdrawal; the network must match the one on the receiving platform.
- Enter the amount. The page shows the fee and the “amount the recipient will finally receive”. Once you have checked them, click “Withdraw” and complete the security verification.
Withdrawal steps in the app
- Log in to the XT app, tap “Assets” → “Withdraw” and choose the coin.
- Choose “Blockchain Transfer”.
- Enter the withdrawal address or pick one from your address book, choose the network and enter the amount. After checking the fee and the amount that will actually arrive, tap “Withdraw”.
- After completing verification, go to “Assets” → “Spot” → “Funding Records” to see the status and TxID of the withdrawal.
The steps are based on XT: how to withdraw crypto (updated 2026-10-07), which states that withdrawals use the balance in the spot account. On verification, XT: how to set up Google Authenticator states that once two-factor verification is on, you need to enter a code to log in, withdraw assets and generate withdrawal addresses. XT’s Withdrawal Risk Disclosure also states that once a withdrawal is completed, the platform cannot help recover it, and the same goes for funds sent to a wrong address.
What are XT’s USDT withdrawal fees and minimums?
| Network | Withdrawal fee (USDT) | Minimum withdrawal (USDT) | Fee as a share of a 100 USDT withdrawal |
|---|---|---|---|
| Tron (TRC20) | 1 | 10 | 1% |
| Ethereum (ERC20) | 4 | 10 | 4% |
| BNB Smart Chain (BEP20) | 0.5 | 10 | 0.5% |
| Polygon POS | 0.02 | 10 | 0.02% |
| Solana | 1 | 10 | 1% |
| The Open Network (TON) | 1 | 10 | 1% |
| Arbitrum One | 2 | 10 | 2% |
| Optimism | 1 | 10 | 1% |
| AVAX C-Chain | 1 | 10 | 1% |
| Aptos | 0.01 | 10 | 0.01% |
| XT Smart Chain | 2 | 10 | 2% |
Source: the official fee data loaded by the “Deposit & Withdrawal Fees” tab of XT’s fee schedule page, and XT’s official wallet API; the two matched on 2026-10-22. XT’s announcement on dynamic withdrawal fees states that withdrawal fees are adjusted with coin prices, so go by what the withdrawal page shows before you withdraw.
The fee is a fixed amount per withdrawal, so the less you withdraw, the larger its share. XT requires a minimum of 10 USDT on every network, and if you withdraw exactly 10 USDT on ERC20, the 4 USDT fee takes 40%. If you withdraw 100 USDT 10 times a month, you pay 40 USDT in total on ERC20, 10 USDT on TRC20, 0.2 USDT on Polygon and 0.1 USDT on Aptos. This assumes the receiving side supports that network: not every exchange or wallet accepts Aptos or Polygon. Compared with other exchanges, XT’s TRC20 fee is cheaper than Gate’s 1.5 USDT, but its ERC20 fee is higher than at most exchanges (when this site compared 13 exchanges on 2026-10-12, only KuCoin’s 5.5 USDT was higher). The full comparison is in USDT withdrawal fees compared.
For daily limits, XT has two official documents with different numbers. XT’s withdrawal limit guide (updated 2026-09-26) gives 200,000 USDT a day for unverified accounts, 10,000,000 USDT with KYC verification and 15,000,000 USDT with corporate verification, reset every day at 08:00 (UTC+8). XT’s daily withdrawal limit announcement (dated October 28, 2024) gives 6,000,000 USDT a day for unverified accounts, with fiat withdrawals prohibited, and 10,000,000 USDT a day for both identity and corporate verification. You can see your own limit under “Personal Center” → “Identity Verification” → “View limits”, and the comparison across exchanges is in exchange withdrawal limits compared.
How do you set up the address book and whitelist?
XT’s withdrawal tutorial only says that when you withdraw, you “can enter or choose from the address book” an address. How to add addresses to the address book, whether XT has a withdrawal whitelist that only allows withdrawals to listed addresses, and whether you can skip verification once it is set up are not stated in any of the official articles I found. My suggestion: the first time you withdraw to a new address, send a small amount first (XT’s minimum is 10 USDT) and confirm it arrives. After that, pick the address from the address book instead of pasting it by hand each time, and check the first and last few characters of the address before you submit.
For account protection, XT recommends turning on at least Google Authenticator (XT: how to improve account security) and then setting an anti-phishing code; every genuine email XT sends you afterwards will carry the code you set (XT: how to set an anti-phishing code). A comparison of security settings across exchanges is in exchange account security settings.
Is there a fee to send to another XT user?
No. If the other person is also an XT user, an internal transfer is the cheapest option: on the website, go to “Spot Account” → “Withdraw”, choose the coin and withdraw to “XT User”; in the app, go to “Assets” → “Withdraw”, choose the coin and tap “Internal Transfer”. Enter the recipient’s ID, email or phone number and the amount, click “Withdraw”, check the recipient’s details and click “Confirm”. XT’s internal transfer guide (updated 2026-08-04) states that “internal transfers are free and arrive instantly”. XT does not state whether a transfer to the wrong person can be reversed, so check the recipient’s UID digit by digit before you submit. Your own UID is at the top of “Personal Center” → “Overview” on the website (XT: how to find your user ID). What else a UID is used for is covered in what an exchange UID is.
What to do if an XT withdrawal is stuck or fails
XT’s guide to withdrawals not received (updated 2026-10-19) says that XT usually generates a TxID within 30–60 minutes. Once there is a TxID, XT has finished processing, and what follows depends on the block confirmations and on the receiving side crediting the funds. The table below lists the situations in XT’s help articles that can pause, delay or fail a withdrawal:
| Situation | What XT says | What to do | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| You changed a security setting | After you change or reset your login password, or change your Google Authenticator, email or phone number, withdrawals and P2P trading are disabled for 24 hours | Wait the full 24 hours; XT states the restriction lifts automatically. If you did not make the change yourself, contact customer support immediately | Change password (web), Change Google Authenticator, Change email, Change phone number |
| The coins were bought on P2P | “T+1 restriction”: coins bought on P2P can only be withdrawn to addresses outside the exchange after 24 hours; trading is not affected in the meantime. If the account already held an equivalent amount of assets, the 24-hour limit does not apply | Wait the full 24 hours, or trade and transfer within XT in the meantime | P2P trading FAQ |
| Newly deposited assets cannot be withdrawn | The deposit has been credited, but until it reaches the unlock confirmations, an equivalent amount of assets is temporarily frozen and can only be traded and transferred | Wait until the block confirmations reach the required number | Deposit/withdrawal confirmations |
| Over the daily limit | The daily withdrawal limit is counted in USDT and resets every day at 08:00 (UTC+8) | Wait for the limit to reset, or complete KYC to raise it | Withdrawal limit guide |
| The account is frozen by risk control | May be triggered by suspicious logins, frequent deposits and withdrawals in a short time, logging in from a country or region XT does not support, and similar cases | Submit a ticket as instructed in the SMS or email; the platform reviews it within 3–7 business days, and you need to provide documents proving you own the account | Account frozen by risk control |
| Coin or network maintenance | XT posts announcements when it suspends deposits and withdrawals for a specific coin or network, for example a withdrawal service maintenance of about 1 hour on 2026-05-20, during which deposits were not affected | Wait for the announcement that service has resumed, or switch to another open network | Brief withdrawal service maintenance announcement |
| The blockchain shows “Failed” | If a transfer out of XT shows as failed on the blockchain, you can contact XT customer support | Contact XT customer support with the TxID | Deposit not received |
| Confirmed on the blockchain but not received | This means XT has completed the transfer and “can no longer help” | Use the TxID to ask the receiving platform or wallet to credit the funds | Withdrawal not received |
Sources are linked in the table, checked on 2026-10-22. On the same day, XT’s official wallet API showed withdrawals open on all 11 USDT networks. Suspensions and resumptions for individual coins can be checked in the “coin deposit, withdrawal and trading maintenance” section of the XT help center.
More complex cases, such as a restricted account or a request for additional documents, are covered in what to do if your exchange account is frozen. Also be careful: none of the official procedures above requires you to pay an “unfreezing fee”, a “deposit” or “tax” first. XT also states that it will never ask you for your private key, password or 2FA code (XT: what to do if you have been scammed). Treat anyone who says you must send money before you can withdraw as a scammer. Common tactics are covered in fake exchange withdrawal scams, and in Taiwan you can call the 165 anti-fraud hotline to check.
FAQ
Does XT charge a deposit fee?
XT charges no fee for crypto deposits; what you pay is the sending side’s withdrawal fee. In XT’s official wallet API on 2026-10-22, the deposit fee was 0 on all 11 USDT networks, and the minimum deposit on TRC20, ERC20 and BEP20 was 0.1 USDT.
Which network is cheapest for withdrawing USDT from XT?
On 2026-10-22, Aptos was the cheapest at 0.01 USDT per withdrawal, followed by Polygon at 0.02 USDT. The commonly used BEP20 costs 0.5 USDT and TRC20 1 USDT, while ERC20 costs 4 USDT; the minimum withdrawal is 10 USDT on every network. Before choosing, make sure the receiving side supports that network.
How long does an XT withdrawal take to arrive?
XT says it usually generates a TxID within 30–60 minutes; after that, the time depends on how fast the blocks confirm and on the receiving side crediting the funds. It takes longer when the network is congested, and you can track progress in “Funding Records” by looking up the TxID on a block explorer.
Can you withdraw from XT without KYC?
According to XT’s official limit documents, crypto yes, fiat no. The withdrawal limit guide gives unverified accounts a daily limit of 200,000 USDT (the 2024 announcement says 6,000,000 USDT), and the limit announcement states “Fiat: withdrawal prohibited” for unverified accounts. P2P and bank card purchases require identity verification first.
Why can’t I withdraw from XT after changing my password?
After a security setting is changed, XT disables withdrawals and P2P trading for 24 hours, and the restriction lifts automatically when the period ends. It is triggered by changing or resetting your login password, changing your Google Authenticator, and changing your email or phone number. Do not trust anyone who claims they can lift it early and asks you to pay.
What if I forgot the Memo on an XT deposit?
Submit a ticket with your XT account, the deposit hash and the amount, and XT will return the funds the way they came. XT states that once verified, the funds go back to the sending (FROM) address within 2 weeks. If you deposited the wrong coin or a mismatched contract, it goes through the recovery process instead, which costs 100 USDT per case and does not guarantee recovery.
Can I withdraw directly from my XT futures account?
No. You first need to transfer the funds from the futures account back to the spot account, then withdraw from the spot account. XT states that deposits, withdrawals and spot trading all take place in the spot account, and transfers between accounts arrive instantly with no on-chain fee.
What’s the cheapest way to move coins between two XT accounts?
Use an internal transfer and enter the recipient’s ID, email or phone number; XT states these are free and arrive instantly. An on-chain withdrawal on TRC20, for example, costs 1 USDT each time, and you have to withdraw at least 10 USDT. XT does not state whether a transfer to the wrong person can be reversed, so check the recipient’s details before you submit.
If you don’t have an XT account yet, sign-up and the referral code are in XT referral code; the identity verification steps are in the XT KYC guide, trading fees and VIP levels are in XT fees, its security record and reserves are in the XT review, and the security settings worth turning on before you withdraw are in exchange account security settings. For deposit and withdrawal guides for other exchanges, see how to deposit and withdraw on Gate, how to deposit and withdraw on MEXC and how to deposit and withdraw on Binance.
