Updated Rules checked 2026-10-21
OKX vs BingX, in short: pick OKX if you mainly buy and sell spot, care about proof of reserves updated every month, or move USDT in and out a lot; pick BingX if you hold 50,000 USDT or more in your account and trade mostly futures, want copy trading, or want a way to fix things if you forgot to enter a referral code. For regular users (VIP 0), USDT perpetual futures cost the same on both: Maker 0.02%, Taker 0.05%. On spot, OKX’s maker fee of 0.08% is lower than BingX’s 0.1%, and the taker fee is 0.1% on both.
Where they differ is the VIP upgrade thresholds and the referral code rules. On BingX, 50,000 USDT in assets on the previous day makes you VIP 1, which lowers the futures taker fee to 0.04%; OKX needs 100,000 USD in assets for VIP 1, where the futures taker fee is 0.045%. On referral codes, BingX lets you add one before your first deposit, and after depositing you can use “Identity Transfer” to move your KYC to an account registered with a new referral code; on OKX you can’t add one after the account is created, so the only options are a switching request, or reassignment after the account has been inactive for 180 days. BingX lists more products: 626 spot coins and 556 crypto perpetual contracts, against 444 and 287 on OKX.
On security records, BingX’s hot wallet was attacked on 2024-09-20; the security firm PeckShield estimated the loss at about 43 million USD, and BingX said it would cover it in full. For OKX we found no major public incident of platform wallets being stolen from (by this site’s inclusion criteria), but it halted withdrawals for about 41 days in 2020, and its operating entity pleaded guilty in the US on 2025-02-24. OKX publishes its reserves every month, and the latest report’s data time is 2026-10-03; the latest BingX report with a readable date is from 2026-07-15. Neither exchange’s restricted-regions list includes Taiwan, and neither offers a direct New Taiwan dollar (TWD) deposit channel.
Sign up for OKX with referral code KEVINWU and the exchange automatically refunds 20%, on both spot and futures, paid back directly by OKX.
Sign up for BingX with referral code KEVINWU and the exchange automatically refunds 45% of the fees you actually pay, on both spot and futures.
Key points:
1. At VIP 0, USDT perpetual futures are Maker 0.02% and Taker 0.05% on both; spot is 0.08%/0.1% on OKX and 0.1%/0.1% on BingX. Neither offers a platform-token fee discount.
2. With 50,000 USDT in assets on the previous day, BingX moves you up to VIP 1 with a futures taker fee of 0.04%; OKX needs 100,000 USD in assets for VIP 1 (0.045%).
3. Referral codes: OKX officially states that the invitee rebate ranges from 0% to 20%; you can’t add a code after sign-up, but you can submit a switching request. BingX referral codes created after 2023-03-01 have no time limit; you can add one before your first deposit, and after depositing you can use “Identity Transfer”.
4. Copy trading: BingX has perpetual futures, standard futures and spot copy trading; OKX has futures copy trading, plus 11 kinds of trading bots.
5. For sending USDT between the two, the cheapest network that works in both directions is Aptos: 0.0023 USDT out of OKX and 0.01 USDT out of BingX (2026-10-21). OKX has no BEP20.

Sources and dates: OKX’s spot fees and VIP thresholds were read from the OKX fee page on 2026-10-21, and futures fees for VIP 0 to VIP 2 come from the same page and the OKX trading fee FAQ (checked 2026-10-17); BingX’s fees come from the BingX fee page and the BingX perpetual futures fee schedule (2026-10-21), and its VIP thresholds and fees from the BingX VIP page (2026-10-21). Spot coins, contract counts and funding settings were counted from the instruments currently trading in both exchanges’ official public APIs on 2026-10-21 (OKX spot list, OKX contract list, OKX funding rates, BingX spot, BingX contract info, BingX funding rates), and they change as listings are added and removed; BingX’s TradFi contracts were counted by the NC prefix in their symbols. USDT withdrawal fees were read on 2026-10-21 from the OKX withdrawal fee page and the BingX deposit and withdrawal fee page. Sources for the other rows are given in the matching sections below.
How much do OKX and BingX fees differ?
Say someone trades 200,000 USDT of USDT perpetual futures and 20,000 USDT of spot each month, all at official fees. Neither exchange has a platform-token discount, so the table adds a column for BingX at VIP 1, reached through assets:
| Monthly fees (USDT) | OKX (VIP 0) | BingX (VIP 0) | BingX (VIP 1) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Futures 200,000, all Taker | 100 | 100 | 80 |
| Spot 20,000, all Taker | 20 | 20 | 12 |
| Total (all Taker) | 120 | 120 | 92 |
| Total (all switched to Maker) | 56 | 60 | 35 |
Sources and dates: both exchanges’ official fee pages (see the previous section), checked 2026-10-21; BingX VIP 1 is 0.014%/0.04% on futures and 0.035%/0.06% on spot.
The math is trade volume times the fee rate: futures 200,000 × 0.05% = 100 USDT, spot 20,000 × 0.1% = 20 USDT, so at VIP 0 both come to 120 USDT a month. With all maker orders, futures cost 200,000 × 0.02% = 40 USDT on both, while spot is 20,000 × 0.08% = 16 USDT on OKX and 20 USDT on BingX, so OKX costs 4 USDT less a month, and the whole difference comes from spot. Once BingX moves you to VIP 1, the total drops to 92 USDT, or 35 USDT with maker orders.
Both exchanges let you place maker-only orders: OKX calls it “Post only” and BingX calls it “Maker Only” (Post Only); the system cancels any order that would fill immediately. For details, see the difference between Maker and Taker fees. OKX also has “special rule pairs” with Maker 0.1% and Taker 0.15%, higher than standard pairs; the most reliable way to see which set applies to a pair is the “Fees” field on the order panel (OKX fee page).
Larger accounts: BingX is cheaper below 200,000, about even at 200,000
Both exchanges let you move up a VIP level through account assets. On OKX you qualify by meeting any one of assets, 30-day spot volume or futures volume, with no need to hold OKB, and assets have to reach 100,000 USD for VIP 1; BingX looks at your assets on the previous day, with 50,000 USDT for VIP 1 and 200,000 USDT for VIP 2. Applying the same example:
| Account assets | OKX level and monthly fees | BingX level and monthly fees |
|---|---|---|
| 50,000 | VIP 0: 120 USDT | VIP 1: 200,000 × 0.04% + 20,000 × 0.06% = 92 USDT |
| 100,000 | VIP 1: 200,000 × 0.045% + 20,000 × 0.08% = 106 USDT | VIP 1: 92 USDT |
| 200,000 | VIP 2: 200,000 × 0.036% + 20,000 × 0.07% = 86 USDT | VIP 2: 200,000 × 0.0375% + 20,000 × 0.05% = 85 USDT |
Sources and dates: same assumptions as above, all Taker. OKX’s asset thresholds (in USD) and spot fees were read on 2026-10-21, and its futures fees on 2026-10-17, from the OKX fee page; BingX’s thresholds (in USDT) and fees were read on 2026-10-21 from the BingX VIP page.
With assets between 50,000 and 200,000, BingX is 14 to 28 USDT cheaper a month. At 200,000, OKX VIP 2’s futures taker fee of 0.036% is lower than BingX VIP 2’s 0.0375%, but BingX is cheaper on spot, so the totals differ by only 1 USDT. If you’re already a VIP on another exchange, you can also upload proof to BingX and apply for a VIP+2 trial, once per person, for 30 days (BingX VIP page). The catch is that these assets have to stay on the exchange long term, and you need to weigh that risk yourself; for a full comparison of VIP thresholds across exchanges, see the exchange VIP level comparison.
With the same futures fees, how do the rebates compare?
A referral rebate pays back part of the fees you actually paid, so the fee after the rebate = official fee × (1 − rebate rate). At VIP 0 the futures taker fee is 0.05% on both, so they start from the same point, and whichever has the higher rebate rate ends up cheaper. OKX officially states that the invitee rebate ranges from 0% to 20%; at the 20% ceiling that is 0.05% × 0.8 = 0.04%, exactly the same as BingX VIP 1’s fee before any rebate. If you also get a rebate at BingX VIP 1, what you pay drops further.
Both calculators below use the official futures taker fee of 0.05%, and the rebate rates update in sync with the exchanges; enter the 200,000 USDT from the example above in each to see which is cheaper after the rebate.
Calculator: OKX futures (Taker 0.05%)
| Monthly volume | Fees (0.05%) | Auto rebate (20%) | Net fees |
|---|---|---|---|
| 10,000 USDT | 5 USDT | 1 USDT | 4 USDT |
| 100,000 USDT | 50 USDT | 10 USDT | 40 USDT |
| 1,000,000 USDT | 500 USDT | 100 USDT | 400 USDT |
Example at a futures fee rate of 0.05% and the current 20% automatic rebate (rate updated 2026-10-24). Your exchange statement prevails.
Sign up with this site’s OKX referral code and the exchange’s automatic rebate is 20%, on spot, futures and options. OKX has no platform-token discount, so the rebate is calculated directly on the net fees you actually pay.
Calculator: BingX futures (Taker 0.05%)
| Monthly volume | Fees (0.05%) | Auto rebate (45%) | Net fees |
|---|---|---|---|
| 10,000 USDT | 5 USDT | 2.25 USDT | 2.75 USDT |
| 100,000 USDT | 50 USDT | 22.5 USDT | 27.5 USDT |
| 1,000,000 USDT | 500 USDT | 225 USDT | 275 USDT |
Example at a futures fee rate of 0.05% and the current 45% automatic rebate (rate updated 2026-10-24). Your exchange statement prevails.
Sign up with this site’s BingX referral code and the exchange’s automatic rebate is 45%, calculated on the fees you actually pay after discounts; once you reach VIP 1 your fee rate drops, and so does the base the rebate is calculated on. Fees refunded by rebate vouchers and trades made with trial funds don’t count.
For the full fee schedules, VIP tables and withdrawal fees, see OKX fees and BingX fees; how futures costs are calculated is in how futures fees are calculated, and you can try your own numbers in the perpetual futures cost calculator.
How do OKX and BingX futures rules differ?
With the same fees, the futures differences lie in maximum leverage, maintenance margin, funding and liquidation rules:
| Item | OKX | BingX |
|---|---|---|
| Maximum BTC leverage | 100x (positions up to 1,000 contracts, i.e. 10 BTC) | 150x (positions up to 300,000 USDT); 125x from 300,000 to 7,500,000 |
| Other high-leverage contracts | ETH, SOL, XRP 100x | ETH 150x; SOL, DOGE 300x in tier 1 |
| BTC tier 1 maintenance margin rate | 0.4% | 0.1% |
| Funding settlement interval (crypto contracts) | 210 every 4 hours, 76 every 8 hours, 1 every 2 hours | 443 every 4 hours, 99 every 8 hours, 14 every 1 hour |
| Funding rate caps | BTC ±0.375%; 278 contracts at ±1% | BTC ±0.3%; 463 contracts at ±2% |
| When liquidated | A liquidation fee is charged at the taker rate, plus a position reduction fee; any negative balance from a loss beyond your margin is covered by the insurance fund, and you don’t bear it | The position is taken over at the bankruptcy price and its entire margin is lost; profit or loss is absorbed by the insurance fund |
| Liquidation trigger | Based on the mark price, not the last traded price | Dual price: liquidation happens only when both the mark price and the last traded price reach the estimated liquidation price |
| When the fund falls short | Auto-deleveraging (ADL) | Auto-deleveraging (ADL) |
Sources and dates: OKX’s leverage tiers and maintenance margin rates come from the OKX position tiers API, its leverage distribution and funding settings were read from the OKX contract list and funding rate APIs on 2026-10-21, and its liquidation rules are in the OKX liquidation FAQ; BingX’s leverage tiers and maintenance margin rates come from the BingX position and leverage page (2026-10-17), its funding settings were read from the BingX funding rate API on 2026-10-21, and its liquidation rules follow the BingX liquidation rules and the BingX dual-price liquidation explainer.
The gap between 150x and 100x only matters on major contracts like BTC and ETH, and the maximum only applies to the first position tier; among OKX’s 287 crypto contracts, the most common cap is 20x (158 contracts). What most people run into more often is funding: funding is paid between longs and shorts, neither exchange takes it, and it earns no rebate. On both exchanges, well over half of crypto contracts settle every 4 hours, so the same 0.01% rate is paid 6 times a day; holding a 10,000 USDT position for 3 days costs 18 USDT in funding, more than the 10 USDT it costs to open and close with taker orders. The caps differ more: most BingX contracts are at ±2%, so a 10,000 USDT position hitting the cap once pays 200 USDT; most OKX contracts are at ±1%. If you often hold small-cap contracts overnight, this matters more than the trading fee; for how it works, see what the funding rate is (OKX perpetual funding rules).
Leverage magnifies your position, and if the price moves against you, the position may be forcibly liquidated and you lose your margin. You can estimate the liquidation price with the liquidation price calculator; for the difference between cross and isolated margin, see cross vs isolated margin, and the steps for enabling futures and setting take-profit and stop-loss on each exchange are in the OKX futures guide and the BingX futures guide.
How do OKX and BingX referral rebate rules differ?
On both, the exchange pays the rebate directly to the invitee. The differences are the VIP limits and how you can fix a wrong or missing code:
| Rule | OKX | BingX |
|---|---|---|
| Calculation basis | Net fees | Trading fees the invitee actually pays after discounts |
| Markets covered | Spot, futures, options | Spot and futures |
| Duration | No term stated officially for the invitee rebate; the rebate rate is officially stated as ranging from 0% to 20% | Referral codes created after 2023-03-01 have no time limit |
| VIP limits | Monthly cap at VIP 5 and VIP 6; no rebate at VIP 7 or above | Not stated officially that it stops once you reach VIP |
| What earns no rebate | Fee-free assets; fees paid with rebate cards, futures trial funds or vouchers; special rates, market maker and broker accounts; funding | Zero-fee pairs, fees refunded by rebate vouchers, trades made with perpetual futures trial funds; funding |
| Checking the binding | “My rewards” in the app shows the rebate rate and rebate history | “My Referrer” in personal settings |
| Adding a referral code later | Can’t be added or changed once the account is created | If you haven’t deposited (including buying crypto) or invited any friends, you can add one under “My Referrer” |
| Changing referrers | Switching request: through an affiliate’s recall link or channel ID, automatic review, 30 days between requests, available only in some regions; or log in through a new affiliate’s link after 180 days of inactivity | Can’t be changed; “Identity Transfer” can move your Advanced KYC to an unverified account registered with a new referral code |
| Deleting the account and signing up again | OKX states that you can’t change attribution by deleting your account and signing up again | Each user may hold only one active account |
Sources and dates: OKX’s rules come from the OKX affiliate program rules (updated 2026-09-29), the OKX affiliate FAQ (updated 2026-09-15) and the OKX referral program FAQ, confirmed 2026-10-21; BingX’s rules come from the BingX rebate duration announcement, the BingX partner center guide, the BingX account settings FAQ and the BingX identity verification transfer guide, checked 2026-10-21.
If you already have an account, this is the row to look at. If you’ve just signed up and haven’t deposited, BingX lets you add a code directly; OKX doesn’t. If you’ve already deposited or traded: OKX lets you submit a switching request, but it’s only available in some regions and requests must be 30 days apart; the OKX affiliate FAQ also says channel attribution can’t be changed once assigned, which doesn’t match the switching process, so whether you can switch depends on the review result on the switching page. On BingX you can first register a new account with a new referral code, skip KYC on it, and then transfer your Advanced KYC over from the old account; the cost is that the old account goes back to unverified, can’t buy spot or open new positions, and its withdrawal limit drops to the unverified level, and neither account can transfer again for 180 days. For details, see the OKX referral code switching guide, the BingX identity verification transfer guide and how to check whether your referral code is bound; for how to weigh rebate cards and vouchers against rebates, see fee vouchers vs referral rebates.
Do OKX and BingX both require identity verification? What should users in Taiwan know?
Identity verification: both require verification before you can deposit and trade. OKX states that without completing identity verification you can’t deposit or withdraw crypto, trade, or buy and sell on C2C (OKX identity verification FAQ). BingX has only two levels, unverified and Advanced KYC: unverified accounts can’t deposit, trade or use fiat services, but can still withdraw 20,000 USDT per 24 hours, while Advanced KYC allows 5,000,000 USDT (BingX KYC levels explained). If you hold coins in an account you haven’t verified, you can still withdraw them on BingX, but on OKX you have to finish verification first. For the steps, see the OKX KYC verification guide and the BingX identity verification guide; for each exchange’s withdrawal limits, see the exchange withdrawal limit comparison.
Restricted regions: Taiwan is not among the restricted regions in the OKX risk and compliance disclosure (updated 2026-07-08), nor among the regions not accepted in the BingX disclaimer (updated 2023-12-11). Both restrict Canada and the United States (OKX restricts parts of the US and all its territories), and both restrict Hong Kong. OKX also restricts Japan, Malaysia and India, doesn’t support derivatives in Singapore, and restricts futures and P2P in South Korea and the UK; the regions BingX doesn’t accept also include the Netherlands, the UK, Macau, Singapore, mainland China, Panama and others. A country missing from the terms doesn’t mean you can use the exchange there: Thailand’s SEC has blocked OKX since 2025-06-28 (The Block). This BingX disclaimer is one of the older versions among the exchanges’ terms, so if you travel abroad often or have residency elsewhere, check the exchange restricted countries list first.
TWD deposits and withdrawals: neither has a direct New Taiwan dollar bank deposit. OKX announced on 2024-06-07 that from 2024-06-24 users in Taiwan could no longer buy and sell with TWD on C2C (OKX announcement on removing C2C trading in Taiwan); whether BingX P2P has TWD ads couldn’t be confirmed when we checked on 2026-10-11. The practical route is the same for both: buy USDT with TWD on a Taiwanese exchange (such as MAX or BitoPro), then transfer it to OKX or BingX, and to cash out to a Taiwanese bank account, do the same in reverse. OKX has no BEP20, so if you usually use BEP20 you’ll need to switch networks; for each network’s fees, see the USDT withdrawal fee comparison.
Apps: when we checked on 2026-10-21, both apps were available in the Taiwan App Store; the developer of the OKX app is OKX Inc., the developer of the BingX app is BingX Group Limited, and both interfaces are available in Traditional Chinese.
What is each of OKX and BingX good at?
OKX is strongest in trading bots, moving money in and out, and scale. Its spot maker fee is 0.08% without holding a platform token, you can check your referral binding yourself under “My rewards”, and several networks cost less than 0.02 USDT for sending USDT out; users hold about 143,000 BTC on the platform, and reserves are updated every month.
- Trading bots: OKX lists 11 strategies, including spot grid, futures grid, futures Martingale, DCA, arbitrage and signal bots; the signal bot can place orders automatically from TradingView signals (OKX trading bots overview).
- Copy trading: futures copy trading, with a profit share that depends on the trader’s level, calculated on net profit after trading fees, settled every Monday at 00:00 on the whole week’s net profit, with any excess refunded; copy trading fees are the same as regular futures (OKX lead trader profit-sharing rules, OKX copy trading FAQ). Check the trader’s page for the actual rate.
- Earn and more: the market rate for flexible USDT in Simple Earn was 3.5% on 2026-10-21; when we checked on 2026-10-13, OKX took 15% of the earnings (OKX Simple Earn). There are also options and a Web3 wallet where you hold the private keys yourself (What is OKX Web3 Wallet).
BingX is strongest in the range of copy trading and products. Besides perpetual futures, it offers standard futures copy trading and spot copy trading; standard futures simplify fees to a single 0.045% charge when you close, with a spread included in the fill price (BingX standard futures fee FAQ). It has 626 spot coins, more than OKX’s 444, and 439 TradFi contracts such as stocks, forex and commodities, against 212 stock and commodity contracts on OKX.
- Copy trading: public perpetual futures copy trading pays by trader level, Bronze 10%, Silver 16%, Gold 20% and Diamond 32%, private copy trading 0–50%, settled every Monday 00:00–00:15 (UTC+8); spot copy trading 10%, standard futures copy trading 8%–13% (BingX copy trading parameter table). The profit-share formula is “max[sum of net PnL of all positions in the period × profit share rate, 0]”, and position net PnL already has trading fees deducted (BingX futures copy trading 2.0 announcement).
- Trading bots: spot grid, spot infinity grid, futures grid, Martingale (BingX trading bots).
- Earn and more: flexible USDT pays 8.00% APR on the first 300 USDT and 1.00% above that (2026-10-13 snapshot, BingX Earn); there is also demo trading.
Copy trading has fees too. Copying a trader who makes 40 round trips a month with 1,000 USDT at 5x leverage, all Taker, costs 5,000 × 0.05% × 2 × 40 = 200 USDT on both. Both state that profit share is calculated on net profit after fees; neither states officially whether copy trading fees count toward referral rebates. For the full math, see the cost of copy trading; before picking a trader, read how to spot copy trading scams. For how grids work, see what grid trading is, and for a bot comparison, the exchange grid bot comparison; earn rates float, and the exchanges are compared in USDT flexible savings rates.
How do OKX and BingX proof of reserves and security records compare?
Both publish proof of reserves, and both offer tools that let you confirm your account was included, but they update on different schedules:
- OKX: published monthly and verified with zk-STARK. When read on 2026-10-21, the latest report’s data time was 2026-10-03 00:00 (UTC+8): users held 142,809.76 BTC and the platform 156,475.63 BTC, a surplus of 13,665.87 BTC; the ETH surplus was 4,688.60 ETH and the USDT surplus about 471 million USDT. About 3.97% of the platform’s BTC is held with third-party custodians, and that part can’t be checked on-chain yourself (OKX proof of reserves page).
- BingX: the latest report with a readable snapshot date is 2026-07-15, with BTC 142.82%, ETH 126.48% and USDT 131.83% (BingX press release, PR Newswire, 2026-07-30); it doesn’t publish the number of BTC users hold. The BingX reserves page says a Merkle tree is published monthly, with reports by Mazars and Hacken (2025); the page’s figures only appear after JavaScript runs, and they couldn’t be read when we checked on 2026-10-21.
OKX’s snapshot is more recent, and it also publishes how much users hold; BingX’s published reserve ratios have headroom, but as of 2026-10-21 it had gone 98 days without a new snapshot with a readable date. The major incidents for both:
- OKX’s 2020 withdrawal halt: OKX (then called OKEx) suspended withdrawals from 2020-10-16 because one of its private key holders was cooperating with a police investigation and couldn’t be reached (Decrypt); withdrawals resumed on 11-26, after about 41 days. OKX later set aside part of its futures and perpetual fee income as compensation rewards (OKX compensation announcement).
- BingX’s 2024-09-20 hot wallet attack: at around 04:00 (Singapore time) BingX detected abnormal network access, moved assets right away and paused withdrawals. BingX said the loss was “minor”, that it would cover it in full and that user assets were safe, but it didn’t publish a final figure; PeckShield estimated about 43 million USD (The Block). BingX’s chief product officer said it would compensate users in full with its own funds, and withdrawals then resumed in stages (Brave New Coin).
- OKX’s 2025-02-24 guilty plea: Aux Cayes FinTech, which operates OKX, admitted in the US to operating an unlicensed money transmitting business, with a fine of 84.4 million USD plus forfeiture of 420.3 million USD, more than 504 million USD in total (US Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York). This was a compliance case, not a loss of user assets. Elsewhere, the Philippine SEC named OKX among unregistered platforms in August 2025 (Cointelegraph), and Thailand’s SEC has blocked OKX since 2025-06-28.
- BingX’s regulatory record: by this site’s inclusion criteria (exchange announcements, major media, judicial and regulatory announcements), no major penalties were found as of 2026-10-12.
On protection mechanisms, OKX states that its security fund is not an insurance product and doesn’t guarantee compensation for any particular user’s losses (Understanding the OKX security fund); BingX’s Shield Fund is stated officially as over 150 million USD, self-funded by BingX (BingX Shield Fund). Proof of reserves only reflects assets at the moment of the snapshot and is not deposit insurance; coins you don’t plan to trade for a long time can go to a wallet you control yourself (see the crypto wallet beginner’s guide), and for protecting the account itself, see exchange account security settings. To compare the records of 13 exchanges side by side, see exchange safety records and the exchange proof of reserves comparison; the full details for each are in the OKX review and the BingX review.
What to watch when switching from OKX to BingX (or the other way)
Switching platforms means opening a new account on the other exchange and moving your assets over. We suggest this order:
- Register the new account first, entering the referral code on the sign-up page. If you’re moving to OKX, you can’t add a code after sign-up, so after opening the invitation link, finish signing up before you download the app; if you’re moving to BingX, you can still add one until you’ve deposited or invited any friends.
- Complete identity verification on the new account; both exchanges require verification before you can deposit and trade.
- On the old account, close positions, cancel orders, redeem earn products, stop copy trading and bots, transfer funds from the futures account back to the funding or spot account, and then withdraw USDT.
- On the receiving exchange’s deposit page, choose USDT and a network, and copy the deposit address specific to that network; on the sending exchange, choose the same network. The first time you send to a new address, send a small amount and confirm it arrives before sending a large one.
There is no internal transfer between the two, so USDT has to go through an on-chain withdrawal; the fee is a fixed amount per withdrawal, charged by the sending exchange. The table shows the 8 networks both exchanges listed on 2026-10-21, in USDT, with each cell showing “fee (minimum withdrawal)”:
| Network | Withdrawing from OKX to BingX | Withdrawing from BingX to OKX |
|---|---|---|
| Aptos | 0.0023 (minimum 2) | 0.01 (minimum 5) |
| Arbitrum One | 0.0032 (minimum 2) | 0.5 (minimum 0.5) |
| Polygon | 0.009 (minimum 2) | 0.8 (minimum 10) |
| Optimism | 0.015 (minimum 2) | 1 (minimum 1.1) |
| TON (Memo required) | 0.017 (minimum 2) | 0.017 (minimum 5) |
| Solana | 0.3 (minimum 2) | 1 (minimum 1) |
| ERC20 | 0.31 (minimum 2) | 1 (minimum 5) |
| TRC20 | 1.5 (minimum 10) | 1.5 (minimum 1.5) |
Sources and dates: data read on 2026-10-21 from the OKX withdrawal fee page and the BingX deposit and withdrawal fee page. OKX labels Arbitrum One and Polygon as USDT0, so before sending, check on the receiving side’s deposit page that the same network is open; both exchanges state that withdrawal fees change with on-chain conditions, so go by the amount shown on the withdrawal page before you confirm.
Out of OKX, the first 5 networks in the table all cost less than 0.02 USDT; out of BingX, the cheapest are Aptos at 0.01 USDT and TON at 0.017 USDT. Aptos works well in both directions. For a round trip, sending 1,000 USDT from OKX to BingX and back costs about 0.0123 USDT in total on Aptos, versus 3 USDT if both legs use TRC20. BingX’s BEP20 costs 0.15 USDT, but OKX has no BEP20, so that route isn’t available. Choose a network that matches on both sides, because the wrong one can mean lost funds; if it happens, see what to do if you sent crypto on the wrong network. For the full fees of every network across 13 exchanges, see the USDT withdrawal fee comparison. Referral rebates only refund trading fees, not withdrawal fees.
Who are OKX and BingX best for?
- Beginners who mainly buy major coins on spot: choose OKX. You don’t need to hold a platform token, the spot maker fee is 0.08%, lower than BingX’s 0.1% at VIP 0, you can confirm whether your referral code is bound under “My rewards”, and reserves are updated every month.
- Mainly futures, with 50,000 USDT or more in the account: choose BingX. At VIP 1 the futures taker fee is 0.04%, so 200,000 USDT of futures plus 20,000 of spot a month costs 92 USDT; OKX stays at VIP 0 below 100,000 USD and costs 120 USDT. With assets of 200,000 or more, the two differ by only 1 USDT, so look at other factors.
- You want copy trading: choose BingX. It has perpetual futures, standard futures and spot copy trading, profit share is calculated on net profit after fees, and trader levels and profit-share rates are all published in its parameter table; OKX only has futures copy trading.
- You want trading bots or automatic orders from TradingView signals: choose OKX. It lists 11 strategies, including the signal bot; BingX has 4, grids and Martingale.
- You often hold small-cap contracts overnight: choose OKX. Most of its contracts have a funding rate cap of ±1%, against ±2% for most on BingX; when the cap is hit, a single funding payment is only half of BingX’s.
- Already registered and deposited, but no referral code entered: on BingX you can handle it yourself, using “Identity Transfer” to move your KYC to a new account registered with a referral code; on OKX you have to submit a switching request, which is only available in some regions, and the outcome depends on the review.
Plenty of people open both: spot and trading bots on OKX, copy trading or futures on BingX once their assets are larger, which also spreads the risk of a single platform pausing withdrawals. Sending USDT between them on Aptos costs about 0.0123 USDT for a round trip. You need to complete identity verification separately on each, and enter the referral code at sign-up on each.
How we checked the data in this article
OKX’s spot and VIP fees, both exchanges’ VIP 0 fees and BingX’s VIP thresholds, USDT withdrawal fees, and both exchanges’ spot coins, contract counts, funding intervals and caps are all figures read from official pages and public APIs on 2026-10-21; OKX’s futures VIP fees and BingX’s leverage tiers are from 2026-10-17; the referral code and switching rules were compared against both exchanges’ official help centers on 2026-10-21; reserves come from each exchange’s most recent published data; earn rates are snapshots from 2026-10-13 and 2026-10-21, and BingX P2P was checked on 2026-10-11; incidents were cross-checked against official announcements, judicial press releases and news reports. How this site compiles its data is described in how we compile rebate data, and the disclosure for referral links is in referral and rebate disclosure.
FAQ
Which has lower fees, OKX or BingX?
At VIP 0, futures fees are the same on both, and OKX’s spot maker fee is lower. USDT perpetual futures are Maker 0.02% and Taker 0.05% on both; spot is 0.08%/0.1% on OKX and 0.1%/0.1% on BingX. With 50,000 USDT or more in assets, BingX moves you to VIP 1 with a futures taker fee of 0.04%: for 200,000 USDT of futures plus 20,000 USDT of spot a month, all Taker, BingX costs 92 USDT and OKX at VIP 0 costs 120 USDT.
Can I use OKX and BingX at the same time?
Yes. OKX and BingX are different companies, so you just register and complete identity verification on each. The limits apply within a single exchange: on OKX you can’t delete your account and sign up again to change referrers, and on BingX each user may hold only one active account. Enter the referral code at sign-up on each; to send USDT between them, use Aptos, which costs 0.0023 USDT out of OKX and 0.01 USDT out of BingX (2026-10-21).
Should users in Taiwan pick OKX or BingX?
Conditions for use in Taiwan are about the same on both, so it comes down to how you trade: OKX if you mainly trade spot or use trading bots, BingX if you mainly trade futures with 50,000 USDT or more in assets, or copy trade. Taiwan isn’t on either exchange’s restricted-regions list, both apps are in the Taiwan App Store, and neither has TWD deposits; on both, you deposit by first buying USDT with TWD on a Taiwanese exchange and then transferring it over. OKX has no BEP20, so for transfers you’ll need to use networks such as Aptos or TON instead.
Which is safer, OKX or BingX?
Neither can be called absolutely safe; their records are of different kinds. BingX’s hot wallet was attacked on 2024-09-20, PeckShield estimated about 43 million USD, and BingX said it would cover it in full; for OKX we found no major public incident of platform wallets being stolen from, but it halted withdrawals for about 41 days in 2020, and its operating entity pleaded guilty in the US on 2025-02-24. On reserves, OKX publishes monthly, and in the report with data time 2026-10-03, platform holdings of BTC, ETH and USDT all exceeded user assets; the latest BingX report with a readable date is from 2026-07-15, with BTC at 142.82%.
Which referral code gives a bigger rebate?
For the current rates, see the comparison table and calculators above, which show them in sync with the exchanges. At VIP 0 the futures taker fee is 0.05% on both, so whichever has the higher rebate rate is cheaper after the rebate. On the rules, OKX officially states that the invitee rebate ranges from 0% to 20%, with no rebate at VIP 7 or above; BingX referral codes created after 2023-03-01 have no time limit. Even at OKX’s 20% ceiling, the 0.04% you pay only matches BingX VIP 1’s fee before any rebate.
I’ve already signed up. Can I still add or change a referral code?
On BingX, yes; on OKX, you can only apply for a switch. On BingX, if you haven’t deposited or invited any friends, you can add one under “My Referrer”; if you’ve already deposited or are already bound, you can register a new account with a new referral code, skip KYC on it, and then use “Identity Transfer” to move the old account’s Advanced KYC over, after which the old account goes back to unverified. On OKX you can’t add a code after the account is created; you can submit a switching request through an affiliate’s recall link or channel ID, which is reviewed automatically, requires 30 days between requests and is only available in some regions; or, after the account has been inactive for 180 days, log in through a new affiliate’s link.
Which is better for copy trading, OKX or BingX?
If you want more kinds of copy trading, choose BingX; futures copy trading fees are the same on both. BingX has perpetual futures, standard futures and spot copy trading, with a perpetual futures profit share of 10%–32% by trader level and 0–50% for private copy trading; OKX has futures copy trading, with a profit share that depends on the trader’s level, so check the trader’s page for the actual rate. Both state that profit share is calculated on net profit after fees, and the futures copy trading taker fee is 0.05% on both.
Which network should I use to send USDT from OKX to BingX?
Aptos is the easiest: 0.0023 USDT out of OKX, and 0.01 USDT in the other direction out of BingX (2026-10-21). OKX has no BEP20; TRC20 costs 1.5 USDT on both, so it’s best avoided. For small amounts, watch the minimum withdrawal: at least 2 USDT on OKX Aptos and at least 5 USDT on BingX Aptos. Before sending, confirm that the receiving side’s deposit page has the same network open.
To sign up directly, see the OKX referral code and the BingX referral code; fee details are in OKX fees and BingX fees; if you already have an account, the switching rules are in the OKX referral code switching guide and the BingX identity verification transfer guide. Each exchange’s actual fees after the referral rebate are compiled in actual fees after referral rebates, which exchange has the lowest fees is in the low-fee exchange comparison, and how much you can save in a year is in how much a referral rebate can save you; for referral codes and rebates on other exchanges, see the exchange referral code roundup.
