How to Deposit and Withdraw on Binance: USDT Networks and Fees (2026)

Updated Rules checked 2026-10-22

The most common way to deposit on Binance is to buy USDT on another platform first, or buy crypto on Binance through P2P or with a card, then go to the [Deposit] page and pick a network that both sides support. To withdraw, go to the [Withdraw] page and send the coins to your own wallet or to another exchange. Binance charges no fee on crypto deposits. Withdrawals carry a fixed network fee per transaction: USDT costs 0.01 USDT per withdrawal on BEP20 and 1.5 USDT on TRC20.

Two things actually make money disappear: picking the wrong network, or leaving out the Memo/Tag on a coin that needs one. Binance’s withdrawal guide states that if you choose a network the recipient does not support, the funds may be lost and cannot be recovered. Also, since 2026-09-29 the Binance Funding Account no longer accepts on-chain deposits, and deposits go to the Spot Account instead. Binance’s own deposit guide still said you could choose the Funding Account on the check date, so following older tutorials is easy to get confused by.

Key points:
1. Binance charges no fee on crypto deposits: in its official public data, the deposit fee is 0 for all 1,438 coin and network combinations. On 2026-10-22 the USDT withdrawal fee was 0.01 USDT on BEP20, 1.5 USDT on TRC20 and 0.6 USDT on ERC20, with minimum withdrawals of 3 to 5 USDT.
2. According to Binance’s 2026-09-23 announcement, from 2026-09-29 the Funding Account no longer supports on-chain deposits. Crypto in the Funding Account will be moved to the Spot Account in batches, and the Funding Account is expected to be renamed the Stock Account in January 2027.
3. All new users must complete identity verification at the “Verified” level before they can deposit and trade; older accounts that have not been verified are switched to “withdrawal only”.
4. After security changes such as a password change, Binance suspends withdrawals for 24 to 48 hours. After a 2FA reset, withdrawals, C2C selling, internal transfers and Pay are suspended for up to 48 hours, and the hold cannot be lifted early.
5. Binance states that a TxID is usually generated 1 to 30 minutes after a withdrawal is submitted. Only if there is still no TxID after 6 hours do you need to contact customer support with a screenshot of the withdrawal record.

The information below was checked against official pages on 2026-10-22 (the check date) and is provided for reference.

How do you deposit crypto on Binance?

Your account has to finish identity verification before you can deposit. Binance’s identity verification guide (updated 2026-07-02) states that all new users must complete the “Verified” level to use crypto deposits and trading. For the verification steps, see the Binance KYC guide.

The steps for the website and the app are below. Button names follow Binance’s deposit guide:

  1. On the website, click [Deposit] → [Deposit Crypto]; in the app, tap [Deposit] → [Deposit Crypto].
  2. Choose the coin to deposit, for example USDT.
  3. Choose the network. It has to be one that the sending side also supports: if the other platform can only send on TRC20, pick Tron (TRC20) here. Binance states that you should not simply pick the option with the lowest fee.
  4. Copy the deposit address (or save the QR code) and paste it into the withdrawal address field on the sending platform. If the screen shows a Memo/Tag, fill in both.
  5. Wait for the blockchain confirmations. Once credited, you can check the deposit status under [Orders] → [Transaction History].

Which coins need a Memo/Tag?

Binance’s deposit guide explains that a Memo is a unique identifier assigned to each account; you need it when depositing coins such as XRP, XLM, ATOM and EOS so the funds reach the right account. Whether you need one depends on the network. Binance’s public network data on 2026-10-22 shows that XRP (XRP Ledger) needs a Tag, and XLM, ATOM and USDT on TON need a MEMO; USDT on TRC20, ERC20, BEP20 and Solana needs neither. How to recover a deposit with a missing or wrong Memo, and what it costs, is covered in how to recover a wrong-network deposit or missing Memo.

Which account do deposits go to? Can you still use the Funding Account?

Deposits now go to the Spot Account. Binance’s Funding Account renaming announcement (published 2026-09-23, updated 09-29) states that from 2026-09-29 the Funding Account no longer supports on-chain deposits. Crypto in the Funding Account will be moved to the Spot Account in batches, with the migration expected to run until January 2027. After that the Funding Account will be renamed the “Stock Account” and will keep only six settlement assets: USD, USDC, USDT, USD1, U and BNB. Assets received through Binance Pay have also gone to the Spot Account since 2026-09-29.

Binance’s deposit guide still says you can choose “Spot Wallet or Funding Account”. That is old content (the page shows a date of 2018-01-04), so I go by the newer announcement. The migration FAQ adds that the Stock Account does not support direct on-chain deposits or withdrawals; USDT held there has to be moved to the Spot Account by internal transfer before you can withdraw it. If you do not want to wait for the automatic migration, you can use the “one-click migration” button in the Funding Account; in the app it only appears after you update to the latest version.

To trade futures, you need one more transfer from the Spot Account. Binance’s guide to transferring to the futures wallet (updated 2026-01-14) gives the path as [Assets] → [Transfer] at the bottom right of the futures trading screen. USDⓈ-M and COIN-M futures do not share a wallet, so you transfer to each separately. Futures use leverage: if the price moves against you, your position may be liquidated and you lose the margin.

How many confirmations does a deposit need? What is the minimum deposit?

In Binance’s public network data on 2026-10-22, USDT deposits on TRC20, BEP20, Solana and TON are credited after just 1 network confirmation, ERC20 needs 6, Arbitrum One needs 120 and Polygon needs 200. Binance’s guide to uncredited deposits states that a deposit below the minimum deposit amount will not be credited, and the minimum is shown on the [Deposit Crypto] page; deposits are also suspended during wallet maintenance. Terms such as Memo, network and confirmations are explained in crypto deposit, withdrawal and transfer terms explained.

No crypto yet? What fiat deposit options does Binance offer?

I found two methods listed in the Binance Help Center. Whether you can use them depends on your region, your verification level and your payment method:

  • Buying with a card: on the website, click [Buy Crypto] and choose [Card (VISA/Mastercard)] as the payment method. Binance’s guide to buying crypto with a card (updated 2025-03-10) states that Visa and Mastercard credit and debit cards are supported, as well as Apple Pay and Google Pay, and an account can link up to 5 cards. The guide also notes that some banks treat crypto purchases as cash-like payments and charge an extra fee. How the two layers of card fees add up is explained in credit card crypto purchase fees.
  • P2P (Binance calls it C2C): buy USDT directly from other users and choose the fiat currency, price and payment method yourself. According to the migration announcement above, from 2026-09-29 regular C2C users who update the app to the latest version will have their buy and sell orders use Spot Account funds by default. For the process and anti-fraud tips, see the P2P crypto buying guide.

How do you withdraw USDT from Binance?

The steps follow Binance’s withdrawal guide (updated 2026-10-05):

  1. Website: [Assets] → [Overview] → [Withdraw], then choose the coin. App: [More] → [Pay] → [Send], then choose which account to send from and which asset to send.
  2. Paste the recipient address, or pick a saved address from the Address Book. The website selects the network automatically based on the address, but you still need to check it yourself; if the recipient’s deposit page shows a Memo, fill that in too.
  3. Enter the amount. You can choose “Receive amount” (the recipient gets exactly this amount and the fee is added on top), or enter the total withdrawal amount and have the fee deducted from it.
  4. The first withdrawal to a new address triggers a security prompt, and Binance recommends sending a small test amount first. After confirming the address and network, complete verification with a passkey or two-factor authentication (2FA).
  5. Check the status under [Orders] → [Asset History] → [Withdraw]. Once it shows “Completed”, you can click the TxID to look it up on a block explorer.

What are the USDT withdrawal fees and minimums?

Binance offers USDT on 19 networks in total; the table below lists the commonly used ones. The fee is a fixed amount per withdrawal, regardless of how much you withdraw:

Source: Binance deposit and withdrawal fees page, retrieved 2026-10-22 (Taiwan time). The page loads with JavaScript, so I read the official public data that the page itself calls. The same data lists the USDT deposit fee as 0. Networks not in the table can also be found on the fee page, for example Avalanche C-Chain and Optimism at 0.04 USDT each and Kaia at 0.02 USDT.

These numbers change quickly. Binance’s withdrawal fee guide states that withdrawal fees are adjusted to network conditions without prior notice, and minimum withdrawals change too. For ERC20, this site recorded 0.5, 0.4 and 0.6 USDT on 10-12, 10-17 and 10-21 respectively. Before you submit, go by the number shown on the withdrawal page.

Small withdrawals show the gap most clearly. On a 20 USDT withdrawal, the 1.5 USDT TRC20 fee is 7.5%, while the 0.01 USDT BEP20 fee is only 0.05%. Even on 1,000 USDT, TRC20 costs 1.49 USDT more than BEP20. That said, the network depends on what the recipient supports: if the recipient only accepts TRC20, TRC20 is your only option. USDT fees at 13 exchanges are compared in USDT withdrawal fees compared, and daily withdrawal limits in exchange withdrawal limits compared. Binance does not publish a daily limit in its help articles; it asks users to check the [Account] → [Identification] page.

How do you set up the Address Book and Withdrawal Whitelist?

Binance’s withdrawal settings guide (last updated 2025-03-03) gives this path: hover over the profile icon → [Settings] → [Withdrawal]. Under [Address Management], click [Add] → [Add Address], enter an address label, choose the coin and network (you can also save it as a universal address for that network), tick [Add address to whitelist], then save and complete 2FA. Once [Withdrawal Whitelist] is turned on, you can only withdraw to whitelisted addresses, and the whitelist holds up to 200 addresses.

Watch out for two timings. Changing the whitelist may suspend withdrawals for 24, 48 or 72 hours, and so may turning the whitelist off. You can also turn on a [whitelist withdrawal restriction period], so newly added addresses have to wait a while before you can withdraw to them, which gives you an extra buffer if your account is compromised. Other security settings (anti-phishing code, passkeys, API permissions) are covered in exchange account security settings.

Is there a fee to send to another Binance user?

A transfer to another Binance account does not go through the blockchain, so you do not choose a network. On the website, click [Binance user] on the withdrawal page, choose [Email], [Phone] or [Binance ID] and enter the recipient’s details; the page shows the transaction fee and the amount the recipient actually receives. The fee rules are on Binance’s Pay fee page (updated 2026-01-08): when you use “Send Cash” to pay an individual, a fixed fee applies in “certain regions”: 0.5 USD for a single transfer under 100 USD and 1 USD for 100 USD or more. Which regions this covers is not officially stated; go by what the send page shows. To find your Binance ID, see what an exchange UID is.

How long does a Binance withdrawal take to arrive?

Binance’s guide to withdrawals that have not arrived (updated 2026-08-27) splits a withdrawal into three stages: Binance processes the request, the blockchain confirms it, and the receiving platform credits it. After Binance sends it, a TxID is usually generated within 1 to 30 minutes. The typical single-block confirmation times Binance lists are about 10 to 60 minutes for BTC, about 5 minutes for ETH, about 3 minutes for BNB and about 3 minutes for TRON, and longer when the network is congested. The recipient also waits for its own required number of confirmations before crediting the funds, so the total time is not officially stated as a fixed number.

If the block explorer shows the transaction as confirmed but the recipient has not credited it, take the TxID to the receiving platform; Binance states that it can no longer help at that point. If there is still no TxID after 6 hours, contact Binance customer support with a screenshot of the withdrawal record.

What should you do if a Binance withdrawal is stuck or fails?

First work out which kind of restriction it is. I have put the cases described in the Binance Help Center into the table below:

SituationRestriction and durationWhat to doOfficial source
After security changes such as a password changeWithdrawals suspended for 24 to 48 hours; cannot be lifted earlyWait for it to resume automaticallyReactivating withdrawals
Resetting the 2FA deviceReview of the reset request takes up to 24 hours; after the reset, withdrawals, C2C selling, internal transfers and Pay are suspended for up to 48 hoursWait for the period to end2FA reset guide (updated 2026-06-03)
After an account is unlockedNo withdrawals or C2C trading for up to 48 hoursWait for the period to endAccount unlock guide (updated 2026-04-13)
Changing or turning off the Withdrawal WhitelistWithdrawals may be suspended for 24, 48 or 72 hoursWait for the period to endWithdrawal settings guide
System detects unusual activity (T+2)All withdrawal-related functions disabled for 48 hours; the account may also go under review, or, because of fraud risk, you may be asked to fill in an anti-fraud questionnaire or be given a cooling-off periodWait for a notice; if identity verification is needed, follow the prompts, and if it fails, use [Withdrawal Appeal]T+1 and T+2 guide, Reactivating withdrawals
C2C buy orders completed with fiat such as EUR or TWD (T+1)Some purchased assets cannot be withdrawn for 24 hours (except TWD cash payments), and the hold cannot be lifted early; CNY, UAH, KZT and others have separate rulesWait 24 hours for automatic releaseT+1 and T+2 guide
Identity verification not completedNew users cannot deposit; older accounts are “withdrawal only”Complete the “Verified” levelIdentity verification guide
Wallet maintenanceDeposits and withdrawals suspended for that coin or networkWait for maintenance to end, or use another networkUncredited deposits guide

Sources are in the last column of the table, checked on 2026-10-22. The “Reactivating withdrawals” article is an old one published on 2020-01-08, so for the 24 to 48 hours, go by what your account screen shows.

The table lets you work out the worst case: if you lose your authenticator and request a reset, the review takes up to 24 hours, and after the reset withdrawals stop for up to another 48 hours, so you could be unable to withdraw for up to 72 hours in total. If you must withdraw on a particular day, it is best to finish changing security settings and the whitelist 3 days ahead. For the full process when your account is restricted and you need to appeal, see what to do if your exchange account is frozen.

Binance’s withdrawal fees are only shown on the withdrawal page and deducted from your account, and every restriction period lifts automatically when its countdown ends. Anyone who says you must first pay an “unfreezing fee”, a “deposit” or “taxes” before they can process your withdrawal is running a scam. Common tactics are covered in fake exchange withdrawal scams; in Taiwan, you can call the 165 anti-fraud hotline to check.

FAQ

Does Binance charge a deposit fee?

Binance charges no fee on crypto deposits. In its official public data on 2026-10-22, the deposit fee was 0 for all 984 coins and 1,438 coin and network combinations. What you do pay is the withdrawal fee on the sending side: if you move USDT in from another exchange, that exchange charges it. Buying crypto with a card carries Binance’s own fee plus any fee your bank may charge.

Which network is cheapest for withdrawing USDT from Binance?

On 2026-10-22 the cheapest network for Binance USDT withdrawals was BEP20, at 0.01 USDT per withdrawal with a 5 USDT minimum. TRC20 was 1.5 USDT and ERC20 0.6 USDT. This assumes the recipient supports the same network, so check the recipient’s deposit page first and choose from the networks you have in common.

Can you still deposit to the Binance Funding Account?

Not on-chain. Binance announced that from 2026-09-29 the Funding Account no longer supports on-chain deposits, and deposits go to the Spot Account. The Funding Account can only receive the six settlement assets USD, USDC, USDT, USD1, U and BNB by internal transfer from other Binance accounts. Assets in the Funding Account will be moved to the Spot Account in batches before January 2027, or you can move them yourself first with “one-click migration”.

How long do Binance withdrawals take?

Binance states that a TxID is usually generated within 1 to 30 minutes after a withdrawal is submitted. After that, the time depends on the blockchain and on the number of confirmations the recipient requires; no fixed total time is officially stated. If there is still no TxID after 6 hours, contact customer support with a screenshot of the withdrawal record.

How long after changing my Binance password can I withdraw?

Binance says that after security changes such as a password change, withdrawals are suspended for 24 to 48 hours and cannot be unlocked early. If you reset your 2FA device, withdrawals, C2C selling, internal transfers and Pay stop for up to 48 hours, on top of a review that takes up to 24 hours.

Is there a fee to send crypto to a friend on Binance?

Transfers to other Binance users do not go through the blockchain, so there is no network fee. However, Binance’s Pay fee page states that in “certain regions”, using Send Cash to pay an individual costs 0.5 USD for a single transfer under 100 USD and 1 USD for 100 USD or more. Whether you are actually charged is shown on the send page.

What is the minimum withdrawal on Binance?

On 2026-10-22 the minimum USDT withdrawal on Binance was 3 or 5 USDT, depending on the network: 5 USDT on TRC20, BEP20 and Solana, and 3 USDT on ERC20, TON, Aptos and Arbitrum One. Minimums are adjusted, so go by the withdrawal page. Binance does not publish a daily withdrawal limit in its help articles; you need to check the [Account] → [Identification] page.

If I pick the wrong network or forget the Memo, can I get the money back?

It depends on whose address the coins ended up at. If you left out the Memo when depositing to Binance, you can apply for self-service recovery on the Binance website (steps and fees in how to recover a wrong-network deposit or missing Memo). If you withdrew from Binance on the wrong network or to the wrong address, Binance states that it cannot help, and you need to contact the receiving platform. Binance’s guide states that if you pick the wrong network, the funds may be lost and cannot be recovered, so send a small test amount the first time you use a new address.

If you do not have a Binance account yet, sign-up steps and the referral code are in Binance referral code. Identity verification steps are in the Binance KYC guide, trading fees in Binance fees, and reserves and security record in the Binance review. Before you start moving coins, it is also worth setting up 2FA and the whitelist with exchange account security settings. For other exchanges’ deposit and withdrawal steps, see the OKX deposit and withdrawal guide and the Bitget deposit and withdrawal guide.
