Does a Bybit Referral Code Give a Rebate? 0% from the Exchange, Fee Rebates with Fee Otter’s Sign-Up Code (2026)

Updated Rules checked 2026-10-11

Bybit works differently from most exchanges: if you sign up with a referral code, the exchange doesn’t automatically refund any of your fees. To get part of your Bybit fees back, the current route is a fee rebate site. Sign up with Fee Otter‘s Bybit sign-up code and bind your UID, and Fee Otter separately pays you back part of the fees you pay, at the rate shown on Fee Otter’s page. This guide covers Bybit’s official rules, how Fee Otter calculates and pays the rebate, and what you can do if you already have an account.

Fee Otter extra rebate40%

Bybit has no automatic exchange rebate. This extra rebate is paid by Fee Otter, not by the exchange and not by Kevin Wu; the rate is whatever Fee Otter's page shows (checked 2026-10-22).

Does a Bybit referral code come with a fee rebate?

Bybit’s referral program FAQ says the referrer earns commission on the invitee’s trading fees for 365 days. The invitee gets task rewards and a new-user gift; nothing says the invitee receives a share of the fees as a rebate (Bybit referral program FAQ). That is why the exchange referral code overview on this site lists Bybit’s automatic fee rebate as 0%.

How do you get fees back with Fee Otter’s Bybit sign-up code?

Fee Otter is a Bybit affiliate. Sign up with its Bybit sign-up code, then bind your UID on Fee Otter, and Fee Otter credits a share of the trading fees you pay to your Fee Otter account, at the rate shown on Fee Otter’s page. According to Fee Otter’s rebate page, the whole Bybit rebate is Fee Otter’s extra rebate, with no automatic fee rebate from the exchange underneath it (checked 2026-10-11).

  1. Sign up through Fee Otter’s Bybit link, partner.bybit.com/b/FEEOTTER. The sign-up code is FEEOTTER; check the field before you submit.
  2. Complete Bybit’s identity verification and copy your UID.
  3. Sign up for Fee Otter and bind your Bybit UID on the member page. Binding needs only your UID, never your password or an API key.
  4. Once you start trading, rebates usually show up in your Fee Otter history after the exchange’s daily report is imported (the next day).

How is Fee Otter’s Bybit rebate calculated and paid?

The rebate is based on the fees you actually pay, not the trade amount. It’s the fee multiplied by Fee Otter’s rebate rate, at the rate shown on Fee Otter’s page: for example, if you pay 100 USDT in fees on Bybit in a month and the rate is 10%, you get 10 USDT (the 10% is only an example). The money is held in your Fee Otter account, not your Bybit account.

  • Settlement: Fee Otter settles daily, and the figures on the member page update at 16:00 (UTC+8) every day. Only trades that actually incurred a fee count, and sub-account fees are counted under the main account’s UID.
  • Payout: only as an on-chain USDT transfer (BNB Smart Chain, BEP20) to your own address, with a minimum of 1 USDT per withdrawal and a 0.015 USDT network fee that you pay. Fee Otter charges no service fee.
  • Processing time and limits: once a request passes Fee Otter’s risk checks, it is paid on-chain; Fee Otter does not state a fixed processing time. The number of withdrawals is unlimited, but only one can be pending at a time, so the previous one has to be paid before you request the next.

The above is based on Fee Otter’s rebate page, terms of service and settlement notes (checked 2026-10-11; withdrawal rules per the terms effective 2026-10-13 and the rebate page, checked 2026-10-22); Fee Otter’s current pages take precedence.

If you already have a Bybit account

Signed up less than 14 days ago: Bybit lets you manually add an affiliate’s code within 14 days of sign-up, provided it’s a main account, it has no referrer or affiliate code yet, and it isn’t a market maker or institutional account. Regular users’ referral codes can’t be added this way. Go to Profile → Account → Account Info → “Join an Affiliate’s Community”, enter the affiliate code and a reason, and submit. If you don’t see this option, your account doesn’t qualify. Once added, the code can’t be removed or changed (Bybit guide to adding an affiliate code). Fee Otter’s instructions state that this field accepts numbers only, so you enter Fee Otter’s affiliate ID 163627, not the sign-up code FEEOTTER.

More than 14 days, or you already have a referrer: Bybit has no feature that lets users change their own referrer. Bybit’s affiliate terms say that users who registered after 2025-09-01 and trade less than 1 USD over 180 consecutive days are treated as inactive; if they then come back and trade through another affiliate’s link, they count under that affiliate (Bybit affiliate terms, section 7.7). More detail is in the guide to switching referral codes.

Bybit sign-up bonuses (new-user tasks, trial funds) vs the referral code rebate: what’s the difference?

Bybit’s new-user tasks, trial funds and vouchers are one-off campaigns: you usually have to complete identity verification, a deposit or a trading-volume task to get them, the amounts and conditions change with each campaign, and they expire, so the campaign page and its terms are what count. Bybit itself gives invitees no referral-code rebate; Fee Otter’s rebate is paid separately, after you link your UID with Fee Otter, on the trading fees you actually pay. The two are separate, so you don’t have to choose between them.

Bybit’s referral program gives invitees task rewards and a new-user gift. The Derivatives Bonus and Trading Fee Savers in the Rewards Hub both have expiry dates, and anything unused by then isn’t reissued (Bybit Rewards Hub FAQ, checked 2026-10-12); the bonus itself can’t be withdrawn. Fee Otter’s rebate comes from Bybit affiliate commission, and the commission base already excludes Bonuses/Coupons, so fees covered by a bonus don’t earn this rebate either. The rebate is paid by Fee Otter, not the exchange and not Kevin Wu, at the rate shown on Fee Otter’s page. For the full comparison, see fee vouchers vs referral code rebates.

Where doesn’t Fee Otter’s Bybit rebate apply?

Bybit’s affiliate terms state that Bybit doesn’t provide services in places including the United States, Hong Kong, Singapore, China, Canada, France, the United Kingdom, North Korea, Cuba, Iran, Uzbekistan, the Russian-controlled regions of Ukraine, Sudan and Syria. For referred users in European Economic Area countries, Hong Kong and, from 2026-07-01, Australia, no commission is paid, and commission already paid can be clawed back. A rebate site’s extra rebate comes out of that commission, so users in these regions can’t get it either (sections 11.2 and 11.3).

What are the risks of getting a Bybit rebate through Fee Otter?

  • This rebate is paid by Fee Otter, not Bybit, and not Kevin Wu. Fee Otter is an overseas third party; it may change its rate or rules, and it may also shut down.
  • Commission may be cancelled on trades Bybit judges to break its terms, such as wash trading or self-referral. Fee Otter’s terms state that when an exchange claws back commission, Fee Otter can also claw back rebates it has paid.
  • Binding needs only your UID. Never give anyone who asks for your password, a verification code or an API key; see how to spot a rebate scam.

FAQ

Why doesn’t a Bybit referral code come with an automatic rebate?

In Bybit’s referral program, the referrer earns commission and the invitee earns task rewards; Bybit didn’t build a way for invitees to share in the fees as a rebate. So to get fees back on Bybit, you need an affiliate that pays the rebate separately.

Is Fee Otter’s Bybit rebate the same for spot and futures?

According to Fee Otter’s Bybit page (data from September 2026), spot and futures have the same rate. The rate may change; the figure shown on Fee Otter’s page is what counts.

How can I confirm my account is under Fee Otter?

Bybit’s Account Info page shows the bound affiliate code, but some affiliates’ IDs are hidden by privacy settings. The most direct way is to bind your UID on Fee Otter: if it’s approved, your account is under Fee Otter.

Can I still add a referral code after signing up for Bybit?

Within 14 days of sign-up, yes, but only an affiliate’s code; regular users’ referral codes can’t be added. The account must be a main account, must not have any referrer or affiliate code yet, and must not be a market maker or institutional account. To add Fee Otter, enter its affiliate ID 163627, not the sign-up code FEEOTTER. After 14 days, or if you already have a referrer, Bybit has no feature that lets users change their own referrer; for what you can do, see the guide to switching referral codes.

How long does the Bybit rebate take to arrive?

Fee Otter’s rebates usually appear in its history the day after the trade, and the figures on the member page update at 16:00 (UTC+8) every day. The money is held in your Fee Otter account, not your Bybit account; once a withdrawal request passes Fee Otter’s risk checks, it is paid on-chain in USDT (BEP20), and Fee Otter does not state a fixed processing time. The rebate is paid by Fee Otter, not by the exchange, and not by Kevin Wu.

What are Bybit’s trading fees?

For regular users (VIP 0), spot fees are 0.1% for both maker and taker, and futures are 0.02% maker and 0.055% taker. Turning on MNT fee payment gives 25% off on spot and 10% off on futures. VIP rates, how futures fees are calculated and the cost after Fee Otter’s rebate are covered in the Bybit trading fees guide.

Is Bybit safe?

On 2025-02-21, 401,346 ETH (about US$1.5 billion) was stolen from Bybit. Bybit kept operating and said client assets remained backed 1:1 and withdrawals were processed as normal. The shortfall was covered through loans, large deposits and ETH purchases; in the 2026-09-23 proof of reserves, the BTC reserve ratio was 104%. The full record is in the exchange safety record, and reserve ratios across exchanges are in exchange proof of reserves compared.
