Updated Rules checked 2026-10-12
USDT withdrawal fees are a fixed amount per withdrawal, no matter how much you withdraw, and the amount depends on two things together: which exchange and which network. On 2026-10-12 I went through the official fee tables of 13 exchanges. On the same TRC20 network, MEXC and HTX charge 0.5 USDT while KuCoin charges 1.99 USDT; on BEP20, Binance, Bitget, MEXC, HTX and Ourbit charge just 0.01 USDT.
Many people pick TRC20 out of habit when they send USDT, but on most exchanges it is now one of the most expensive networks. Taiwan’s two local exchanges show this even more clearly: MAX charges 3 USDT to withdraw over TRC20 and only 0.02 USDT over BEP20; BitoPro charges 2.5 USDT over TRC20 and 0.1 USDT over BEP20.
To send to MAX or BitoPro, you also have to pick a network both sides support. MAX accepts USDT on 7 networks and BitoPro on 5, and neither accepts Solana or TON. Below, in order: the cheapest network on each exchange, the fees and minimum withdrawals on every network, the cheapest routes into and out of the Taiwanese exchanges, and worked examples for 50, 1,000 and 10,000 USDT.
Key points:
1. USDT withdrawal fees are a fixed amount per withdrawal. Withdrawing 50 USDT costs the same as withdrawing 10,000 USDT, so the smaller the amount, the larger the share the fee takes.
2. According to official data from 2026-10-12, TRC20 costs 0.5 to 1.99 USDT across the 13 exchanges. On 8 of them (Binance, OKX, Bybit, Gate, BingX, HTX, WEEX and Ourbit), TRC20 is the most expensive of the commonly used networks listed (for HTX, not counting networks with withdrawals suspended that day), and on Bitget, MEXC, KuCoin and Pionex it is the second most expensive. On 9 exchanges ERC20 is cheaper than TRC20; the exceptions are Bitget, KuCoin, XT and Pionex.
3. On Binance, Bitget, HTX and Ourbit, BEP20 costs only 0.01 USDT, the cheapest network on those 4 exchanges; OKX doesn’t offer BEP20 for USDT withdrawals.
4. MAX accepts USDT on ERC20, TRC20, BEP20, Polygon, Arbitrum One, Avalanche C-Chain and Aptos; BitoPro accepts BEP20, ERC20, Polygon, Kaia and TRC20.
5. Withdrawing from MAX costs 3 USDT on TRC20, 0.02 USDT on BEP20 and Polygon, and 0 on Avalanche C-Chain.
6. The withdrawal side and the deposit side must use the same network. For TON and some other networks, Binance, Gate, KuCoin and WEEX also require a Memo/Tag.
The data below was checked against official pages on 2026-10-12 (data check date; USDT withdrawal fees and minimums for OKX, Binance, Bitget and Gate were re-checked on 2026-10-22) and is provided for reference.
Which network has the lowest USDT withdrawal fee? All 13 exchanges
The table lists the cheapest of 12 common networks on each exchange, next to TRC20, ERC20 and BEP20, the three networks people in Taiwan use most. All amounts are in USDT; “—” means the exchange doesn’t offer USDT withdrawals on that network.
| Exchange | Cheapest network | Fee (USDT) | Min. withdrawal | TRC20 | ERC20 | BEP20 | Source |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Binance | BEP20 | 0.01 | 5 | 1.5 | 0.6 | 0.01 | Binance fee page |
| OKX | Plasma (USDT0) | 0.0000058 | 2 | 1.5 | 0.43 | — | OKX withdrawal fee page |
| Bybit | Plasma (USDT0) | 0 | 2 | 1.3 | 0.8 | 0.15 | Bybit deposit and withdrawal status page |
| Bitget | BEP20 | 0.01 | 5 | 1.5 | 2 | 0.01 | Bitget official coin API |
| MEXC | Plasma | 0 | 10 | 0.5 | 0.094 | 0.01 | MEXC fee overview |
| Gate | Aptos | 0.04 | 1 | 1.5 | 1 | 0.5 | Gate fee page |
| BingX | Aptos | 0.01 | 5 | 1.5 | 1 | 0.15 | BingX deposit and withdrawal fee page |
| KuCoin | Plasma | 0.4 | 5 | 1.99 | 5.5 | 1 | KuCoin official currency API |
| HTX | BEP20 | 0.01 | 1 | 0.5 | 0.3 | 0.01 | HTX official currency API |
| XT | Aptos | 0.01 | 10 | 1 | 4 | 0.5 | XT official wallet API |
| WEEX | Plasma / Optimism | 0.015 | 5 | 1.5 | 0.5 | 0.05 | WEEX fee schedule |
| Pionex | Plasma | 0.011 | 2 | 1 | 1.0522 | 0.2 | Pionex withdrawal fee guide |
| Ourbit | BEP20 | 0.01 | 10 | 1.5 | 0.2 | 0.01 | Ourbit fee page |
The table shows three things:
- The cheapest network differs by exchange. BEP20 is cheapest on Binance, Bitget, HTX and Ourbit (0.01 USDT); Plasma, a newer network, is cheapest on OKX, Bybit, MEXC, KuCoin and Pionex; Aptos is cheapest on Gate, BingX and XT; on WEEX, Plasma and Optimism tie (0.015 USDT).
- OKX doesn’t offer BEP20 for USDT withdrawals. If you’re used to BEP20 on Binance, you’ll need a different network on OKX.
- Plasma and Aptos are cheap, but neither MAX nor BitoPro accepts Plasma, and BitoPro doesn’t accept Aptos either. The cheapest network isn’t always usable; it depends on the receiving side.
OKX and Bybit label Plasma, Arbitrum One and some other networks as “USDT0”, and OKX labels Polygon that way too. Other platforms don’t necessarily use the same name, so before you send, check that the network name and contract address on the receiving deposit page match the ones you chose.
USDT withdrawal fees and minimums by network on 13 exchanges
The full comparison is split into two tables. Each cell reads “fee (minimum withdrawal)”, in USDT. * means the exchange labels the network as USDT0; † means the exchange’s data states that TON withdrawals need a Memo/Tag. No † doesn’t mean you never need one: if the withdrawal page shows a Memo field, fill it in.

Sources: Binance deposit and withdrawal fee page, OKX withdrawal fee page, Bybit deposit and withdrawal status page, Gate fee page, HTX official currency API, KuCoin official currency API, and the pages in the “Source” column of the table in the previous section. The fee pages of Binance, OKX, Bybit, MEXC, Gate, BingX, WEEX and Ourbit load with JavaScript, so I read the public data those official pages themselves call; Pionex’s guide was last updated on 2026-08-18. Each exchange offers more than these 12 networks: Binance offers USDT withdrawals on 19 networks in total and Gate on 22. The tables include only the common ones.
Several networks were suspended that day: HTX had suspended USDT withdrawals on Arbitrum, Polygon, Plasma and other networks, Gate had suspended Optimism withdrawals (reopened by 2026-10-22, at 0.05 USDT), KuCoin had suspended Optimism deposits, and Bybit had 2 less-used networks (CORN, zkSync Lite) suspended. Suspensions often lift within a few days, so go by the page at the time you withdraw.
How much is the TRC20 fee? Why it isn’t always the cheapest
TRC20 (the TRON network) used to be the cheapest way to send USDT, which is why many tutorials still recommend it. The figures on 2026-10-12: MEXC and HTX 0.5 USDT; XT and Pionex 1 USDT; Bybit 1.3 USDT; Binance, OKX, Bitget, Gate, BingX, WEEX and Ourbit 1.5 USDT; KuCoin 1.99 USDT.
The same day, ERC20 was cheaper than TRC20 on 9 of the 13 exchanges: Binance 0.6 vs 1.5, OKX 0.43 vs 1.5 (both re-checked on 2026-10-22), MEXC 0.094 vs 0.5, Ourbit 0.2 vs 1.5, HTX 0.3 vs 0.5. The exceptions were Bitget (ERC20 2 USDT), KuCoin (5.5 USDT), XT (4 USDT) and Pionex (1.0522 USDT, slightly more than its 1 USDT on TRC20). So whether “ERC20 is expensive” depends on the exchange: it’s true on KuCoin, not on MEXC.
ERC20 sometimes comes with extra limits: KuCoin requires at least 30 USDT per ERC20 withdrawal and WEEX at least 20 USDT. For small withdrawals, look at the minimum withdrawal as well as the fee.
Sending USDT from international exchanges to MAX or BitoPro: which network?
MAX and BitoPro are local exchanges in Taiwan, so this section and the next mainly matter to readers in Taiwan. First, which networks the two accept. The table below is based on the MAX public API and the BitoPro public API; the fees are also shown on the MAX fee page and the BitoPro limits and fees page. “Withdrawal fee” is what you pay to withdraw from MAX or BitoPro.
| Network | Does MAX accept USDT? | Does BitoPro accept USDT? |
|---|---|---|
| TRC20 | Yes; withdrawal fee 3 (min. 6) | Yes; withdrawal fee 2.5 (min. 10) |
| ERC20 | Yes; withdrawal fee 0.4 (min. 6) | Yes; withdrawal fee 0.3 (min. 10) |
| BEP20 | Yes; withdrawal fee 0.02 (min. 6) | Yes; withdrawal fee 0.1 (min. 10) |
| Polygon | Yes; withdrawal fee 0.02 (min. 6) | Yes; withdrawal fee 0.1 (min. 10) |
| Arbitrum One | Yes; withdrawal fee 0.11 (min. 6) | Not supported |
| Avalanche C | Yes; withdrawal fee 0 (min. 6) | Not supported |
| Aptos | Yes; withdrawal fee 0.11 (min. 6) | Not supported |
| Kaia | Not supported | Yes; withdrawal fee 0.2 (min. 10) |
| Solana, TON, Optimism, Plasma | Not supported | Not supported |
BitoPro’s API also lists USDT (Omni Layer), with both deposits and withdrawals closed that day. MAX has Avalanche C-Chain, Arbitrum One and Aptos, which BitoPro doesn’t; BitoPro has Kaia, which MAX doesn’t.
Putting the international exchanges’ withdrawal fees next to the networks the Taiwanese exchanges accept, here is the cheapest network both sides support:
| Sending from | Cheapest to MAX | Cheapest to BitoPro | Via TRC20 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Binance | BEP20 0.01 | BEP20 0.01 | 1.5 |
| OKX | Aptos 0.0023 | ERC20 0.43 (Polygon, labeled USDT0, is 0.013*) | 1.5 |
| Bybit | Aptos 0.002 | Polygon 0.07 | 1.3 |
| Bitget | BEP20 0.01 | BEP20 0.01 | 1.5 |
| MEXC | Avalanche C 0.000074 | Polygon 0.0065 | 0.5 |
| Gate | Aptos 0.04 | Polygon 0.05 | 1.5 |
| BingX | Aptos 0.01 | BEP20 0.15 | 1.5 |
| KuCoin | Aptos 0.5 | Polygon 0.8 | 1.99 |
| HTX | BEP20 0.01 | BEP20 0.01 | 0.5 |
| XT | Aptos 0.01 | Polygon 0.02 | 1 |
| WEEX | BEP20 0.05 | BEP20 0.05 | 1.5 |
| Pionex | Avalanche C 0.081 | BEP20 0.2 | 1 |
| Ourbit | BEP20 0.01 | BEP20 0.01 | 1.5 |
A few things to watch:
- From OKX to BitoPro, the only shared networks not labeled USDT0 are ERC20 (0.43 USDT) and TRC20 (1.5 USDT). OKX’s Polygon is labeled USDT0 and costs 0.013 USDT; before using it, compare the contract address on BitoPro’s deposit page.
- Bybit charges only 0.002 USDT on Aptos, but Bybit’s data doesn’t list a minimum withdrawal for Aptos, so check it on the withdrawal page.
- From KuCoin, even the cheapest option, Aptos, costs 0.5 USDT, and the cheapest route to BitoPro, Polygon, costs 0.8 USDT, higher than on the other exchanges.
- The Taiwanese exchanges accept fewer networks than the international ones, so the “cheapest to MAX” option often isn’t that exchange’s lowest fee overall. For example, Pionex’s cheapest network is Plasma (0.011 USDT), but MAX doesn’t accept it, so you have to use Avalanche C-Chain (0.081 USDT) instead.
Sending USDT from MAX or BitoPro to international exchanges: which network is cheapest?
The reverse direction is usually the more common route for people in Taiwan: buy USDT with New Taiwan dollars (TWD) on MAX or BitoPro, then send it to an international exchange. Here you pay MAX’s or BitoPro’s withdrawal fee; on the international exchange’s side, most crypto deposits are free (Binance’s data, for example, lists the USDT deposit fee as 0). Go by each exchange’s deposit page.
- Withdrawing from MAX: the withdrawal fee is 0 on Avalanche C-Chain, 0.02 USDT each on BEP20 and Polygon, 0.11 USDT each on Arbitrum One and Aptos, 0.4 USDT on ERC20 and 3 USDT on TRC20, with a minimum of 6 USDT per withdrawal. Of the 13 exchanges, only BingX doesn’t offer Avalanche C-Chain for USDT; to send to BingX, use BEP20 or Polygon (0.02 USDT) instead.
- Withdrawing from BitoPro: 0.1 USDT each on BEP20 and Polygon, 0.2 USDT on Kaia, 0.3 USDT on ERC20 and 2.5 USDT on TRC20, with a minimum of 10 USDT per withdrawal. OKX’s public list of USDT networks doesn’t include BEP20, so use Polygon (labeled USDT0 by OKX) or ERC20; Pionex’s list doesn’t include Polygon, so use BEP20.
- The difference on a round trip is large: sending 1,000 USDT from MAX to Binance over TRC20 (3 USDT) and back from Binance to MAX over TRC20 (1.5 USDT) costs 4.5 USDT in total; switching both legs to BEP20 costs 0.02 + 0.01 = 0.03 USDT, a 150-fold difference.
I judged whether an international exchange accepts a network from its public list of USDT networks. Before you transfer, still open the recipient’s deposit page, pick the same network and copy the deposit address specific to that network.
Worked examples: what you pay to withdraw 50, 1,000 and 10,000 USDT
Divide the fixed fee by the withdrawal amount and you get the share the fee takes. The table uses official fees from 2026-10-12:
| Scenario | Fee (USDT) | Withdraw 50 USDT | Withdraw 1,000 USDT | Withdraw 10,000 USDT |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Binance via TRC20 | 1.5 | 3% | 0.15% | 0.015% |
| Binance via BEP20 | 0.01 | 0.02% | 0.001% | 0.0001% |
| KuCoin via ERC20 | 5.5 | 11% | 0.55% | 0.055% |
| XT via ERC20 | 4 | 8% | 0.4% | 0.04% |
| MAX withdrawal via TRC20 | 3 | 6% | 0.3% | 0.03% |
| MAX withdrawal via BEP20 | 0.02 | 0.04% | 0.002% | 0.0002% |
| BitoPro withdrawal via TRC20 | 2.5 | 5% | 0.25% | 0.025% |
| BitoPro withdrawal via BEP20 | 0.1 | 0.2% | 0.01% | 0.001% |
On a 50 USDT withdrawal, KuCoin’s 5.5 USDT ERC20 fee is 11% and MAX’s TRC20 fee is 6%; on 10,000 USDT, the same fees drop to 0.055% and 0.03%. Compare that with trading fees: the Binance spot taker fee for regular users is 0.1%, so buying 1,000 USDT worth of crypto costs 1 USDT. A single 1.5 USDT TRC20 withdrawal already costs more than that trade.
If you transfer small amounts many times, the network choice matters most. If you move a large amount at once, the network makes a difference of only a few USDT at most, and your attention is better spent on getting the address and network right. Referral code rebates only return trading fees; withdrawal fees aren’t covered. For how trading costs work out, see actual trading fees after referral code rebates.
How to choose a USDT withdrawal network: a pre-transfer checklist
- Start with the recipient: open the deposit page of the receiving exchange or wallet, see which networks it supports, and choose from those. Binance’s guidance states that you “must select a network compatible with the withdrawal address” and shouldn’t simply pick the lowest-fee option (Binance withdrawal fee FAQ).
- Check the network name and contract address: a network called Polygon may be labeled USDT0 on one exchange and not on another. When the names differ, compare the contract address before sending.
- Weigh the fee against the amount: the fee is fixed, so the smaller the amount, the more it pays to pick a cheap network.
- Check the minimums on both ends: the sender has a minimum withdrawal (KuCoin’s ERC20 minimum is 30 USDT, for example) and the recipient has a minimum deposit. The OKX deposit and withdrawal fee FAQ states that a deposit below the minimum deposit amount won’t be credited.
- Memo/Tag or not: the data of Binance, Gate, KuCoin and WEEX all states that TON withdrawals need a Memo/Tag. If the recipient’s deposit page gives a Memo, include it.
- Check whether the network is suspended: during maintenance or congestion, withdrawals or deposits may be closed temporarily. On 2026-10-12, for example, HTX had suspended USDT withdrawals on Polygon and Arbitrum.
- Use internal transfers within the same exchange: KuCoin, Bybit and Pionex all state that transfers to other accounts on the same platform are free (KuCoin withdrawal and internal transfer guide, Bybit fee overview, Pionex internal quick transfer guide), with no on-chain transfer needed.
- The first time you send to a new address, you can send a small amount first, confirm it arrives, then send the larger amount. The cost is one extra fee, so test on a cheap network.
The withdrawal fee only appears on the exchange’s withdrawal page and is deducted straight from your account. If someone asks you to send a separate “fee” or “unfreezing deposit” before you can withdraw, that is a common scam; see common types of exchange scams.
What happens if you pick the wrong network? What the exchanges say
The exchanges are blunt about the consequences of choosing the wrong network:
- Binance: its withdrawal fee FAQ states that if you choose a network the receiving address doesn’t support, your funds may be permanently lost and can’t be recovered (Binance withdrawal fee FAQ).
- KuCoin: the deposit network must match the network used by the sending platform; an incompatible or mismatched network will lead to lost funds, which may not be recoverable (KuCoin deposit guide).
- XT: it warns against simply picking the network with the lowest fee; with the wrong network, your funds may not be recoverable (XT withdrawal guide).
- OKX: a deposit below the minimum deposit amount won’t be credited; currently only some coins support recovery, and recovery carries an additional fee (OKX deposit and withdrawal fee FAQ).
I couldn’t find a clear rule on the official pages of MAX or BitoPro about how they handle deposits sent over the wrong network. If you do send to the wrong network, keep the transaction ID (TxID), the sending network and the amount, and contact the receiving platform’s support as soon as possible. Whether the funds can be recovered, and whether there’s a fee, depends on what support tells you.
Do USDT withdrawal fees change? How often to check
Yes, and they change fast. The Binance withdrawal fee FAQ states that withdrawal fees vary with network congestion and other factors without prior notice, and that minimum withdrawals are adjusted too; XT’s announcement on dynamic withdrawal fees explains that XT calculates withdrawal fees dynamically based on coin prices; and the BingX fee schedule states that BingX adjusts them in real time based on on-chain gas fees.
My own records show it too: when I compiled the OKX fees article on 2026-10-11, OKX charged 0.35 USDT for USDT over ERC20; when I checked again the next day, 2026-10-12, it was 0.55 USDT. The figures in this article are a snapshot from the check date. Before you confirm a withdrawal, go by the fee and minimum shown on the withdrawal page.
Exchanges don’t all describe who receives the withdrawal fee the same way. Binance states that the fee isn’t paid to Binance but to the miners or validators who process the transaction; WEEX’s withdrawal FAQ says it is “collected by miners, not by the platform” (WEEX withdrawal FAQ). Still, the amounts for the same network vary a lot between exchanges, with TRC20 alone ranging from 0.5 to 1.99 USDT, so the actual charge is still set by each exchange.
FAQ
How much is the USDT withdrawal fee?
It’s a fixed charge per withdrawal that varies by exchange and network. In the official data from 2026-10-12, the cheapest network across the 13 exchanges ranged from 0 (Plasma on MEXC and Bybit) to 0.4 USDT (Plasma on KuCoin); TRC20 ranged from 0.5 to 1.99 USDT and ERC20 from 0.094 to 5.5 USDT. See the tables above for the full figures, and go by the amount shown on the withdrawal page before you withdraw.
How much is the TRC20 fee?
Checked on 2026-10-12: MEXC and HTX 0.5 USDT, XT and Pionex 1 USDT, Bybit 1.3 USDT, KuCoin 1.99 USDT, and 1.5 USDT on the other 7 exchanges; Taiwan’s MAX charges 3 USDT to withdraw and BitoPro 2.5 USDT. On most exchanges TRC20 is no longer the cheapest network: ERC20 is cheaper than TRC20 on 9 of the 13.
How much does Binance charge to withdraw USDT?
Binance’s USDT withdrawal fees on common networks as of 2026-10-22: BEP20 0.01, Plasma 0.012, opBNB 0.015, Kaia 0.02, Polygon 0.03, Avalanche C-Chain and Optimism 0.04 each, Aptos 0.1, Solana, TON and Arbitrum One 0.3 each, ERC20 0.6, TRC20 1.5 USDT. The minimum withdrawal is 3 or 5 USDT, and TON requires a Memo. For current fees, go by the Binance deposit and withdrawal fee page or the withdrawal page.
Which chain is cheapest for USDT transfers?
It depends on where you send from and where you send to. Looking only at the sender, BEP20 is cheapest on Binance, Bitget, HTX and Ourbit (0.01 USDT), and Plasma is cheapest on OKX, Bybit and MEXC. But the recipient has to support the same network, so check the recipient’s deposit page first, then pick the cheapest of the shared networks.
Which network should I use to send USDT from an international exchange to MAX?
Choose the network MAX supports that has the lowest fee on the sending side. MAX accepts USDT on ERC20, TRC20, BEP20, Polygon, Arbitrum One, Avalanche C-Chain and Aptos. From Binance, Bitget, HTX, Ourbit and WEEX the cheapest is BEP20; from OKX, Bybit, Gate, BingX, KuCoin and XT it’s Aptos; from MEXC and Pionex it’s Avalanche C-Chain.
Which USDT networks does BitoPro support?
BitoPro’s public API lists five USDT networks open for deposits and withdrawals: BEP20, ERC20, Polygon, Kaia and TRC20; Omni Layer has been closed. Withdrawing from BitoPro costs 0.1 USDT each on BEP20 and Polygon and 2.5 USDT on TRC20, with a minimum of 10 USDT per withdrawal.
Do I need a Memo or Tag to withdraw USDT?
Not on most networks, but on a few, such as TON, you do. The data of Binance, Gate, KuCoin and WEEX all states that USDT withdrawals over TON need a Memo/Tag. The Memo is what the recipient uses to identify the account to credit, so if the deposit page provides one, you must include it.
Where is the withdrawal fee deducted from?
It depends on how the exchange is set up, and the withdrawal confirmation page spells it out. On OKX, for example, the fee is deducted separately from your balance when the balance is sufficient, and from the withdrawal amount itself when you choose to withdraw everything (OKX deposit and withdrawal fee FAQ).
Can I recover USDT sent over the wrong network?
Usually not. The official guidance of Binance, KuCoin and XT all states that funds sent over the wrong network may be permanently lost; OKX states that currently only some coins support recovery, and at an additional fee. If it happens, keep the TxID and contact the receiving platform’s support as soon as possible.
Each exchange’s trading fees are covered in Binance fees, OKX fees, Bybit fees, Bitget fees, MEXC fees, Gate fees, BingX fees, KuCoin fees, HTX fees, XT fees, WEEX fees, Pionex fees and Ourbit fees (Ourbit spot trading is currently fee-free, so there’s no rebate).
