Updated Rules checked 2026-10-19
For regular BTCC users (VIP 0), perpetual futures fees are Taker 0.055% and Maker 0.03%, and spot fees are Taker 0.3% and Maker 0.2%. Once your cumulative deposits reach 200 USDT, you move up to VIP 1 and futures fees drop to Taker 0.05% and Maker 0.025%. On the official fee page, spot uses the same rate from VIP 0 all the way to VIP 7.
BTCC’s fee page has no platform-token discount. What VIP levels give you is lower futures fees, a withdrawal fee discount, and a higher share of fees that coupons can cover. This guide puts spot, futures, VIP requirements, the funding rate, the liquidation fee and withdrawal fees in one place, cites the official source for every number, and works through the math so you can see what you’d actually pay.
Key points
BTCC futures fees at VIP 0 are Taker 0.055% and Maker 0.03%, calculated on position value and charged once when you open and once when you close.
BTCC spot fees are Taker 0.3% and Maker 0.2%, the same for every VIP level on the fee page.
Cumulative deposits of 200 USDT (or the equivalent in other coins) upgrade you to VIP 1 immediately, cutting futures fees to Taker 0.05% and Maker 0.025%.
BTCC settles funding fees every 8 hours (00:00, 08:00 and 16:00 Taiwan time). Longs and shorts pay each other; BTCC doesn’t collect them.
BTCC charges nothing for crypto deposits. USDT withdrawal fees depend on the network: checked on 2026-10-19, TRC20 was 1.5 USDT and ERC20 and BEP20 were 2 USDT.
The figures below were checked against BTCC’s official pages on 2026-10-19 (the fact-check date) and are provided for reference.
The short answer: BTCC fees at a glance
| Market | Maker | Taker | With platform-token discount | Notes |

| Spot | 0.2% | 0.3% | No platform-token discount | Same from VIP 0 to VIP 7 on the fee page |
| Perpetual futures (VIP 0) | 0.03% | 0.055% | No platform-token discount | Calculated on position value, charged once on opening and once on closing; funding fees are extra |
| Perpetual futures (VIP 1) | 0.025% | 0.05% | No platform-token discount | Unlocked with cumulative deposits of 200 USDT |

The futures column doesn’t separate USDT-margined, USDC-margined and coin-margined contracts, and BTCC doesn’t state officially whether every contract type uses the same rate. A BTCC Academy article dated 2026-07-15 gives the VIP 0 Taker fee as 0.048%, which differs from the 0.055% now on the fee page; this guide follows the fee page.

| Ourbit | 0% / 0% | 0.02% / 0.04% |
Source: BTCC figures from its official fee page on 2026-10-19; the other 13 exchanges come from this site’s fee guide for each exchange (checked against each exchange’s official pages on 2026-10-11), linked in the table.
Put BTCC next to the 13 exchanges this site covers and three things stand out:
- Futures Taker sits in the middle: 0.055% matches Bybit. It’s a little higher than the 0.05% at Binance, OKX, Gate, BingX and Pionex, and lower than the 0.06% at Bitget, KuCoin, HTX and XT and the 0.08% at WEEX. Ourbit at 0.04% and MEXC at 0.02% are cheaper.
- Futures Maker is on the high side: 0.03% is the highest in the table. The other 12 exchanges charge 0.02% and MEXC charges 0%. If you mostly place limit orders, you pay 1.5 times what most exchanges charge for Maker orders on BTCC.
- Spot is clearly expensive: the 0.3% Taker fee is the highest in the table, about 3 times the 0.1% most exchanges charge, and the spot rate on the fee page doesn’t drop as your VIP level rises. Going by fees alone, BTCC suits futures trading better than heavy spot trading.
That said, BTCC’s VIP 1 bar is very low: deposit 200 USDT and you get futures Taker 0.05% and Maker 0.025%, a Taker fee equal to VIP 0 at Binance and OKX. For a full comparison across exchanges, see the lowest-fee crypto exchanges compared.
How much do Maker and Taker differ on BTCC?
According to BTCC’s explanation of makers and takers, an order that fills immediately after you place it (whether partly or fully) is a taker order, and a market order is always a taker order. The part of a limit order that first goes onto the order book and fills later is a maker order. BTCC also points out that a limit order priced so it can fill right away still counts as a taker order.
Take the BTCUSDT perpetual as an example. BTC trades at 100,000 USDT and you place a limit buy at 99,500 USDT that only fills when the price dips, so you pay the 0.03% Maker fee. Buy at market instead and you pay the 0.055% Taker fee. On the same 10,000 USDT trade, Maker costs 3 USDT and Taker costs 5.5 USDT, a 2.5 USDT difference. The gap between Maker and Taker on BTCC is smaller than at most exchanges (elsewhere 0.02% versus 0.05% is common, a 2.5x difference), so switching to limit orders saves a smaller share. With high monthly volume, though, the difference still adds up. For a general explanation of Maker and Taker, see Maker vs. Taker fees explained.
How are BTCC spot fees calculated?
| Trade | Maker 0.2% | Taker 0.3% |
|---|---|---|
| Buy 1,000 USDT of BTC | 2 USDT | 3 USDT |
| Buy 10,000 USDT of BTC | 20 USDT | 30 USDT |
| Buy and then sell 10,000 USDT (round trip) | 40 USDT | 60 USDT |
| 100,000 USDT of spot volume per month | 200 USDT | 300 USDT |
Source: the spot column of BTCC’s VIP fee page (Taker / Maker 0.3% / 0.2%), checked 2026-10-19; amounts calculated by this guide from those rates.
The formula is trade value × fee rate. Buying 10,000 USDT of BTC at market costs 10,000 × 0.3% = 30 USDT in fees; the same amount at Binance’s 0.1% costs 10 USDT. BTCC’s help pages don’t state whether the spot fee is taken in USDT or in the coin you buy. After a trade, you can check the spot trade history under “Transaction Report”.
Moving up a VIP level won’t lower spot fees either: the spot column on BTCC’s fee page shows 0.3% / 0.2% from VIP 0 to VIP 7. I also couldn’t find any zero-fee spot pairs listed officially by BTCC. If you mainly trade spot and care about cost, factor this in first.
How are BTCC futures fees calculated?
| Trade | VIP 0 Maker 0.03% | VIP 0 Taker 0.055% | VIP 1 Taker 0.05% |
|---|---|---|---|
| Open 10,000 USDT | 3 USDT | 5.5 USDT | 5 USDT |
| Open + close 10,000 USDT | 6 USDT | 11 USDT | 10 USDT |
| Open + close 20,000 USDT | 12 USDT | 22 USDT | 20 USDT |
Source: BTCC’s VIP fee page, checked 2026-10-19; amounts calculated by this guide from those rates.
BTCC’s VIP rules state that every opening and closing fee is charged at your VIP level at that moment (the “Terms & Conditions” on the fee page, effective from 2025-11-19). Fees are calculated on position value, not margin: BTCC Academy’s fee comparison article states that perpetual futures fees are based on the full notional value of the position, not the margin you put in.
Fees are based on position value, not margin. With 1,000 USDT of margin at 10x, the position value is 1,000 × 10 = 10,000 USDT. At VIP 0, opening with a Taker order costs 10,000 × 0.055% = 5.5 USDT and closing costs another 5.5 USDT, so the round trip is 11 USDT, or 1.1% of your margin. If you open and close with Maker orders, it’s 10,000 × 0.03% × 2 = 6 USDT.
Use the same 1,000 USDT of margin at 20x and the position value is 20,000 USDT. A Taker round trip then costs 22 USDT, 2.2% of your margin, paid before the price has moved at all. The higher the leverage and the more often you trade, the larger the share of your capital that goes to fees. If the price moves against you, a leveraged position can also be liquidated and you can lose your entire margin.
Rounding: BTCC’s explanation of VIP benefits and trading fees (updated 2026-08-04) states that all fees are calculated to two decimal places, with anything beyond that rounded. For how positions, leverage and margin modes actually work on BTCC, see the BTCC futures guide; for the general futures fee formula, see how futures fees are calculated.
How do BTCC VIP levels work?

| VIP 0 | — | — | — | 0.055% / 0.03% | 0.3% / 0.2% |

Source: the “VIP requirement” and “Fee rates” sections of BTCC’s VIP fee page, checked 2026-10-19. Meeting any one of the three requirements is enough to upgrade, and the fee page lists rates in the order Taker / Maker.
- How to reach VIP 1: the fee page says “deposit 200 USDT to become VIP 1”, and the VIP terms say that cumulative deposits of 200 USDT (or the equivalent in other coins) upgrade you immediately, without waiting for the daily update.
- How often levels update: from VIP 1 up, levels are upgraded or downgraded automatically every day at 01:00 (Taiwan time), and the new level and fees take effect then.
- What counts as volume: the FAQ on the fee page says futures opening and closing trades and spot trades over the last 30 days all count, including USDT-margined, coin-margined and tokenized contracts, and the data updates in real time.
- How total assets are counted: futures account + wallet account + unrealized PnL, including Futures Pro and spot assets. You can see it under “Assets” → total account assets.
- Downgrades and grace periods: you’re downgraded when both your total assets and your 30-day volume fall short. VIP 3 and above get a grace period: 10 days at VIP 3, 15 days at VIP 4, up to 30 days at VIP 7, during which your current level’s fees still apply. BTCC doesn’t state officially whether you can be downgraded after reaching VIP 1 through cumulative deposits.
- VIP status match from other exchanges: if you’re already a VIP elsewhere, or your volume or assets meet BTCC’s VIP 3 standard, you can upload proof and apply. After a manual review you go up one level; upgrades through this route don’t qualify for the VIP upgrade gift package.
| Level | Withdrawal fee discount | Convert fee discount | Fee coverage rate with coupons | Grace period (days) | 24-hour additional withdrawal limit (USDT) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| VIP 0 | — | — | — | — | — |
| VIP 1 | 10% | 10% | 10% | — | — |
| VIP 2 | 10% | 10% | 10% | — | — |
| VIP 3 | 20% | 20% | 15% | 10 | 500,000 |
| VIP 4 | 30% | 30% | 20% | 15 | 500,000 |
| VIP 5 | 40% | 40% | 25% | 20 | 500,000 |
| VIP 6 | 50% | 50% | 30% | 25 | 1,000,000 |
| VIP 7 | 60% | 60% | 35% | 30 | 1,500,000 |
Source: level data on BTCC’s VIP fee page, checked 2026-10-19. The additional withdrawal limit applies only to KYC2 accounts that have completed face verification; for the identity verification steps, see the BTCC KYC verification guide.
For most retail traders, VIP 1 comes almost automatically with a deposit. VIP 2 needs 15,000 USDT in total assets or 7.5 million USDT in monthly futures volume, a big jump. Someone trading 300,000 USDT of futures a month can’t reach the 500,000 USDT volume bar for VIP 1, but with 200 USDT in cumulative deposits they’re already VIP 1. There’s no need to trade more just to level up.
Does BTCC offer a platform-token fee discount?
No. I found no field or rule for paying fees with a platform token at a discount on BTCC’s fee page or in its Support Centre, unlike Binance with BNB or Bybit with MNT. Two things on the fee page relate to fee offsets:
- Coupons: coupons handed out in promotions can cover futures trading fees. The fee page describes the “Fee coverage rate with coupons” as the share of fees coupons can cover when you trade futures: 10% at VIP 1, up to 35% at VIP 7. According to BTCC’s guide to coupons and trading funds (updated 2026-02-25), coupons currently work only in Cross Margin mode, not Isolated Margin. For the difference between the two, see cross vs. isolated margin.
- VIP discounts: withdrawal fees and Convert fees are discounted by VIP level, 10% at VIP 1 and 60% at VIP 7; see the table in the previous section.
Coupons and trading funds come with restrictions. The guide prohibits registering multiple accounts and using trading funds to open opposite long and short positions or to hedge or wash trade. Violations lead to the trading funds and related profits being cancelled, and in serious cases 20% of the principal is deducted as an administrative fee.
Is the funding rate a fee BTCC charges?
No. According to BTCC’s funding fee explanation (updated 2026-08-13), BTCC doesn’t collect any funding fees; users pay them to each other. When the rate is positive, longs pay shorts; when it’s negative, shorts pay longs. The point is to keep the perpetual futures price close to the underlying price.
- Settlement times: every 8 hours, at 08:00, 16:00 and 00:00 Taiwan time. You pay or receive only if you hold a position at one of these three times. BTCC doesn’t pause trading during the calculation, so opening or closing at, say, 08:00:05 may still mean paying or receiving a funding fee.
- Formula: for USDT-margined contracts, “funding fee = position value × funding rate”, where position value = best opposite price × position size. Leverage doesn’t affect it. The funding fee is deducted from your futures account and may affect your liquidation price.
- Possible changes: in volatile markets, BTCC has the right to adjust the funding rate caps and floors, and may also raise the number of settlements above three a day.
An example: a 10,000 USDT long with a funding rate of +0.01% pays 10,000 × 0.01% = 1 USDT per period, or 3 USDT a day over 3 periods. Hold for 4 days and that’s 12 USDT, already more than the 11 USDT Taker round trip at VIP 0. BTCC’s own example is a 1 BTC long with a best opposite price of 95,000 USDT and a rate of 0.02%, which pays 19 USDT per period. The longer you hold, the bigger the share of funding fees in your total cost. For the full mechanism, see what is the funding rate.
How much is the fee if you get liquidated?
According to BTCC’s forced liquidation fee rules (updated 2026-08-13), when a position is liquidated (in cross or isolated margin), BTCC charges a liquidation fee that goes into the insurance fund, and the transaction record marks it as “Liquidation fee”. For USDT-margined contracts, the formula is liquidation quantity × liquidation price × liquidation fee rate, charged in USDT.
- 1% rate: BTCUSDT, BTCUSD, ETHUSDT, ETHUSD, XRPUSDT, XRPUSD, SOLUSDT, SOLUSD, DOGEUSDT.
- 1.2% rate: all other products. BTCC reserves the right to change the liquidation fee and may do so without notice.
This fee is far more expensive than a normal close. Say a liquidated BTCUSDT position is worth 9,000 USDT at the liquidation price: the liquidation fee is 9,000 × 1% = 90 USDT. Closing the same position yourself with a Taker order costs only 9,000 × 0.055% = 4.95 USDT, so the liquidation fee is about 18 times as much. On a contract for any other coin, the rate is 1.2%, which makes it 108 USDT. Leverage magnifies losses: if the price moves against you, you can lose all your margin and pay this liquidation fee on top. Before you trade, you can estimate with the liquidation price calculator and set a stop-loss.
Does BTCC charge for deposits, withdrawals or Convert?
Deposits are free; withdrawals carry a fixed fee. The “Deposits & Withdrawals” tab of BTCC’s fee page states that BTCC charges no fee for crypto deposits, but each coin has a minimum amount per deposit, and a deposit below that minimum is forfeited and will not be credited. Each withdrawal costs a fixed fee that covers the blockchain transfer cost. The fees for each USDT network are below:
| USDT network | Minimum deposit | Deposit fee | Withdrawal fee |
|---|---|---|---|
| Solana (SOL) | 1 USDT | 0 | 1 USDT |
| TRON (TRC20) | 1 USDT | 0 | 1.5 USDT |
| BNB Smart Chain (BEP20) | 1 USDT | 0 | 2 USDT |
| Ethereum (ERC20) | 1 USDT | 0 | 2 USDT |
| Arbitrum One | 1 USDT | 0 | 5 USDT |
| Avalanche (C-Chain) | 1 USDT | 0 | 5 USDT |
| Optimism (OP Mainnet) | 1 USDT | 0 | 5 USDT |
| Polygon (POL) | 1 USDT | 0 | 5 USDT |
Source: the “Deposits & Withdrawals” tab of BTCC’s fee page, checked 2026-10-19. USDT-OMNI deposits and withdrawals are currently unavailable. Checked at the same time, the BTC mainnet withdrawal fee was 0.0001 BTC (minimum deposit 0.00002 BTC), and ETH on Ethereum, Arbitrum One, Base and OP Mainnet was 0.0006 ETH each.
- Withdrawal fees change: the fee page notes that withdrawal fees are set by the mainnet and may be adjusted without notice when the network is congested. BTCC’s withdrawal limits and fees explanation (updated 2026-08-25) also states that the actual fee, the minimum withdrawal and the amount received are whatever the withdrawal page shows at the time.
- A bit different from other exchanges: BTCC’s USDT ERC20 withdrawal fee is 2 USDT, the same as BEP20, while Polygon and Arbitrum cost 5 USDT. If you’re used to saving with Polygon elsewhere, look at Solana or TRC20 on BTCC instead, as long as the receiving side supports that network. For USDT withdrawal fees across exchanges, see the USDT withdrawal fee comparison; if you picked the wrong network, see what to do after depositing on the wrong network.
- Amount credited on deposits: BTCC’s deposit guide states that BTCC charges no deposit fee, but the amount credited is reduced by the withdrawal fee charged by the sending side and any on-chain miner fee.
- Convert: according to BTCC’s Convert guide (updated 2026-09-07), Convert actually executes spot trades, with USDT as the intermediate coin (BTC to ETH goes to USDT first and then to ETH, in two steps). If a conversion carries a fee, it is shown on the confirmation page; BTCC doesn’t state officially what the rate is. VIP 1 and above get a 10% to 60% discount on Convert fees.
- Card purchases and New Taiwan dollar (TWD) withdrawals: the button on BTCC’s guide to buying crypto with a credit/debit card says “buy with 0 fees”; BTCC doesn’t state officially whether the card issuer or payment provider charges extra, or how the exchange rate is set. The fiat withdrawal guide currently says this withdrawal method isn’t supported for now.
- TradFi overnight interest: BTCC’s site menu labels TradFi (precious metals, commodities, forex and stock contracts) “0 Fees”, but according to BTCC’s overnight interest explanation, tokenized stock, commodity and forex contract positions held past 00:00 (Taiwan time) each day are charged overnight interest, calculated as opening price × lots × overnight rate × days held. Crypto futures don’t carry overnight interest.
How do you check your own BTCC fee level?
- Website: log in and open BTCC’s VIP fee page (“Benefits” → “VIP Program” at the top of the site, or “Services” → “VIP Program” in the footer). It shows your current level, your fee rates, and how much more in deposits or volume you need for the next level.
- What each trade actually cost: according to BTCC’s guide to fund history and transaction reports (updated 2026-09-16), click the profile icon in the top-right corner → “Transaction Report” to view trade history for futures, spot and TradFi separately. Fund movements are under “Assets” → “Fund history” in the top-right corner, with a separate tab for coupons.
- App: BTCC’s help pages don’t state where in the app to find your VIP level and fee rates.
Trading 300,000 USDT of futures a month: what do you actually pay on BTCC?
| Scenario (300,000 USDT of futures volume per month) | All Taker | All Maker |
|---|---|---|
| VIP 0 | 300,000 × 0.055% = 165 USDT | 300,000 × 0.03% = 90 USDT |
| VIP 1 (cumulative deposits of 200 USDT) | 300,000 × 0.05% = 150 USDT | 300,000 × 0.025% = 75 USDT |
Source: rates from BTCC’s VIP fee page (2026-10-19); amounts calculated by this guide.
At this volume, moving from VIP 0 Taker to VIP 1 Maker cuts monthly fees from 165 USDT to 75 USDT, more than half. Getting to VIP 1 only takes 200 USDT in cumulative deposits, no extra trading; switching to limit orders means accepting that they won’t always fill. Funding fees aren’t included above: if you often hold positions overnight, each funding period adds to the cost. To work out fees, funding and leverage together, use the futures cost calculator.
5 ways to save on BTCC fees
Ranked by how much a typical retail trader saves (mostly futures, 300,000 USDT of monthly volume, some spot now and then):
- Use limit orders for futures where you can: switching from the VIP 1 Taker fee of 0.05% to the Maker fee of 0.025% cuts fees on 300,000 USDT a month from 150 USDT to 75 USDT, a 75 USDT saving and the biggest on this list. The trade-off is that limit orders don’t always fill, and when you need to get in or out quickly you’ll still have to take.
- Avoid liquidation: the liquidation fee of 1% to 1.2% is roughly 18 times or more a normal Taker close. A single liquidation of a 9,000 USDT position costs 90 USDT or more, more than a month of savings from limit orders. Keeping leverage in check and setting a stop-loss is how you avoid this fee.
- Get to VIP 1: cumulative deposits of 200 USDT upgrade you immediately, cutting futures Taker from 0.055% to 0.05% and Maker from 0.03% to 0.025%. On 300,000 USDT a month, all Taker, that saves 15 USDT, and withdrawal and Convert fees get 10% off too. The next level, VIP 2, needs 15,000 USDT in assets or 7.5 million in volume; trading more just to level up isn’t recommended.
- Don’t do heavy spot trading on BTCC: BTCC’s spot Taker fee is 0.3%, so 100,000 USDT of spot a month costs 300 USDT. The same volume at an exchange charging 0.1% costs 100 USDT, and BTCC’s spot rate doesn’t drop with VIP level.
- Pick the right withdrawal network and don’t deposit below the minimum: USDT costs 1 USDT on Solana and 1.5 USDT on TRC20, cheaper than the 5 USDT on Polygon and Arbitrum (checked 2026-10-19), as long as the receiving side supports the network. Deposits below the minimum per deposit are forfeited, so even a small test transfer must be above it.
FAQ
What are BTCC’s fees?
For regular BTCC users (VIP 0), perpetual futures fees are Taker 0.055% and Maker 0.03%, and spot fees are Taker 0.3% and Maker 0.2% (per the official fee page on 2026-10-19). After cumulative deposits of 200 USDT take you to VIP 1, futures fees drop to Taker 0.05% and Maker 0.025%. The top level, VIP 7, pays Taker 0.015% and Maker 0.01%, and the spot rate stays the same at every level.
How are BTCC futures fees calculated?
BTCC futures fee = position value × fee rate, charged once when you open and once when you close, regardless of leverage. With 1,000 USDT of margin at 10x, the position value is 10,000 USDT; at VIP 0, a Taker open costs 5.5 USDT and a Taker close costs 5.5 USDT, 11 USDT in total. If you hold through a funding settlement time, funding fees come on top.
Why are BTCC spot fees higher?
BTCC spot fees are Taker 0.3% and Maker 0.2%, the same from VIP 0 to VIP 7 on the fee page, which is higher than the 0.1% at most exchanges. BTCC doesn’t give an official reason. Its VIP perks focus on futures fees and withdrawal and Convert discounts, so costs run higher for people who mainly trade spot.
How much are BTCC withdrawal fees?
BTCC withdrawal fees depend on the coin and network, and deposits are free. Checked on 2026-10-19, USDT cost 1 USDT on Solana, 1.5 USDT on TRC20, 2 USDT each on BEP20 and ERC20, and 5 USDT each on Polygon and Arbitrum One; BTC on mainnet cost 0.0001 BTC. Fees may change with mainnet conditions, and the withdrawal page at the time is what counts. VIP 1 and above also get a withdrawal fee discount.
How do you upgrade to BTCC VIP 1?
Once your cumulative deposits on BTCC reach 200 USDT (or the equivalent in other coins), you’re upgraded to VIP 1 immediately, without waiting for the daily update. The other two routes are 500,000 USDT of futures volume or 100,000 USDT of spot volume over the last 30 days; meeting any one is enough. Levels from VIP 1 up update every day at 01:00 (Taiwan time).
How often does BTCC charge the funding rate?
BTCC settles funding fees every 8 hours, at 08:00, 16:00 and 00:00 Taiwan time, and you pay or receive only if you hold a position at those three times. Longs and shorts pay each other; BTCC doesn’t collect funding fees, and they aren’t trading fees. In volatile markets, BTCC may increase the number of settlements per day.
Can you pay BTCC fees with a platform token for a discount?
No. BTCC’s fee page and Support Centre have no rule for paying fees with a platform token at a discount. What lowers futures fees is your VIP level and coupons handed out in promotions; from VIP 1, coupons can cover 10% to 35% of fees, and they currently work only in Cross Margin mode.
Does BTCC charge extra if you’re liquidated?
Yes. When a position is liquidated, BTCC charges a liquidation fee: 1% of the liquidation value for 9 major products such as BTCUSDT, ETHUSDT and SOLUSDT, and 1.2% for all other products, far above the 0.055% for a normal close. If a 9,000 USDT BTCUSDT position is liquidated, the liquidation fee is 90 USDT.
